Gotta say I was in berlin when ben did his first live set at berhaim, it's very rare in berlin for people to be genuinley taken back by a set because it's their pop music, they all techno like peo0ple in the states know taylor swift. I lived in berlin for 5 years and went there ever weekend because i my friends were residents and i knew the owner. His set was and still is one of the most memorable and i don'[t say that lightly, i have been in the techno scene for 30+ years know and am friends with most artists/dj's. Now would i call him the best, no, he sometimes plays soulless mindless hard techno which brings him down a notch.. It's not techno if there is no soul in it. If you don't what that means, then you're part of the reason why a lot of techno today has no hear aka soul. The fact that you can't hear the difference is sad. The secret to ben is that he is following the rules of what techno should be, he is not doing anything new, he is just using different tracks. He is adhering to the rules set forth by the techno godfathers and the number one rule that everyone breaks is that without soul it is not techno.

I feel like Klock doesn't have a particular ’style' that I can pin down??? maybe that's intentional because he was a Berghain resident for so many years and probably played some pretty long marathon sets which required different sounds depending on how hype the dance floor was.

Ben Klock looks like a character out of the Wolfenstein franchise, he's the most quintessentially Tutonic human being I've ever seen.
