Thanks for the funny comment and for watching! I didn't realize I said that. I made this video shortly after moving to Japan about 8 years ago. Fun to look back. Since then I've gone on to create Jazz Drum School with 12 Jazz Drumming Courses and counting. If you'd like to dive deeper into brushes I hope you'll also check out my Brushes Mastery Course: jazzdrumschool.com/course/brushes-mastery-course Keep swinging my friend 🤙
Thanks for the kind comment and for watching! I'm glad you found it helpful. An old record sleeve is great! The thing about brushes is you can use so many surfaces to have fun. I used to sit in at gigs in Hawaii with brushes and a pineapple box! If you haven't already, you might also check out my Brushes Mastery Course: jazzdrumschool.com/course/brushes-mastery-course I teach you everything I do with brushes in Jazz and many styles of playing. I know you'll love it. Keep swinging my friend 🤙
My pleasure, thanks for watching! You might also enjoy my Brushes Mastery Course. I teach everything I do with brushes. jazzbrushes.com/ Have a good one!
Thank you for the question and for watching! I have some of my patterns written out but this one, I only teach by showing and having my students copy. I've tried many ways of writing brushes in musical notation and drawing arrows on drum heads. For all of my students it's actually been much simpler when they see how I do it and then copy me. In my Brushes Mastery Course, I use a great camera angle so you can easily see exactly how to play all of my brushes patterns: jazzdrumschool.com/course/brushes-mastery-course I hope you'll check out the course. I know you'll love it. Keep swinging my friend 🤙
