Wow, i can totally see Infinite turning out like this if he was done properly. I just love how chaotic the whole fight is. Fitting for a villain that can mess with reality itself.
Infinite would be a loved villain, same as Shadow in SA2
I actually got a cool idea for an Infinite story: what if he killed all Sonic’s friends, thinking it would break his spirit, when it only made him stronger. After Infinite was defeated, it would be revealed that the death of Sonic’s friends was merely an illusion :)
@@tendofan I had this idea too. Sonic would be in infinites shoes. His friends gone and Sonic is initially too weak to stop him. Of course, Sonic, being in his character, wouldn't give up. I also had this idea where infinite had the real phantom Ruby and Sonic needed the chaos emeralds to stop him.

@@cbfranco3307 There’s a lot I can touch on with this, but it’s not about his friends directly lending him strength. It’s about breaking Sonic’s spirit, as I said. Infinite himself never outright said anything, but even in the event that he did find friendship pointless, that’s a personal matter. He could still very easily recognize the value of friendship to another, or more specifically, see it as a weak point. At any rate, regardless of this idea possibly having its flaws, it’s only supposed to be a hypothetical. If I have to rewrite Infinite’s character a little for that, I’m more than okay with it XD
You are a very good animator. It's look like you are alone since I didn't find a twitter or a discord on your channel (I can be wrong). You should try to join some community or even create your own discord server. Sharing with other spriter and animator is a good way to improve the work of everyone.

This is what they should have done to Infinite and Null Space in Forces. Have him be the "main" villain/antagonist and have Null Space be the final level where you face him. And they could have expanded more into his illusion abilities like you did in your animation. I love it so much and amazing work.

Nice animation, really added more dynamic to Infinite as a character, since he's so underdeveloped and under utilized in Forces in both power and personality glad you added a much needed revamp to his fighting style and character.

Amazing, this animation is pure gold. Ik Forces was a game and not an animation but damn, there are so many cool concepts in this fight that they didn t fully explore in the game, that it makes me even more dissapointed that they wasted so much of infinite s potential.

This is wrong in many aspects, such as the sprites were not completely custom made, but ripped from other games which can sometimes make spritework not fit with other spritework, ruining it's looks and, the animation isn't exactly fluid. Not sure if you consider this one, but it's also in 2D. So fortunately, this is untrue.
to be fair, this small animation with a WAY smaller budget that a multi million dollar company's game. But the animator still managed to make a video with a ton more imagination and creativity, and uses Infinite's abilities to its full pontential
What does money have to do with imagination? A budget means nothing if you know what you're doing. This is basically the same thing Infinite did within the actual game. They used his full potential, the ability to have astronomical bodies (i.e. stars, planets, moons) crash into his enemies and leave unscathed this is just an expansion on his manipulation to transform into or create other people.
Sonic and Shadow's Junction There are a lot of animators that work on making scenes look absolutely perfected, but without money, there is just no reason for them to waste their time. If they get paid less, they work less, making a worse result in the end. If you get animators that work for free, I doubt you can get one that will make impressive animation. This is the case of a dedicated, skilled animator, who unfortunately decides to keep this as a hobby and not a kind of job he could make money out of. BUT! even if that was the case, the sprites weren't exactly his own sprites. To be an animator, you need to learn how to draw, as to make suitable sprites for your scene to, you know, not make it look shacky, wacky or whatever.
Now THAT was a good boss battle! Holy crap, if Forces had half of that fight in 3D, it would have been so much better! Fantastic job, man! I hope you do more stuff like this! ^v^
Also, I can't believe Infinite in Forces didn't use his illusion clones like you showed here. Making a Tails clone and using that as a distraction to open Sonic up for a sneak attack? Obvious use for illusion powers, yet never utilized. That's just another one for the Forces disappointment pile. :\ Still, this was a really cool animation, man! :D

When you make a series that caught on and goes on for long, keep this in mind :
When you reach a point where fans do things better than you on a regular basis, you *know* that there's something *really wrong* about how you're handling your series.
This very video is an example of this. And so is Sonic Mania. Sega *really* needs to get it together!
This just makes me even more disappointed in Sonic Team and Forces. So much misopportunity with Infinite. This is what I wish he did in Forces.

I theorize that Infinite was made a letdown on purpose so Sega could make him a one and done villain. What better way to limit return requests than to make him fail to live up to the hype.

Amazing! If only it was like that in-game. One tiny detail, though is that the Double Boost was needed to exit Null Space in the game.
I don't think it was really needed, that exit wasn't really moving, I think Sonic was just unpatient.

Sonic can run faster than the speed of Sound. What was shown in Forces doesn't even come close, even with Double Boost. Unleashed Sonic can easily outrun a double boosting Forces Sonic lmao

Its not the fans fault that they screwed up classic Sonics controls. Just like lots of things in forces, classic sonic could've been cool but they didn't execute his gameplayor or his place in the story correctly.

Very cool. Although I wish the non-combat animations flowed more smoothly into each other, like how 3:50-4:10 has him pausing constantly rather than it being one continuous movement.

Yeah, I really wished Forces was more of a serious game that makes you punish for your stupidness. I really wished we could get more backstory for Eggman and Infinite by letting us decide where we want to join with the avatar. Even Infinite being Tails from Sonic 2 Game Gear universe could work much better as a story than what we got or atleast make him give some respect for his enemies, maybe make him an anti-hero later in the story who works for noone, but has his own ideals. I just wish I could write Infinite's or Forces' story, even I could show Sega how much potential you can get out of a new character or a game.

Y’know, its a real shame they didnt do something like this with infinite. I actuallly really like infinite as a character, and i really like sonic forces, but i feel like they missed out on a lot of opportunities. Infinite had so much more potential than they used in the game and it was never shown.

I think they made the final Infinite boss underwhelming because if it was too insane, it would make the final boss seem like it should've come before. Just an assumption. Hope it wasn't just because they were too dumb to think of this.

An epic fight. I love how you utilized both Eggman's base and Null Space to their full potential, and how you used Sonic's friends and foes to fight against Sonic. Also, the nut-kick is probably the best finishing move ever.

Nice, the sprites were smooth and were there some custom sprites in it? BTW you should try and team up with other sprite animators because I know a lot and it's be cool if you teamed up with some really good ones. (Like Patafoin, he's a great animator)

a enemy you could only avoid and/or run away from
and that could only be defeated in null space by super classic sonic, super modern sonic
and super avatar (which would just be the avatar protected by a shield,

Something I've noticed in your animations is that the sprite animations like Sonic running are kept at 100 milliseconds per frame, the default setting, this makes Sonic feel slower than he's actually going, so just um, speed up the animations for them.
What the infinite fight should've been like in sonic forces. Great job man.👍
