Great video! Very clear, and you make it look easy! You have a good system for putting it back together. And thanks for pointing out the difference in the screw lengths. I've now learned everything I did wrong when I reassembled my robot! I found that it comes apart much easier than it goes back together, but this video shows how it's done!
Hey, great video and sure will come in handy. I have a dolphin diagnostic 2001 as in this video i have an issue where the robot runs for about 30 min and shuts down or stops moving? and ideas as to trouble shooting?
Great video. I have a Deluxe 4 which does not have screws on the inside as shown here. Rather, I had to remove screws accessible from the sides, pull off the round top cover (to release the cable) and the top of the unit itself before I could remove a side panel. (I needed to replace the Hexagon Adaptor for D Type Shaft: somehow the arms of the shaft connector got splayed open so that the shaft no longer engaged with the adaptor).
Very nicely demonstrated! I have the Triton plus that has something loose inside and obstructs reverse. Do you have anything for opening this one? Or suggestions.
Nick, how and where can I get a hold of the timing TRACKS and not the timing BELT as I have the exact same model as shown in your video. I was sent the timing belt and I can't get them on - extremely tight?
Hello, commented on the other turbo t video, ironically i have both of these models. Turbo T and this particular dolphin. The turbo t powers from the power source but no action. The dolphin turns on, runs for about a minute then nothing. Im not wanting to buy another unit because they are costly as we all know. Can you help??
One side track is not driving. Both usually can drive independently. Is this probably something jamming the drive pulley on stick side? I can move both tracks slowly by hand and both feel about the same. This problem started after one day I saw the problem side track had jumped of the roller wheel after cleaning.
I have this model, i put it in the pool. There is power to the power supply unit , but the unit itself doesn't move. Any advise on what it can be?..Bad motor? would a dirty filter cause this?
Hey Nick, I have a 7 year old Dolphin DX5, and have luckily been able to change out the "4' 3 Wire Cable w/Swivel & Metal Spring" "climbing rings" "guide wheels" and brushes" "bearings"..but now my motor has finally died..the impeller shaft feels like the bearings have worn out..do you have a video of replacing the motor..no one seems to..It looks like it would'nt be to much trouble..but your the expert, I'd rather learn from you..Thanks
I have a black and white power cord . Black wire is loose . Does it go in 3, 4 ,or 1 power supply connector? Niro7545@gmail.com Thanks it's a dolphin Diagnostics by maytronics
My 2 year old Dolphin has been working perfectly until today when having placed it in the pool as before, it would not go to the bottom - i.e it wanted to float on the top of the surface. The motor appeared to be working churning water out at the top. Can you explain and advise me what to do Thank you
great video, I have diagnostic dolphin running nice for almost 15 years , , lately it doesn't float or scrub the walls as it used to do , I hear a lot of water splashing inside the handle and it's a bit heavy!! Is that normal ? how I can get this water out , thank you so much.
hey, nice video. I have same model of dolphin and it stucks right after i push start button. The engine tries to rotate, but it gets stuck and then just nothing happens. I took it apart and found out that one of the tracks is damaged. Do you think it might work if I replace it or it could have done some damsge to the engine as well? The problem is that I live far from US and the only way to replace it is to order it from ebay...
This is Nick from the video on my personal account. The Dolphin is pretty smart in that it won't try to clean the pool if it senses an overload in the drive system (due to a broken belt or an object jammed in somewhere). Though the only way to be sure is to change the part and see if it works or to bring the unit to a service center that can scan the motor to see if there are any other error codes being thrown.
my fuse blew on my power supply on my deluxe 4. i ordered a new one and as soon as i plugged in the power supply it blew again. I have been searching and someone suggested the bridge rectifier. any ideas? i did not have the robot cable plugged into the power supply when i tried it. does it need to be? also.....the serial number is very worn on the bottom but i think it is a 005473 or 005413.....thanks. i live outside of houston texas if there is a place where i can get parts or repairs done. i would rather do it myself though
Could be internal to the power supply or more commonly for blown fuses it's a short somewhere in the cable, usually at the plug or where the cable goes into the body of the unit itself. Only way to know if it's the power supply or not is to see if it blows a fuse without the robot plugged in. You should be able to find a list of Dolphin dealers and authorized service centers through maytronics.com
I have a problem with the power press button. Sometimes it works when I press and sometimes not. If this is something that can be fixed, where can I take this. I live in Southern California

Do you have a part number for the pulley replacements and door preferred website to purchase?
Good Video, I have the exact unit and noticed the suction power is not what it was...How can I improve that?
Great video... very clear instruction!

How do you get the cable off? I can't remove the side panel the cable goes through because I can't get the cable off.

Hold it upside down under the water and rock it back and forth to get all the air out.

Depends on the model of the unit and the power supply. I'd recommend going to Maytronics' website and finding the closest service center to you.
Can you repair mine if I ship it to you.
Great video thank you. My dolphin commander does 3 directional changes after starting, then on the long 4th direction, just quits. Any idea?
I got into the motor compartment and the desinex packet was soaked and ruptured.
Joseph, I have a similar issue with mine. Did you replace teh silica bag ? Did that solve your problem ? Thank you
Someone remembered Dynamic? Wwoohoooo
I need help my dolphin runs a little then stops and doesn’t run after that
Jaime, have you figured what the problem is yet ?
Im having the same issue, did you get to fix it? Thanks
Usually it’s the impeller. Clean out the impeller, or if it still won’t spin after cleaning, it’s the motor. My current problem as well
Thomas G thanks for your reply, the impeller turns fine, i think is the transformer cuz it send 24 v for 2 seconds and then it drops to almost zero,
