  • Emilie Pellerin is likely the best climber you’ve never heard of. Knowing this might be true for much of the climbing world, friend and filmmaker, Alexa Fay, set out to make things right.
In her directorial debut film project “Em”, Alexa and Emilie place you at the beginning of the story of how one woman’s natural ability, forever positive problem solver’s mindset, and commitment to the “dirtbag life” has turned her into a yet to be known force in climbing.
From the trip to Spain that pushed her to pursue her passion full time, her onsight climb of Squamish’s iconic and notoriously difficult “The Shadow” (5.13a) pitch in 2018, and through her latest challenge, “La Zébrée”, a 5.14a trad route featuring a soaking wet overhanging crack that has sent even the strongest climbers home packing, this film puts Emilie front and centre.
    Featuring: Emilie Pellerin
    Directed by: Alexa Fay
    Produced by: Sophie Claivaz-Loranger
    DP: Simon Dufour

What a brilliant film, and clearly a brilliant climber in Em. Glad to see Arcteryx supporting her, and this film project 👍 Also, I nearly spat out my cereal when I saw a sling full of Brillo pads 😆 excellent!

BRAVO EM !

She is such a wonderful ambassador for climbing, her spirit of adventure and fun. To me, placing gear onsite like she does is so much more impressive than anything I have seen indoors. She ranks up there with Lynn Hill freeing The Nose

Hey great video! Big big respect for the athlete and the person. Very inspired by her as I always was. But my comment is directed to Arc'teryx direction: can you explain why you didn’t want French dialogues in the movie and asked that some of the interviews that were already been done be removed? Since I’m in the loop and I’m a French canadian, I’m curious. You are a canadian company if I'm right? You might be aware that there has been a cultural and identity clash between French and English in Canada for centuries...perhaps you have a good reason, maybe you can tell us about it?

My Bahasa has gotten pretty bad so sorry if I misunderstood - Iya, nama perempuan itu Em.
