You really need to think about the context to understand what “get below me” really means and I’ve never seen a reactor really comment on it. They usually comment on the following line “rather be six feet under than be lonely” because, again, there’s not much nuance to that line and is easy to grasp on first listen.

I think my favorite is “you only drink the water when you think it’s holy.”
I am still in awe of how vessel can write lyrics so specific but so open for interpretation to anyone listening, like "you only drink the water when its holy" could mean in a "when it benefits you" sense and on the flip side if you dive deeper it could mean in a toxic self destructive sense (Aqua Regia = Holy water, an acidic mixture that melts gold) and in another song he sings "I will turn my walls to gold for you" so I take this as a so you can melt them down for me. Also lines with the "sulfur on your breath granite in my chest" since sulfur degrades granite.

II is an absolute demon on the drums. There is no limit to Vessel's mind just like there is no limit to music itself. Music is a representation of freedom and a genuine way to express oneself and how many of us let things go.

I think they have an "enya" thing going on. There music provokes memories and emotions that you had buried and forgot about! Vessels lyrics are so relatable and make you think "yep, I feel you!" and I love it! ❤

Euclid is so deep but a great reaction video would be listening to The Night Dies Not Belong To God (they’re first song on their first album) and Euclid (the last song on this most recent album) all in one video. I promise it’ll be one of your best sleep token reaction videos, and probably the best sleep token reaction video ever

Honestly didn’t care for Granite when it first came out, but like a lot of their songs I didn’t immediately like; it grew on me. There’s something to their music that I can’t quite put my finger on, but I know I dig it. A lot. Aqua Regia is another from the new album that was a surprise favorite. It also stays in the same pocket through the song, but it’s quite different from what they normally sound like in my opinion. If you’re looking for something heavier take a look at Gods. Keep up the great work, love seeing your reactions!

If you love the fact that it sounded like one lane throughout the entire song, then you'll love DYWTYLM. That's by far my favorite on the album. It's by no means to the creative level as Take Me Back To Eden, but I absolutely adore this song.
Agreed! DYWTYLM and Rain from this album are the two tracks I use most to introduce Sleep Token to people before fully diving in! Seriously though they're wonderfully done no matter what song it is!
DYWTYLM I feel like might be too poppy sounding for these too.... I like what the song is talking about but I don't like the sound of it on the album but the love version is a lil better because to me it sounds more of how vessel would have actually wrote it.
Possibly because DYWTYLM is more pop is why I don't like. That is my least favorite track off album but the rest is awesome.

Absolutely agree! Once they finish off Take Me Back To Eden, I would suggest going through the first two albums (Sundowning and This Place Will Become Your Tomb) and in sequence as TMBTE is the third chapter of the trilogy!

This was the song that introduced me to Sleep Token. I’ve never had a song grab ahold of me like this one has before, and since its release it has not gotten old. It’s on every one of my playlists, and changed how I listen to music. I love this song like I’ve never loved a song before.

The entire album is fantastic! Two of their songs on this album that is my favorite is The Apparition and Rain. To me it seems like The Apparition goes in a different direction like Ascensionism does, and Rain is just a bop.

Another good one off of an old album is The Offering, Hell what am I talking about, most of their stuff is amazing, the musicality and artistry is next level. And the lyrics are on another level. Love these guys.

This was the first song i heard from them after watching II's drumeo interview. And honestly it could've been any other song from them and i still would be hooked. But this one is so special with everything going on. It was so fresh for my ears and that is what i love about them. Definitely getting a tat of their logo. Any ideas where to put it?
You guys need to listen to Dark Signs, Atlantic then Granite as a group. The intensity of these songs shakes me to the core. Vessel’s strength and resilience is what I call Soul Speak. He is very human and I adore him for it.

One of my favourites of the album! Such a great mix of styles and Vessel's voice is hypnotic! Sleep Token is quickly becoming one of my favourite bands out right now. There really isn't anything that they can't do!!!

Eric you will love dark signs by sleep token, its off their first album and you would love it!!! Same as their songs "higher" snd "high water" are so beautiful and i can recomend enough you guys gotta go through from their first album sundowning, their 2nd this place will become your tomb, and take me back to eden its just a full blown cohesive story and build. TMBTE hits 2x harder if you heard the first 2 albums :)

The first drum fill is the reason I pre-ordered the album on vinyl. Didn't get my copy on release day, so I bought a solid black vinyl at my local store. I play the shit out of that album, all because that first drum fill got to me
Lore with Sleep Token nerd: Vessel recognizes that this person is addictive, that maybe they aren’t perfect but he can’t get enough. He “is more than just somebody in (their) passenger seat” showing that maybe the relationship is just a NSA thing, but he feels it’s more meaningful, that they mean something to him, and he also should have value (emphasis on the words “But I Am”). He is also starting to reveal that the relationship has some issues, but they are just pushing through and continuing to be lovers despite fights and issues. (not my info)

To back track to some of their earlier work, I feel like you guys would like "Dark Signs" off the Sundowning album. It was one of their first tracks that featured more of the hip hop sound.

I love that metal and hip hop are 2 completely different genres, but at some point in this song it gave you both stank face - at different parts sure, but it was fun all the same

Speaking of the guitar tone, after about 100 listens of this album (and i'm still processing) i realized they HAD to have super low guitar notes/chords and really lean into the bottom end of that 8 string tuned down, because Vessel seems to complete fill up the mid range with vocals, harmonies, pads, chorals and electronica. If you were playing the guitar notes at that same level, it'd totally be lost in the mix.

Not knowing what to do when the beat drops is a pretty standard reaction.
Basically the best thing to do at a Sleep Token gig is to cry while twerking in the mosh pit. You cover pretty much everything you feel through the whole experience.
