You'd use the EPA to limit the max servo travel to prevent straining the servo or linkages. The Dual Rate function allows you to have two different levels set for the steering channel. Useful if you have a faster car that at higher speeds is far too sensitive on 100% rates. Flick the switch to select a less responsive level. Expo can also be used to a similar effect as it softens the control response around the centre of the throttle or sterering. Whilst I don't use the Fail safe on the TX it's important to set it on the RX. A friend left his rigs lipo connected whilst he went back to collect something from his car. Once he was out of range the rig shot off over a bank and into a dry stream bed!
I just pick this radio up. And you explained a lot of function’s very informative and helpful. Thank you for taking the time to helping making the set up understandable.
OK from my understanding sub-trim just moves the centerpoint, But the throw of the servo stays the same each side. Trim on the other hand, trim moves the center point left or right, and moves it closer to that endpoint. So if you trim to the right your steering to the right will suffer.
the gt5 is awesome because of the 4ws. but the best use of gt5 is the servo knobs. so you can independently steer the rear while steering the front at the same time. not a lot of transmitters have knobs so easily accessible
Servo knobs? are talking about the 5-6th channels? also have either of you just turned off the crawler mode and just flipped through the modes using the 3 rd channel?
@@shaynejenkins446 Cool!!!!but is it also possible to just turn off the crawl mode and flip through the other modes using the 3rd channel? Or possibly the 4th? Either way thanks for the help from a newbie 🤟👍
@@sebastianj5848 No it wont work that way that I know of. You really want to turn the rear independently though. Sometimes it just needs a tiny turn then back to straight to make a line or get unbound. I use my rear steer like dig. Not a whole lot, only when necessary.
The off setting for the steering when the rear wheels cranked to one side is actually locked mode, steer the direction you want and hit it, should lock the rear wheels in the direction you hold them.
How did you get it to change steer functions with the channel 3 button? I hit the button on the side and it just goes to one side and doesn't let me steer. I have to go thru the menu.
Thats right, channel 3 supplies a lower link to tve rear servo in order for the radio to talk to the servo, but, the channel 3 "button" is basicaly an on/off switch for that channel. You'll notice that when using ths dial in rhe screen and cycle through when you get to the "off" position the steering just slams to one side as you describe, its because ut cut the signal to the servo. It is a little frustrating i will admit, why that channel "button" canr be used to cycle through the different steering modes i dont know. When i use the all wheel steering i just leave the screen in the options mode and change it as i go. Alternatively something you might like to try is plug your servo plug into , ,, , i think it was channel 5, , , which should be one of the twisty knobs on the top of the radio next to the screen. I found that once i had selected a steering mode, i could now control the rear wheel steering with the twisty knob independantly from the front wheels!!! But the rear steering stays where you set it to, it wont self center. This mode is good whith a bit of practice driving one handed with your thumb to steer, and then controlling tbe rear wheels with your other hand!! Have a play with it and let me know how you get on! Thanks for watching my videos, hope to post some more RC videos soon
Hi, please help me out!!! So you put the rear servo wire in channel 3? And the front servo in channel 1?? And after the controller works with the crawler option?
Yes rear servo connected to channel 3 and front servo in channel 1, , and your ESC in channel 2. With the crawl modes now you should be able to access the different steering modes. Is it working for you?
I have the same radio but I can get the other channels to work when I plug in lights or fan they stay on they won't go off no matter what channel it is can you help me with it I have 5 cars program to it and it's same on all cars
Interresting, i'll be honest i havent tryed running independant lights off the other channels yet but thought about it the other dsy. I will do some experimenting on that soon for you and see what the answer is

Ooh, well lucky it was a dry stream bed and not a wet one!!!
Thanks. very hopeful.
I just pick this radio up. And you explained a lot of function’s very informative and helpful. Thank you for taking the time to helping making the set up understandable.
Thats great! Thankyou for your comment👍
Thanks for the review & explanations of the GT5, really helpful 👍
Excellent, glad its helped a bit
With trim function you can center the servo horn, so it’s 90.
aws you can assign to a button so it’s faster and easier to switch between modes.
I just got this radio too, so youre saying I can assign my aws modes to channel 3 or 4 to easily flip through the modes?
Your right EPA, End Point Adjustments, very eductional, thank you for sharing 👍

Yes your right, ive been doing that lately and suggesting that to people who have asked aswell, tbanks for watching my vid!👍

@Sebastian JAROMI Yes so you can thumb steer the front and steer the rear with 5 or 6

Thank you so much for the video 😊❤
Glad its been usefull for you and others to watch👍
Thanks so much for this vid! Now I can reverse my steering back to "normal"!
NO WORRIES, I'M GLAD IT HELPED YOU OUT
The axe articulation looks really good even though its seems a light looking car.
Yes its not bad, shock.oil is a bit stiff, but ive weighted the wheels now so should be a bit better again

Ah no way!! Thats a great function, thankyou for passing that info on👍
If you turn crawl off the channel 3 button on the remote with switch it back and forth
Nice tips bro👍👍🥳
Thanks mate, if it helps anyone out then thats great, thanks for watching

How do you set the rear to not max out the servo

At time stamp 13:20 is a section on the crawl modes

what channel did you plug steering servo? When I turn my wheel on the controller the truck wheels turns
?!?
Hiya, channel 1 is for front steering
Ch 2 is for throttle
And ch3 is for your rear steer, hope that helps you out
@@sub9sec yes, thank u very much.
Can the transmitter be used with other brand receivers?
Hi Simon, good question, i have no idea! Maybe i'll give it a try and see if it will link up to something else
I'm keeping my Dynamite the crawler ESC. Because I heard that they're doing away with it and other Dynamite products
Ah interresting

You have to have a on of box to run the other channels to turn them on and off
What are you saying what box
Crawler mode Servo connection?
Rear steer servo?
Ive got that plugged into channel 3 if i remember rightly
@@sub9sec thank you...
Any one know how to reverse the steering on this thing
4:14 in this actual video shows how to reverse the steering👍
