There have been a lot of players compared to Lomu, none have had the same size/speed/power but Joe is the closest. That said he has a long career and a long way to go to live up to the comparisons
When Lomu burst onto the scene in 1994 Rugby Union was still an amateur sport, hadn't seen a winger of such size and speed before and the defensive capabilities of sides was let's say limited!! For Joe to stand out as he does, even comparing to other wingers of a similar stature (Nadolo, Savea, Radradra) shows just what a talent he is.
incredible athlete but needs more time playing top level rugby, his speed of thought wasn't quite there this autumn. Lot of potential for the future though as long as he gets the game time
A NZ side would use him a lot as 1st receiver at scrums and/or penalties. He would create a lot of space for others to run into. Even if he was used in a decoy role - the opposition would have to heavily mark him just in case.
We are all foreigners in this world, people are quick to see colour instead we should be happy when someone wants to play for us that shows how much our country mean to them and thy want to be part of us. .this is rugby we don't discriminate we represent respect and unity. .That's if you are a real rugby fan. .
This guy is brilliant, yet he isn't even on the same planet as Lomu as a player- that's how good Lomu was. And to think that Lomu's kidney condition meant that he never reached his true potential. Lomu was an utter freak of nature. There will never be another Lomu. You can't compare others to someone who was incomparable.
Just another fijian winger. We've seen all of them ....Nayaravarro, Naholo, Nadolo, Radradra, Rockokoko, Caucaunibuca, Siteveni,...This joker....& that other speed demon that played in that babaas team that shredded the poms.
@beatonthedonis47 2nd? 2 close losses in a calendar are very rare for and Abz squad. So if you dont follow rankings of the IRB then I'd focus on yr England team who will 100% not pass quarter finals next year. Full of ex countrymen. Breed yr own then step up. His should be called the barbarian English.
Ben Wright Yep. Moved to England aged 3. His father, like many Fijians (e.g., Rokoduguni), served in the British Army. He’s English, or at least British, which is good enough for me.
So you just gonna ignore that he is like 17 stone and 6’6 but can run faster and has better steps than players half his size. If he was a prospect from where your from you’d rave about him.
Joe has lived in England since he was 11 months old, his father served in the British army. Also Billy and Mako have been in England since they were very little 4 and 2 I think they were and have grown up here been to school here, their mother is a pastor of a church in England so their lives are here they were not poached from anywhere they came up through the English school ranks and were spotted and nurtured. Manu has lived in England since he was 12. Willi Heinz is the only one who should not be able to play for England as despite having English grandparents he was raised in NZ and lived there his whole life. Sam Underhill you cannot count as foreign as he was born in the USA to English parents. So basically 85% of Englands squad were born in England and NZ in their defense 87% of their team was born in NZ. Australia are one of the worse offenders with over half of their team not born in Australia and that is wrong.
Typical English remark,we'll see how big a star he is at the six nations, the Irish defense won't give him to much space for runs, unlike the Japanese........
No one's saying he's world class or that he is a top player right now. Just that he is a good prospect and has the potential to be a top player. Which to me seems fair enough.
As soon as he sorts out his defensive positioning he's going to be deadly.
He’s already deadly, but sort out the defensive side to his game and he will be world class.
ua-cam.com/video/iBxwuB9yqp0/v-deo.html this is why he is better than Jonah Lomj

Just had a look at nadolo highlights and jesus christ he is a monstet mabe stronger than big joe but i think joe is quicker and a little more athletic

Its the way defenders don't know if he's going to step or smash
He went to my school if that has any relevancy with anything...
Wow awesome
'Relevancy'. Was this school in the 16th century?
Went to mine to mate
Didn't go to mine
he will become a legend
He is the closest ive see to a young lomu and thats not easy for me to say being an irish rugby fan if he is the future of england rugby we in trouble
billy ennis there’s a much better equivalent playing rugby atm and his name is nandolo, ‘big joe’ is very much overrated by the English.
Sam Bingham nandolo is old and not as agile.
Sam Bingham lmao
@@sambingham1196 shut up?
Pretty fokkin impressive! Guy is both faster and stronger than I initially suspected from the Japan game. Guess he was being cautious
Great compilation, exciting to watch and loved the background music, thanks.
A clever coach can take him to another level

Great video thank you
Can you make an updated version of Liam Williams highlights please. 2017-2018
Including saracens, Wales, lions. Tries attack and his defensive side.
Not worth making a 2 second video
mddmx __ Liam's cute 😏
Great attacking player but little in defence, time will tell!
Takes some stopping!
Very Lomu in his style
HA!...dont insult a legend plz
@@stephensheridan6402 only in style... think of it as a tribute band equivalent.
@Squirrel Poweh way to escalate the situation 😂

Cokanasiga is the new lomu
Cokanasiga is Spanish . We españoles are the strongest in the world
Spanish? Where’d u get that from bro😂
huh?
Bro he is born in Fiji but played for England what are you on about🤣
Bring him up against the Abz then we'll see.
yeah hell smash them, because the only person who can match his standards is Julian Savea and he barely plays
He’s only 21. Has a lot to work on but could be great in the future
SuccMyThicc lmfao we ngani laumape rieko ioane and waisake naholo im pretty sure we a couple of guys like him

Half the England team will be from the South Pacific soon.
So? Multicultural country has a multicultural team. Shock! Horror! Eligible is eligible. Good enough is good enough. Get over it.
Pretty sure he is English. He defo went to school in England and has an English accent

Bit like New Zealand
@@myroseaccount I think Scotland have the most foreign born players at the moment. I think at the moment the NZ squad only has one or two.

Another islander that the Poms are claiming...We will call England, NZ next 😀
England is a diverse country 🤷♂️ nothing wrong with that.

J B 😂he’s on about how he was playing for Ireland at the start
Sam Kinnaird-Barr he’s not playing for Ireland. That’s London Irish you idiot
Stockdale > cokasaniga
Fuck off 😂😂
Stockdale is on the same level as George North right now. Both wouldn’t be in the English squad.
he's not as deadly compared to the other Fijians in New Zealand like Naholo and Sevu Reece
Tu'akilaumea Manu lol are you joking? Sevu Reece the domestic abuser is shite. Can’t catch a high ball for shit

I'm pretty sure the guys Welsh.

Let a nigga make a prospect video, damn!
BW1994 no he ain’t. Moved to England from Fiji when he was 3.
Cross Kick talking about the account not Cokanasiga.
