Avalon always had me, but I think I'm going to manage to keep away from all pledging this December :D May actually get into the cult of the now wishlist and pick something old-new for the holidays
It was nice to see you talk about a game for "Cult of the Now" that I know you thought this was very... just a game... This is a great deal for a game that has been super super hard to find in the past. I haven't played it yet myself, but my copy should be here any day. People have been raving about it, so excited to form my own opinion shortly.
@@nirszi Yeah, there was a time when you were lucky to even find it and if you did it was 300 or more. I get it's a higher price game, but it has good components and the expansions in the box. You can always not get the Maximum Chrome edition if you want to save some money.
Thanks for the video! Some good games out there, but I was only tempted by vestige. I backed it because I believe in O Neb. Im excited for your coverage on it (hopefully it will validate my decision to back!) And I think subsidize is the word you were looking for!
Thanks for this, as always. That said, I did skip some parts of the video, but I think you forgot Enormity, the new game from Into The Unknown (developers of Aeon Trespass Odyssey).
You forgot to mention Keep The Heroes Out has content for the physical game in their digital campaign! I’m in for the new faction and mats right now (emberlings).
I really want to like Vestige as it's own game. It seems like a stripped down re-skin of Vindication with very little new to set it apart. I'm holding out for a video with gameplay to convince me it's worth backing. As much as I love O-Neb, I'm not one for throwing money at games that don't offer anything meaningfully new. Sure hope you'll get a copy early enough to show us how it plays.
I was excited for the cooperative mode in Vestige, but unfortunately this from Tom (designer) via comments on Gamefound: "The co-op aspect of this is the version that is the least far through development". So, no one interested in coop will be able to back during the campaign unless purely on faith. Will be waiting for retail - at least ON offers everything in retail for their games.
Thank you for the info! Unless Alex and Meg are super excited (and it didn't seem like it), I will also just wait. It's a pity that they went on crowdfunding at this early stage (because I do appreciate the coop mode and the smaller box size).
@@m.schwarz After observing for the past 2 years, I feel like ON is pretty consistent in missing a lot of details when they launch campaigns. From what I can tell, this casual approach is part of their culture and they lean into that. On the upside, everything ends up in retail, so it's relatively safe to just wait on their games. The only flaw in that is missing out on freebies from the campaign, but I think that's not so bad compared to backing something you may not end up liking for lack of details. I think they design their campaigns for die-hard fans of their games, and I try not to be a die-hard fan of anything 😛
Avalon looks really good just hard to decide how many of the add ons to get currently leaning towards metal and mistwalkers and skipping the holofoil and other upgrades
@ nope easy answers are long gone. I feel like there are just so many good games now. When I cull I’m cutting 8/10s and amazing games are only hitting the table 1-2 times a year. It’s a great time to be in the hobby but choices just keep getting harder where to put time and money
Personally I am glad I passed on the chrome edition. ALL the expansions fit into the base box with no inserts. The next expansion won't fit I bet. Base game is a 7 ish. With expansions the games a 10
It’s all what you’re used to. I actually listen to these videos at two times speed. What Alex does well is pronounce his words well thus allowing others to understand his faster speeds.
48:52 Subsidize!
Really liking the available gameplay footage of Lairs. I almost missed it but it's my first backed game in months, now.
Haven't watched one of these for a while but good to see the ceiling looks much further away from your head than it used to 😅
Very excited for Storyfold :)

$180 for Thunder Road V is a great deal?

Reviews are my opinion...but in every other sense I'm here to help, so I'm always down to promote a game I know others want.

Alex mentioned Enormity on Monday

Hopefully Roxley surprises with launching Brass next week. 😂
Will Vestige have a solo version?

Vestige
- we like to know if u gonna get a copy, and if u will play it along Vindication - as a serious player.
Im supposed to, but I can't control for when ..we shall see. Either way you'll get my thoughts somehow
WHERE THE HECK IS ENORMITY??
Just launched yesterday...I'll see if I can find a way to cover it :)
...g. There I finished your sentence.
Lol
Any thoughts on First Monday in October ending on Dec 20?

Yep, I think the $200 all in is a nice bling ..but how many plays will you get out of it to justify it? No easy answers

ill just stick to discords and wait for people to upload 3d scans of the models and will print them
Which game?
Pretty dry thig week, I might back Vestige but it will be a last minute decision.
Evershade, vestige, Avalon, storyfold...I thought there was a lot :)
@@BoardGameCo I should've said.. for my taste :)

$180 for Thunder Road must be the lowest value board game on sale right now. Even if you LOVE this game, which I don't.
Lol you're not wrong..but it is sought after
I love watching your shows but you talk so fast. Only half of what you say is understandable. Take a break from your coffee buddy
I say this out of love for Alex but he's even quicker in a real life conversation lol. It's amazing honestly.
Thanks Alex you're the man
