Awesome - I like this, I only Discovered Triang TT in 2024 and would be inclined to buy a Vintage Set for the Novelty Factor, tho I wouldn’t be Tempted to buy into any of the New Generation tt120. I enjoy the Variety of OO gauge items to be Rescued and renovated in the Preowned market, which Suits the Limits of my Knowledge and Budget. Thanks for all your content in 24 & HNY🎉
Hornby have already tried TT (then Tri-Ang) and it was a flop. The only thing that TT:120 might have going for it is the houses being built these days have smaller rooms. As for the future of TT:120 it is a case of watch this space. I fear it will turn into another niche Gauge with a limited following as with the original TT.
I bought this set a couple of years ago on eBay, but sadly, it isn't in very good condition at all. I've purchased most of Hornby's new TT120 range, though. It is proving very popular.
This is a T1 set, the box lid is from a T8 set. The 1st set of instructions is for a T95 diesel shutter, and the 2nd set of instructions, is correct, for this T1 set. You should check your information before publishing!

Excellent video mate 👍🏻
I got one of those sets for Christmas in 1962. I swapped it for 00 stuff about 20 years ago when the kids wanted something that worked 🙂

43 frodsham street is no longer a model shop from the cheshire section of that booklet.
Chester model center is an upgrade however
