Hi I had an iPad 5th gen and it has heating and had app crashes I couldn’t buy a new one cuz those were expensive but when Apple released iPad Air 4th gen I bought it it was not really cheap but I’m loving it but it’s kinda wired that my iPad 5th gen didn’t have any battery issues (: and I have dropped it so many times and it was ok just dents

Hi, I would suggest you go for atleast ipad 9.7 2018 (6th gen) for native apple pencil support. Ipad 5th gen doesn't support any apple pencil. If you can save for a bit while more, please save up few more for ipad 8 or 9, the jump in performance is a lot and software support still available for few years. Ipad 5 support will be dropped soon. Not to mention ipados 16 on ipad 5 feels very sluggish and taxing.

i would suggest you to follow @afif294’s advice. i’m not a student who is using ipad as my main device to study, take notes and so what not. for now, i only use it to watch movies, listen to music, edit videos and pictures and sometimes take some notes and do assignments. it’s working wonderfully but it’s not as convenient as the newest ipad which are obviously will give you more benefits.
I would like to know if the model of the ipad 5th generation is the A1822, when I search online to buy the pencil it tells me that it is not compatible with the 5th generation :(

its still nice, i’m currently using mine for school. just need a good artist glove that’s padded on the pinky side so that you can write comfortably w a universal stylus :))
another thing, buy a matte screen protector, it feels like paperlike screen protector also

aaaa sorry for the late response. i did my assignments for two semesters using ipad. kalau bukak a lot of stuff at once, sometimes ada lagging slightly. i usually akan split screen, sebelah safari utk bukak pdf and etc and sebelah lagi google docs. time nak switch from one to another pdf tu akan lagging sikit if tabs banyak sangat.
so in my pov, i would give 4/5 . the device is still nice to be used for doing assignments.

It doesn't support apple pencil. You can use stylus.
Oh actually when i went to buy a stylus , they said it’s not compatible with iPad 5th gen.
I had seen a lot of types for stylus pencil before. some of them are compatible for old ipad and some aren’t. btw, where are you from?

hello, may i ask if its necessary to have screen protector and so on for ipad since we already have the casing to cover everything? or just to be double safety?
good question. hello. i’m sorry for the late response. it’s very necessary to have a screen protector even though you’ve the casing already. sometimes you may drop your ipad while you’re using it so there’s no casing protector can protect your screen at that moment. sometimes you may scratch the screen with something sharp while using the ipad. if you’re lucky, you can go to the repair shop to replace the screen yet the cost maybe slightly high. if you’re unlucky, the screen might have glitches or can’t be used anymore due to damages.
for me, it’s better to double up the protection as buying a new screen or device is a struggle.

sorry for the late reply. the pen is still working well. it doesn’t have to be connected to the bluetooth actually. just tap on top of it to turn on and off. the camera isn’t that good for doing great tiktok videos. but it has just nice quality to take simple selfies or videos

Hi, sorry for the late reply and i appreciate you for spending time to watch my video. To answer you questions, i’m not so sure which generation for my pencil as i bought it the budget friendly pencil at shopee (online shopping platform). Even though it’s quite cheap to be compared with original apple pencil, the pencil tip is in a good condition, i guess it is plastic as it doesn’t have a slight metal tip at the end. hope this answers your questions.

OHHH MY BAD. I didn’t know there are two options already because the time I bought the pencil, there’s only one option if I’m not mistaken 🥲 that’s why i was totally confused with what she/he commented.
preferably you guys should buy gd03 where it comes with an extra tip so you can change whenever you have to. There’s no any difference between those two options except the extra tip.

@@danny4986 please excuse my late reply. I’ve put a few of links for other recommendations to buy iPad however there’s no shop that sells the same model as mine now. I bought mine was around rm874 (32 GB + WIFI).

Hello! Unfortunately i can’t rest my hand while writing using the pen because the old ipad doesn’t have the palm rejection. My ipad is up to date with the latest ios update and gladly doesn’t have any problem so far. Thank you for watching my video! 💕
Sorry forgot to mention that when i bought the pen, it came with the palm rejection glove. By using the glove, I can also drawing, edit thumbnail, making simple notes and more without much problem. It may not be comfortable compared to ipad that already has the palm rejection but it’s pretty good for me. if you are into making notes and it’s your top priority in buying ipad, then it’s highly recommended to buy one of the newest ipads with palm rejection feature. Hope this helps you

this ipad doesn’t have palm rejection unfortunately. i have to wear a specialised glove that the seller gave along with the pencil when i have to write while my palm is against the screen.

I'm very sorry for the late reply. if you want to use for online class, ngl this iPad is still amazing as it works well and smooth. however, if you want to buy an iPad for taking notes and you've more budget, my suggestion is do buy iPad with palm rejection. i think 9th gen has the palm rejection. not only the chipset is good but also you'll be very comfortable to write notes on it. hopefully my reply answers your question, dear.

I just tap the top of the pencil and automatically i can use it on my ipad. for your case, the pencil maybe is not compatible with your ipad. if you beli kat goojodoq, ada certain pencils tu compatible dengan ipad latest version and so on. that’s just my assumption je lah. hope it helps you.

Hii, at first i bought this ipad without the intention to do notes. all i wanted to do was editing. however, recently i’ve been dying to take notes because it’s quite burdensome to bring papers and pencil box to the class. and it turns out this ipad is still good for taking notes. Buy this ipad and compatible stylus pencil and install any app for taking notes. You will definitely can do as much notes as you want without any problem such as palm rejection. There’s a feature in note apps that allow you to put your palm while taking notes without bothering you to go to the settings or anything even though the ipad 5th doesn’t come with palm rejection feature like the latest ipad nowadays. hope this answer helps you!

hi, sorry for the late reply. as for my pencil, i just tap on the top of the pencil to turn on and off. i can use it on any device and it doesn’t need to be connected with bluetooth. as long as it is turned on, then u just can automatically use it on any device. maybe some stylus pen needs to be connected via bluetooth in order to use.

unfortunately no because the my ipad doesn’t have the palm rejection feature.

Sorry for the late response. I’m not so sure about it but a few months ago i heard that some apple users said it’s unavailable to be installed. The users who managed to install the app before it became unavailable are still able to use the app without any problem.

hii, yes i am. it still works nicely without any problem. even though i didn’t use it like a month because i was too busy with other things, the pencil is still working well.

hiii 👋🏼, alamak. my pencil just tekan the top of it to turn on and off je lepastu terus boleh guna kat ipad. it doesn’t need to be connected to bluetooth or anything. can you check the battery of the pencil or do you remove the tip cover already? if it’s still can’t be used, then you can ask the seller about the problem.

hii, i’m really sorry for the late response. it’s better for you to ask the seller about which pencil is the most suitable for the ipad as i’m afraid if you mistakenly buy the wrong pencil and can’t use it on the ipad. my pencil doesn’t have the palm rejection as i don’t need to.

Hii 👋🏼 first of all, since this is a second hand item, it might be different in term of its conditions as it depends on the owners before. I bought this iPad on January this year, and I’ve been using it for almost 4 months now. From my observation, i can say that I’m totally having a good time with this iPad. There’s no such thing of lagging. It works wonderful even though i open many apps at once. My iPad condition is still good and there’s no damage/ problem. okayyyy je, no lagging tapi takde palm rejection lah so maybe a bit uncomfortable to use stylus pencil to write on it unless you guna keyboard

haah still support stylus pen. from my buying experience at shopee for stylus pen, you just need to be extra cautious for certain stylus pen that might not be working for the device, like certain pen only works for the latest iPad yang ada palm rejection. you boleh tengok description carefully sama ada stylus pen tu boleh digunakan for iPad 5th gen atau tak and you boleh tanya seller if tak sure. bonus info, kalau nak guna wireless or Bluetooth keyboard/ mouse pun boleh. this iPad still supports these kind of things. hope this answers your question.

hi, i always use my ipad to play some songs in the class and do my lesson plans as a teacher trainee. the ipad is really helpful and working well without any problem even though sometimes i don’t use it for a long time, it still works well.
