I was waiting for this review for a while now as I made my mind getting this phone. I know this phone lacks a bit in raw power but it makes up in the experience and consistency in performance. An IP 68 rating is just icing on the cake. I will get this one surely now!

For those who cant decide between this and the g85. i got the g84 because: Flat screen. curved glass is more prone to break plus MUCH more costly to repair. G84 has a headphone jack. It still has a SD SoC if that matters to you. And of course.. Viva Magenta is the best color ever in any phone
This is exactly the phone that I wanted. Something with a beautiful screen that can also handle gaming. I am not a camera persono myself so the average camera performance doesn't matter to me. When I first saw this phone just by looking at the specs I guessed it would be 24-25k bu the moment I saw the offer price I knew I had to buy this. Luckily ordered one successfully and I'm excited for it to arrive. Motorola is doing a great job. Happy to see a brand that was once popular make a strong comeback.
Smartphone brands should start realising that not everyone wants a curved display. There is it no way to protect it's display with a tempered glass like you protect other smartphones. You have to use uv glue and then stick the protector. Replacing these is a huge hassle and costs a lot. They should sell another variant of the phone with a flat display.
My guess is its the next evolution, after a while every smartphone will have a curved display and we can do nothing about it just like the removal of headphone jack, and tbh i was also against it but now that i think of using it 4 to 5 years down the line, i think that flat displays will feel dated at that time.

People in India buy phone for show off, premium look and feel, big & bright curved display, stereo speakers and punchy colorful photos. Motorola truly understand Indian mindset which less focuses on raw power & performance. PS: I personally use realme 9 5G speed edition with Snapdragon 778G and thanks to the capable processor, I was able to install GCam 9.1 V3 which gives latest pixel cam quality & interface.
Even if the smartphone comes under 25k still its value for money according to me because you have to understand what other smartphone offers plenty of ads

My friend has Pixel 6a. Recording videos on 4K for 2-3 mins, this device stops working. Taking pictures and video for 30 mins makes this device hot and unusable. Better ignore 6a.
@@AB-yp7nc taking photos is somewhat fine. But if you record 4K videos for more than 4-5 mins on the go, it overheats. With Casual camera there is no issue. But you canot use it non stop. Like if you for vacation and all where we take photos, create moments, then there will be an issue.

I'm concerned about the quality of the glass used for the display... 1. it's not gorilla glass. .2..it's not flat, which means you are not going to get a good tempered glass which will offer protection like one you use for ur flat screen. In conclusion for a normal user the chances of ending up in service centre for screen damage is pretty high🙂
It has neg glass which is equivalent to gg3 and people usually apply tempered glass in their phones and for this specific model you can apply OnePlus 8 or vivo v25 pro's tempered glass

Honestly, I hate motorola for this, I bought Moto G84 just a day before for 20k and then Moto launched this for 21k the next day. Could have added 1000 more and got much better features. Why couldn't they do this before launching g84

I was looking to buy a pixel 6a as my budget is around 20k for my relative and these are my observations:- Moto's qualities over pixel:- Pixel has 60hz display while this has a 144hz display. It's got better charging at 68 watts compared to 18 watts. Edge 40 Neo has a better display against the pixel and is IP68 compared to pixels IP67. Also the people who use dual sim and do not have a e sim will get two slots in the moto as compared to Pixel which gets 1 sim slot and another e sim. Also I heard a lot of heating issues due to tensor chipset in the pixel and mobile network issues, which a pixel user can better explain. Pixels Qualities over Moto:- Whenever an OS update comes you'll be the first one to have it. Better UI and more premium Stock Android as compared to stock Android of Moto. Cameras are way better than the moto. The security upgrades are 2 years more in the pixel as compared to moto as it will last till 2027. Design is a bit subjective but I really do like the pixels unique design as compared to Motos which I feel is a lot similar to some of the phones these days and in the blue colour looks like my (Nord 2). This is what I observed and you may buy accordingly as per your needs.

Hi Ujjal, if you even slightly like capturing good photos then Pixel 6A is the phone it annihilates everything else at 19K, it is basically a flagship phone with some cut down specs like iPhone SE

no inbuilt dialer app for call recording and shitty cameras with the absence of 3.5 mm jack is a deal breaker though at this price point.

Honestly, I hate motorola for this, I bought Moto G84 just a day before for 20k and then Moto launched this for 21k the next day. Could have added 1000 more and got much better features. Why couldn't they do this before launching g84

I was looking to buy a pixel 6a as my budget is around 20k for my relative and these are my observations:-
Moto's qualities over pixel:-
Pixel has 60hz display while this has a 144hz display.
It's got better charging at 68 watts compared to 18 watts.
Edge 40 Neo has a better display against the pixel and is IP68 compared to pixels IP67.
Also the people who use dual sim and do not have a e sim will get two slots in the moto as compared to Pixel which gets 1 sim slot and another e sim.
Also I heard a lot of heating issues due to tensor chipset in the pixel and mobile network issues, which a pixel user can better explain.
Pixels Qualities over Moto:-
Whenever an OS update comes you'll be the first one to have it.
Better UI and more premium Stock Android as compared to stock Android of Moto.
Cameras are way better than the moto.
The security upgrades are 2 years more in the pixel as compared to moto as it will last till 2027.
Design is a bit subjective but I really do like the pixels unique design as compared to Motos which I feel is a lot similar to some of the phones these days and in the blue colour looks like my (Nord 2).
This is what I observed and you may buy accordingly as per your needs.

@@Akshyy13 major display manufacturer Samsung has got a lot stock of curved displays in stock as top phone brands like oneplus, Samsung ,iPhone etc don't prefer curved screen because it will break easily, green lines will come often, accidental touch problems.because of this old school curved display technology this phone's price is only 21k

Used to play COD casually for half an hour to an hour, didn't heat...maybe because of monsoon here... let's see how it performs in summer...

I have one issue and that is moto is launching heck a lot of phones under 20k, and its hard to choose any one of them.
I'm use a moto as a secondary device and experience is not good. No OS updates. It's kinda a boring experience after a point of time. I suggest guys to go for a pixel.

Hi Ujjal, if you even slightly like capturing good photos then Pixel 6A is the phone it annihilates everything else at 19K, it is basically a flagship phone with some cut down specs like iPhone SE

My realme x2 pro is working fine and 3 yrs old. I ordered moto edge 40 neo and will get deliver tomorrow but i am still not sure should I cancel or not because my x2 pro is still good but no updates since last 2 yrs and battery life has been degraded.

@akashsharat mat le bhai. Humbhi X2 pro se Edge 40 pe shift hue hai. Display chorke aur kuch utna khaas nahi hai. X2 pro realme ka aaj tak best phone, na waise phn bana paya hai aur na kabhi bana paega realme.
