- I have discovered that my box blade can cut trails a lot quicker then my bucket or grapple. Y’all may have already known this but for those who are new to having a tractor, like me, this may save you some time. Hope y’all enjoy.
There are a lot of us out there who love the sound of a tractor starting up and you robbed us of that.
I apologize for that. Still new to creating videos.
Amen. Thank you brother for your service and words of wisdom. Cancer survivor here trying to cherish every day.
Man I can’t even imagine the battle you have gone through. Takes a strong mindset to get through that.
May God keep his hand of protection on you.
I never thought about using a box blade to clear trails in my hunting area thanks for the video. I too get piece and relaxation just spending time in the woods just me and Jesus. God bless
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed.
Just found your channel and loved your segment. Looking forward to learning more of your background and plans for the property. We have similar aspirations for the land we bought a year ago now. Really cool seeing how you used a box blade for this purpose; have been looking to buy one to maintain our gravel driveway, so this makes it a much more versatile tool. Thank you for showing us your techniques. Take care.
i like your ammo can tool box. i take clear tubing and slide it over the ''U'' clamp so ROPS wont get scuffed
Amen brother!
Thank you, I am going to have to give this a shot.
i am putting a 1/8''' steel skid plate for the poke sticks.(iron mike morgan had a special name for the poke sticks) im using POR15 metal coating on skid plate. project farm tested all the metal coatings. POR15 hands down is the best. $$ buy once cry once$$ great videos
There’s a school in South Carolina teaching you how to have a toothpick while you’re eating sunflower seeds. The college edition is a stick and sunflower seeds.
😂😂😂
Brother, I was all good with the rain until my underwear get wet.....then we cranky for a long time. I have heard that pushing with the box blade can bend the arms....not sure how that really happens but always made me leery. I appreciate the video and it shows just what can be done. Thnx for the video.
Thanks for being that to my attention. Never thought about it bending the he arms. My rule of thumb is to remind myself that this tractor is not a bulldozer but they did design the box blade to be able to push with, so that’s why I test the limits of it.
Thanks you so much for the reply. I love to learn more from others.
It’s because the 3PT is designed to operate in tension while pulling. Compressive forces push against the 3PT and can easily cause bending and damage. Pushing back loose material for leveling is okay, just avoid digging in and cutting while reversing.
Great technique! I may have to try this!
Get a piranha tooth bar. More effective and no crick in the neck.
Awesome, I’ll check it out.
4:25 little things like that is why i bought my ck2610. Wont use it a ton but when i do itll make things way easier.
Yes it has made like so much easier.
Ole country bumpkin LOL
Great video brother. Getting ready to buy my first tractor next week. Hoping to speak to you if possible for one minute to get your take on it. Hope I'm making the best decision possible. I'm 68, recently retired, looking forward to some outdoor work. How can I get in touch? God bless.
Glad you enjoyed. Best way to reach me is through messenger on Facebook (Jay Chase) is my fb name.
I’ve also done a 100 hr review on my channel as well that may help you with questions.

i have the kioti box blade by WOODS i had a NX45hp but it had a bad tranny (like dylan on the BUD LIGHT cans) they gave me a TYM T494 to replace the NX both were nice machines. you have rim guard right??
I was wondering why you were going to use a shovel when the tractor and bucket was right behind you! lol
Lol, yeah I felt like an idiot.
Not an idiot. Just wired to dig a foxhole and used to manual labor.

I think it would be faster using the bucket for small brush like that? Mine does a good job with bigger stuff.
Good point
I was black falcons in 2008, B Btry Bulls. All the way
I was alpha Btry from 2006-2009. Small world. My best friend, John McIntosh was in bravo at that same time.
@@hisblendedcountry3131 I knew McIntosh, he got out right after the deployment. Truly is a small world!
Awesome video and technique with the box blade for clearing brush. Works great as a ballast when putting a load in the front bucket/grapple. I don’t have one, but will be my next implement. In the market for a new compact tractor and narrowed down to Kioti and Kubota. This helps my decision and definitely going with a Kioti. Thank you for your service to this great nation!
@@douglasmohler7740 I agree, the box blade works perfect at a ballast. I normally keep it on the tractor all the time except when I need to use the pto. Thanks for watching buddy and thanks for the kind words. Really does mean a lot.
Is that a 782 crest on you shirts home of the 82 AB .

My boxblade is stock on top and don't want to drop do you know what is the problem? Or what causes this problem?
There is a little black knob below the seat close to the 4x4. It is what adjusts the speed of how fast you want the back to lower or rise. It normally gets accidentally turn when getting on and off the tractor.
Where did you buy the box blade
Y&W tractor supply in Madison, N.C.
It’s a 5ft box blade made by Befco
