In this video Marc compares the Omega 8006 and Omega NC900HDC juicer. The differences between the juicers are shown and each model is demonstrated. The new model 900HDC offers the same functionality but with added pulp control and a larger feed chute of 2" x 1 5/8" compared to 1 1/2" round chute on the 8006. This help reduce preparation time as you can juice larger fruits and vegetables instead of cutting them in smaller and thinner pieces. The stainless steel screen surface on the NC900 is also slightly larger than on the 8006HD.

If you look at the 2 machines as they are juicing the carrots, the NC900(Newer Machine) is Bobbing up and down throughout the body where the Pulp comes out the End, while the 8006 remains very steady ....

Thanks for the video. I have the 8006 for 2 years and love it. Going to try making pasta with it now.

Can you please compare green juice output? Green juice may show the clear winner, instead of carrot juice. Thanks

the older model won this comparison, it looks like a significant more product and the machine didn't move around like the newer model.

I've been juicing for less than a week - at least once a day if not several times a day. I have a BIG problem though - APPLES! Apples turn to mush, don't juice very well, pulp doesn't come out efficiently and I even overheated the juicer without realizing it (the first time I used it!). HELP!!!!!!! Wrong kind of apples? I've been using Gala apples because they are my favorite to munch on. I run it in reverse for a bit, then forward again, sometimes it helps, sometimes it just manages to push the mush up the chute. Please, please, please tell me what I am doing wrong.

It would be interesting to see how much more juice you could get if you run the pulp through the juicer again.

Eerik Sweden Passing the pulp through a second time is messy and will usually leave more pulp in the juice than any extra juice. Also passing something like wheatgrass a second time is hard on the juicer and can crack the screen.

I have had a 8005 for years and it is awesome. I think the 8006 out performed the NC900 in this demo. I didn't like the Verts due to jams and too much pulp!

Great video. Thanks for not putting us through the torture of unpacking the juicer. If you aren't smart enough to know how to do that (as they show in other videos) you shouldn't make this investment.
