1+3 or 2+2 has always given me perfect pairs consistently. Helps if the parents were pure (weren't bred into the skills and only had them from the start) with those skills as well.
I got extremely lucky and got a Frostallion with 90+/100/90+ then bred that down to just Legend with the 90+/100/90+ and used IV fruits to max those out. Since combat pals will almost always want Legend, I can use this Frostallion as a starting point for most pals' IVs while going for the passives separately. From there it's just a matter of getting a perfect IV Legend with one that has at least the other 3 passives and breeding those to get better parents and eventually my end result(s).
My only add to this is to name your pals. I use Breeder "pal name" 1A and 1B to indicate a breeding pair, that way if I want to go back and swap to a different set I know who goes with who for what. like for jets I did one set of "Breeder Zoomer..." for speed passives and "Breeder Boomer..." for the attack passives for the bella Raid. the hardest part is making sure you don't condense one of your core breeders and naming them at least makes that harder.
9:30 for all my fellow peoples on the S go to the frost and loot the chest by lyleen noct and the chest by kingpaca cryst you can get blazamut ryu fragments in them so you don’t have to go into a dungeon and crash every 2 seconds
I've spent a TON of time getting my oil and food bases up, and now I'm breeding yakamos to hunt alphas to go after B Ryu, While also farming the rig n trying to get stuff better than green to drop
Great video breaking it down. My first time back since before the Belanoir update so the IV system always confused me. Also nice to see someone on Xbox as well to know what I can actually get by with
Personally I don't worry about it. With either part. I mean, I will trade our pairs that are better and closer to being what I want. However, If I'm breeding them up, I'm probably planning on making them a platoon of 10 to 20 of them anyway, so I'll need a lot to condense them all anyway. I don't worry about the IVs too much because it feels like overkill, and I can fix them if I'm truly motivated to. But that's just me. So far, the platoons I'm working on or planning are: Katress Quivern Blazamut Anubis Frostallion Noct Eliphdrin Warsect Jetragon There will be more before I'm done.
My understanding of breeding is this. There is a 40% chance to inherit each unique passive. This would be 40% for a single pasive, 24% for 2 passives, 14.4% for 3 passives and 8.64% to inherit all 4 passives. Having a 5th unwanted passive directly reduces the chance by 20% reducing it all the way to 6.912%. I remember an old breeding thread said it was 40% for a single, 20% for double and 10% for quadruple passive inherit... honestly kind of lines up with the 40% probability per passive. IV's are a 30% chance per parent, with 2 perfects there's a 60% chance to inherit each IV. So... 60% for 1 IV, 36% for 2 IVs and 14.399% for 3 IVs. Egg moves is a 50% chance to inherit 1 non signature egg move.. of all KNOWN moves *throws pencil* it's not 2 bad if u have two lvl 1 of the same pal with an egg move because that means theres a 50% chance to inherit the move. but if ur cross breeding and the lv1 skill isn't the same that means the 50% chance hits another 50/50 on which move to breed reducing to 25%.. and then further for each move learnt. Then we have alphas.. i actually don't have any values for them, i only know bellanoirs raid egg is 10% chance but... from experience i'd estimate about 5% chance for an alpha. usually see 1 huge egg every 20 eggs at the breeding pen. I all know that's been working for me is priotizing removing unwanted passives above everything else and then breeding IV's. My tip for hunting iv's is running away and running back acrually "respawns" the pals, including legendaries so its very easy to keep resetting it for the 100 IV.
14% for 3 IV? It's 0.6x0.6x0.6 and I found 21.6%. For the alphas from my experience it was 5% too but since the last update I fell it's up to 10%, maybe I got lucky but I breed thousands of eggs and it's consistent.
I got 1500 hours on palworld and most of it is breeding. I would suggest that if you are starting out to find 100 iv and dont have any you can breed from... then keep the number of passives on a "baby" to a minimum. i would start finding a 100/300 on a legend + musclehead and 100/300 serenity and (something else). It is easier to breed 300 iv pal if you progressively pair the pals that have 100 or 200 iv. Where @palworld suggests get all passives first, i suggest trying to breed passives and IVs together. you are not guaranteed 300 iv pals even when you have a pair of breeders are maxed but i think it certainly helps Still this video is solid advice
yeah, breeding for traits and ivs is just a long process that requires patience. For example, I've got 20 frostallion nochts with near perfect ivs, and four traits I like. It took a month to get them to this point, and just over 3000 eggs hatched. It was why my palbox was running out of space prior to the update. I do think you get more positive growth in IVs if you also condense the breeders to 4stars, at least that *seems* to be the trend with my attempts at breeding. However it could be confirmation bias on my end, and its difficult to measure.
I am about to capture all the pals twice with no passive skill at all. So I’m doing 4:0 most of the time when I’m breeding and it’s works. Like every 4th egg has all the passives on him.
Wasn't the 2:2 ratio on traits debunked a few months ago? Pretty sure dataminers determined the chance of getting the desired traits on a baby are the same no matter what combination you use, as long as every trait you want is on at least one parent and neither parent has any traits you _don't_ want. So AB+CD, A+BCD, ABC+BCD and ABCD+ABCD would all have the same chance of producing a baby with ABCD.

The same as pc,(he is on xbox) you need to craft the spec from the ancient tech tree. There are calculators out there you can use to guestimate it as well.
Make a farm to produce a fuck ton of salad and then you sell the salad to buy milk and eggs. The ranch pals just cnt produce at a better rate then what good working planter pals can produce lettuce and tomatoes

I see no reason why that would be the case. i know it takes a lot of eggs to get diff passives to show up. took floflo like 400 to get something she was looking for.
@@FanaticPope sorry to hit you up again. need to talk schematics. cant find this anyway. Does the "quad laser guided launcher" has all tiers of schematic or is it just legendary?
all vids talk about how to get gold ones but difficult to find out more
@@Justp33p Ive gotten blue green and the lowest one. but i just farm the oli rig. i got and gold flame and gold nade for there. I did a video on how to get them a bit faster

@@FanaticPope i have been alt F4 on pc whilst next to the chest... works a treat but only got purples so far
cheers for help

how you got your tower floors without any kind of pillars to sustain it?
Held up by the ramps
@@FanaticPope I'm sorry by the what now
@@kingofawesomeness5375 🤣🤣🤣🤣 i am dyslexic so sometimes that happens. SRY
How do you keep your palbox so clean?? Which pals do you keep?
High ivs. and passives i need. Plus about 10 viewing cages really high above my base
Does Jetragon missile damage benefits from Divine Dragon passive?
Nope. and its not really that great, its really good for stunning the open world bosses tho
well if you must know mr pope, i have been ocupied with seylene which was a pain in the ass cause i wasnt getting any males, now i've been building a few helzephyr lux for the big generators, i prefer a dark pal over a orserk with nocturnal
I was breeding for Blazamut and I finally got one with the perfect passives but the IVs are crap, so now I need to breed it until I get one with perfect IVs, am I correct?
Any iV that is higher, but it in to breed as long as it has JUST the passives you one. at less one of the passives.
I never tested the IVs because I wasn't aware of them initially. Have 600+ hrs playtime with a bunch of pals (base and combat) that have great traits through breeding. Can I still get max IVs on these pals (or their offspring) by breeding/passing down?...I find breeding you can do passively whilst doing other tasks rather than hunting like a maniac for Mimogs/dog coins lol
Yes. Just takes time. and putting the better iVs with the passives back in breeding
@@FanaticPope Cool thanks for the reply
how do you farm the fruits? breeding is hard im mainly doing passives some jetragons but ill switch soon to selyne
Dog Coin, Bella, and Ryu
@@FanaticPope thats still a lot of them o.o you farm ryu and bella easy? and for dog coins you use triple drop and spawn?
@@sicknxlive1874 Yup, I Built a 20 jet and 20 blazamut for bella, all maxed out with good iVs, and 30 j tide with 20 knocklums for Ryu
@@FanaticPope i tried bellanoir libero and was able to do it but like 25 pals die so i gotta wait for next lol
Hi mate how do you get the iv values to show on Xbox ?
The same as pc,(he is on xbox) you need to craft the spec from the ancient tech tree. There are calculators out there you can use to guestimate it as well.
Ability glasses. They're ancient tech.
So, find the passives + the move -> feed them fruits before breed them -> Final Pals
Thx.

How do you have that much cake! Love it 🎉please show your cake base 😢
Agreed, I keep running out!!
Make a farm to produce a fuck ton of salad and then you sell the salad to buy milk and eggs. The ranch pals just cnt produce at a better rate then what good working planter pals can produce lettuce and tomatoes
@@Itachia_GamingNAFeels like a waste due to my two pairs of condensed chickapeas and mozarillas, but this checks out. My salad production is insane. Eggs and milk on the other hand, always pretty limited. Think that will also increase gathering efficiency.
I’ve avoided selling anything so far, but looks like it’s the way to go. Gonna have to hunt down a nocturnal merchant though.
@@skycastrum5803 I'd also recommend breeding a worker shroomer and lullu they're both amazing for base working
Sell Legendary Pal Balls. 999 balls go for 4.5M, with the new passives Fine Furs and Nobel can Get like 6M
I can’t get the xenogard to drop for me every supply drop I get just infuriates me lol
Back side of Volcano, He always drops there for me
@treygreypaws3689 replied to another post:
"... If you want Selyne go to new island, Xenogard go to the high level areas like volcano/ice area and the Xenovader in low level area."
After I saw this, I camped the frozen island and got my first Xeno. I then tested this at the volcano, before moving my oil base over there from the new island.
So IVs breed over at least from my experience breed 2 100s all stats it copies
