The big feature of the new GoPro Hero 8 Black is Hypersmooth 2.0 stabilization. In this video I test each of the digital lenses in the 4K 16:9 & 4K 4:3 resolutions with each of the available Hypersmooth options, comparing them against each other to see which looks best in terms of field of view (FOV) and stabilization. You can use this video as a reference to help you pick which mode to use in your unique situation.
The GoPro Hero 8 Black has the following digital lenses/field of views (FOVs) at 4K resolution:
4:3 - Wide
4:3 - Linear
16:9 - Superview
16:9 - Wide
16:9 - Linear
The GoPro Hero 8 Black has the following Hypersmooth 2.0 options:
Off
On
High
Boost
Note: High & Boost are not available in all modes
