    Truth be told. I bought the launch edition about 3 years ago. I got it for msrp. So i called last week and my dealer got back to me. They said 100k over. I have it in text.I was waiting to get last. After having 4 raptors in the past i got my hands on a Raptor R . It will hold its value better. Also it handles better in all ways to me.

      Wow man. 100k markup is insane.
      Your not the first guy that has said that about the TRX. I’ve heard from a few that they were disappointed with how the TRX handled offroad. They waited for the aftermarket to catch up, and it has not happened yet. So they got out and either went back to a gen2 or went for the Gen3.

    The MSRP for my 2022 TRX is 97k fully loaded except for the Sun Roof. I paid 81k searching for a dealership offering 10% off the MSRP at the time I ordered and price protected against the rise in MSRP from 92k to the 97k. I am very happy that I got lucky to pay what I did for mine. I cant believe manufacturers, dealerships as well as customers paying these absurd prices.

      You definitely got lucky man. With the $6k bump in 2023 and now a 13k bump for a final edition, the price of a TRX went sky high. And that don’t account for dealer markups.

    I got my low mileage 21 TRX for 72K and also got rid of my problematic Gen 2 Raptor in the process. As for me, I couldn’t care less about off-roading my TRX but to each his own. I still love your off-road videos and vlogs though. Keep up the great content.

      Thanks man. You should try and offroad it though. It would surprise you what that truck can do. And it’s a ton of fun. But I get it too. Not everyone wants to risk their truck. Sometimes you just want to enjoy it and keep it pristine. I have that same mindset with my e39 M5.

      Ok, I looked it up and their race kit is impressive. 17 in of travel up front and both shocks are inboard of the arms so it’s a lot like the HM race kits. Will definitely add some capability and track much better.
      But their “long travel kit” is a total joke. The stock TRX has better travel number stock and comes with a factory warranty. And it’s almost the same cost as the race kit. Yeah it’s cheaper overall than a TRX, but not worth it IMO. Just get the race kit and go wild

    Hellcats overall are selling over msrp doesn't matter on the platform its in. When it comes out with a hybrid twin turbo I6, no one will want them, so might aswell pad the market when you can.
    But stellantus raised the prices across the board when they aquired FCA, it completely ruined rams market share in the segment, Let alone just the TRX

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  Рік тому +1

      Yeah I read a lot about the sales slump they saw at the beginning of 2023 when all other manufacturers were getting back to normal. But Stellantis brought a lot of instability to the future of RaM and with the current platform already aging, you had a lot of buyers looking elsewhere. For me the Ram trucks were not even on my radar till the TRX because of last experience with RAM.
      And I agree in the I6, drag car based on it came out last week and it was a huge disappointment on the track.

      🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ your still at stock travel though.
      We talked about this in the video. For the price you pay ($19k) it’s not worth it because your only bringing the truck up to Gen3 raptor capability. Just shy actually.
      Upgraded arms that maintain stock travel does not improve performance. Shocks size going up can with the right tune. But again your at the stock suspension travel. And the Gen3 raptor has more suspension travel from the factory. A ecoboost Gen3 will still perform better offroad than an upgraded TRX with the Kibbitech kit.

I traded that in for the TRX, a lot of people don’t Realize, the TRX is similar to the Raptor in the off road segment, few people give it credit that it also has a racing side to it also, with performance pages and the timer, the flat bottom steering wheel, it’s like having a truck for both jobs, and because Ram was able to produce the amount of vehicles even through Covid, the price is not a ridiculous insult, like the way Ford treats its customers, I just feel like I should let folks know, Ford maybe not the leader they claim to be.

      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  Рік тому

      Once again I agree with you with the way ford treats their customers. I know first hand and been threatened by them for being too honest on this channel.
      That all being said, the only thing people talk about with the TRX is 1/4 mile times. Very few TRXs see the trails. Specially when compared with raptors. As an off-road truck it only has potential and it’s just on Par with the gen2 Raptor. But offroad the Gen3 is far superior by a lot. Yeah it’s an ugly truck with even more plastic. But the suspension and balance on the Gen3 outperforms the TRX and that’s a fact.
      Now, I know quite a few guys here on the west coast that beat up their trucks on the regular that got a TRX and after driving it a while on SoCal trails, they went back to a Raptor. Main complaints were lack of aftermarket offroad support AND the truck is not as stable or confidence enduring on the trails.
      I would love to run a TRX and had one on order. But stock she needs a lot of help to handle SoCal and Baja trails. And without decent aftermarket support and suspension upgrade options, it’s a platform that will always get left behind by the Raptor. I’m hoping the announcement of the TT-I6 will help get more shops into making parts for it to improve its offroad performance . But right now, it’s just guys that want to go fast.
