This is from the "Garry Moore Show" of 19 December 1961. Carol Burnett was a regular on the series, Julie Andrews and Gwen Verdon were this week's guests. Though Verdon's solos on variety shows were sometimes choreographed by Bob Fosse, a group number like this was certainly staged by the series' choreographer Ernie Flatt, who did so much good work on the show every week.
Do you know how many episodes of "The Gary Moore Show " have survived? And are these on kinescopes or videotapes? The one here appears to be a kinescope. And where do these uploads of "The Garry Moore Show" originate? I have never seen any DVDs of the shows for sale commercially on websites such as Amazon dotcom.
Those Fanny shaker straps really existed. They did nothing for toning or weight loss. But people’s backsides looked funnier than hell shaking around like jelly.
holy crap it’s the trio of all time !!!!

gymnastix I have no answer to any of those questions! I am always surprised (and pleased, of course) when anything from that era turns out to survive.
That is a collection of talent.
amazing to see these three together.
Note the last line of the song: "Everybody's doing it for JFK!" This was a nod to President Kennedy's Council on Physical Fitness.
I remember having to do calisthenics to Robert Preston singing “Chicken Fat” as a little kid in school.
@@figmo397 I remember the "ropes of torture" that I could only get part way up. What were they thinking?
Honestly carol is me at the gym or just any physical activity 😅
Just double-checked: the episode originally aired December 19, 1961.

Wonderfully fun and energetic! Must have been on the Garry Moore Show, probably around Christmas of 1961, I'd guess.
Corny but cute. Great choreography!
Completely different world on a different planet. We grew up. And that is bad.
Don't start with MAGA. It's a demented cult.
Carol. Burnett, Julie Andrews , Gwen, Jack leLaine
Ah, that explains what’s happened to America..it got fat and flabby etc..and the whole bloody thing fell through 😂😂😂 time to hit the gym.
WHAT is that weird machine where Carol is on at the end?
