It is good to have these types of record stores, where all products and music dates back 50s can still be reconciled with the present time, and that it is able to sum up the span of time to the present time, with its products, goods and services pricing standards, well adjusted to sales and purchase expense. Congratulations.

Years ago I was in a shop (not in Japan) and they had several test pressings of The Shadows and Ventures Japanese albums, the shop owners didn't speak or read English so they had no idea what they were. They didn't have covers because they were test pressings.. I think 4 or 5 titles. I bought them all. One or two are on red vinyl. I wonder if they would be of interest to collectors?

Rare groove is like mid 70's-mid 80's midtempo soul led by a bass guitar, vocals, and sometimes strings. It's a loosely defined genre and usually on albums with disc, funk, boogie, and Quiet Storm. When separating into subgenres, style and era are usually good markers as very few groups or performers make it past 7 years as there's typically a huge change in style in that span. Other times when you can separate is when it's a virtuoso style or there's just certain instruments (ie Punk and heavy meat could and should be separate from rock. It allows people who are into a unique style to peruse the selection of that style without getting into tons of unrelated stuff. Furthermore, free jazz could be separate from jazz.) Lines do blur and some artists overlap even on the same album. It's always a tough call. One time at Tower records I found Lou Rawls in the following sections: new release, budget, imports, cut-out, R&B, oldies, blues, jazz, vocal, and holiday.

What kind of old videos? Most of my old videos were just concert footage clips or old things I found on tapes.
