Super Note Nomad: Quick Update #1

- This video is just a few things I've noticed while testing the Super Note Nomad. So far I feel that it is an awesome little device with loads of personality. In short, It's got lots of paper-less note-taking improvements thought up by the developers over at Ratta, and, apparently, the community at large as well. That collaboration, and Ratta's focus on note-taking (and their flair for refined, classic-looking products), make this a compelling package. Enjoy!

You can add quick access for documents. Same as notes. You just select current page….

Thank you for your videos! I'm getting mine FINALLY delivered today after ordering over two months ago. I like the way you go through the videos. Glad to see some diversity in the supernote review besides the usual Voija and the british guy
Thanks man, appreciated! You are going to be so psyched when you start writing with that ceramic nib. Definitely my favorite nib. Speaking of which, I have a Nib comparison coming up in another week. Stay tuned for that one to see how other nibs stack up against the Super Note. Ttys.

I have 2 notes and a folder on my quick access - boom - 99% of what I need quickly right there. Other things come and go as I am using them. With that plus the recent files, I almost never have to open the files app to find a file…
I also have my gestures set up opposite of yours - 2 fingers on the swipe bar is erase lasso and 2 fingers on the screen is the select lasso - and I think you’ll find if you run the latest update it is quite reliable.
That would be a game changer if it works better that way, and after the update. I feel bad that I blasted (well, not blast but maybe a light Rant) it in my video thats coming out today. So If/When you see it, go easy on me, It was made before I saw this comment 😂. ✌🏾
@@rantsabouttechnology I actually just switched up my gestures - I turned OFF the lasso/erase and made the swipe bar lasso/select - something I hadn’t realized is that the update added a trash/delete to the select lasso, making the erase lasso unnecessary. Now the only gesture I’m using is the swipe bar and doing everything from there…
I'm digging through the update now. gonna do a video on it here soon. Thanks for sharing that. Imo, the lasso tool should have every action you can use, right there at the selection point.
You can add "Quick Access" for Documents too. The process is the same as for notes. I have recently added the A6X2 to my A5X, and I love it. Thank you for sharing.

The recent files is such a simple useful thing, wish reMarkable would add it too
Hello, If you swipe down from the top of the device, you can access favorites and recent files on the reMarkable 2. Hope this helps and thx for stopping by.
@rantsabouttechnology I know about favorites but recent is not a thing I don't think. You can go back to my files and see folders but I'm talking about while in a note a gesture to switch back to another one for example
@@VladimirKostek It should work, use the two finger swipe down, from the top of the device. I just looked it up again. Give it a try, and lemme know how it works out for ya.

It would be great to see a comparison between Boox tab mini C vs Supernote. Or pros and cons. Are you keeping both devices?
Hello, and that's not a bad idea. I was actually thinking about doing a video about the space that the Supernote, Boox, and reMarkable devices occupy is so different. The SN and Boox comparison could be a lead up to that (all about the story driven content :)
Thanks. Look out for that in the near future. Oh and yea I bought the Tab Mini C and the Supernote. Only cause I missed the return date on the Tab, but it turned out okay. It's a good little device.
Where did you buy the non clip pads that are on your supernote now and do they interfere with the magnets in the folio?
Hello, the "sliders" I have on the super note were bought from Walmart. They're just some generic clear, shallow, sliders. They are shallow enough that it doesnt interfere with the fit of the folio case.
There aren't any on the market specifically for devices. I'm currently in the process of developing some specifically for devices like this. Gonna make a post when I have something to show, and get feedback on. stay tuned ☺

Hello, and the double tap is only for the reMarkable 2. The different manufacturers do it differently, but reMarkable handles it the best. The Super Note way is to hold two fingers either on the screen or on the sidebar (it's customizable). Hope this helps.
I had the supernote nomad, it was too slow, swapped it for a ipad mini 6.
The iPad is so different from the Nomad, I can see it not living up to that expectation. It's a good lil Note-taker though.They need to release a new Mini. I'd buy one then too.
@@rantsabouttechnology Im not expecting the Nomad to be the iPad, navigating through the UI is too slow, e-ink technology is too slow. I got more pleasure using the Nomad, but the iPad is just more practical and convenient.
