im a programmer, and i was working as software developer in UK, that time my team get the project to develop algo software for FII that time i was introduce first time of stock market. after developing software i was very fond of share market, that time i was start study of share market after studding technical analysis i work for FII as an operator, as an operator i always trade on price action basis, i never use any indicator, pure naked chart only price and volume basis trading. but i trade with the greater information. algo work differently. i can't revel the secrete but only price action beat the algo.

This interview was a real learning from a man of high introspective view, clarity of thought with such humility. Would be great if we have another phase of interview, going deeper into Algo & Quant.. Kudos!
Dada gyan aacha dete hai. Paise nahi kama sakte in sab system se. In trading major component is psychology. It is you who gives profit or loss outcome not market, no system, no software, no algo. There is no holy grail. YOU are holy grail. Do not spend so much on learning new techniques or buying system instead work on your self.
You are partially correct. One need to build a system that covers all the aspects starting from Clear Set of Rules, Entry-Exit, Money Management, Risk Management. Then manually back test it atleast for 3 months(if an intraday strategy). Then go for Automatic back-testing by learning the art or by hiring an expert. If you found sensible postive result after excluding all charges and taxes, then only go for building it. After building the Algo then paper trade it for atleast 3 months. Then only go for live. It will work definitely.
