Final comment..... I loved making this journal. It was a new to me design. I would definitely work some things out if I were to make it again. I absolutely appreciate your honest feedback! I asked for it! It is wonderful to hear you go through it. I love that you have the digitals and you know what I was working with. I had to edit myself a lot to keep it thin enough to fit the spines I made. That is why I said-someone remind me to trust myself and not make the spines until I am finished embellishing! I always make chunky journals..... pretty much always! Every piece I have ever made has mistakes. I learn from each project. Watching you flip through reminds me of things I could have done differently, BUT I love how it turned out. I truly loved this one and had so much fun making it. I hope it brings you joy! You are welcome, Kirstin!!!! 😂
@JodiLewisCreations it has already brought me much joy and I am certain it will continue to do so. I truly love it and would buy it as is again in a heartbeat x
The envelope was my great grandmother's yes. She was a character. The envelope was from my great aunt to my great grandmother. The aunt was the one who was definitely something special!! LOL 😂 I did keep some of the front pages for myself. That belly band clip has a piece tucked under it. Now that you have the journal, maybe watch the final flip again to go through it. In case you missed any bits.
Despatch Despatch and Postal Scraps are the kits. The small side would never lay flat for me. I think the curve of the spine-as you point out at the end. I think that is one of the design things I need to work out if I make another. I hope it doesn't annoy you too much!
@JodiLewisCreations I knew it was Postal something and was just too excited and didn't want the video to go on forever. I have been through it 2 more times already looking at bits. I might tweak the front journal bit as it is annoying me a bit, but only if I can think of a solution that suits me and the journal.
@@Kraftingkirstin Let me know what you come up with for a solution! I completely get the annoyance factor. Remember, the hidden spine is glued very well with book binding glue. You shouldn't be able to pull the thread out.
That is the package from the embroidery floss I just put in the canister. Airmail fit perfectly! So I used it to help protect it along its journey to you. The advertisement tissue paper is just that. Not from the newspaper plates. I wondered if the napkins would get to you in time, but you will have them for the future, or you can pass them along if you do not like them. I wish I would have sent you a couple more tags! I didn't realize you could not get them-I would have sent a few more. I was trying to give you a variety of things to play with.
@JodiLewisCreations the wee extras are wonderful. And the napkins might yet make an appearance. I had already used some of my own and would have used them for that, but there is always ephemera 😄
Oh this journal is fantastic 😍😍😍😍😍😍 that k you for sharing the slow roll flip through 😍😍😍💕💕💕💕🥰💕🥰🥰😍🥰💕
@redparrot9489 I am so happy to have it. 😍😍😍
What a great journal!

@@Kraftingkirstin Thank you! I am so glad! 😌
The back envelope is glued down. I know I talked about making it another side tuck, but I decided it had plenty of tuck spots.
@@JodiLewisCreations there are lots and lots of glorious tuck spots!

That is not Tim Holtz tape. You can make your own with tape and alcohol inks.
@JodiLewisCreations oooooo clever you .... I used to have some alcohol inks but didn't really get on with them so passed them on.
@@Kraftingkirstin I am just starting to play with them. The kind of tape matters. It has been interesting. I need to make a little more.
@@JodiLewisCreations it has worked really well, certainly worth doing if you will use it.
