Sarapa Darun Hun, Hasrat Bhari Hai Dastan Meri
O Candle! Drip like tears from the eye of the moth
Head to foot pathos I am, full of longing is my story
Elahi ! Phir Maza Kiya Hai Yahan Dunya Mein Rehne Ka

I love his poetry when heard from others but when I read it, I could not understand the meaning of the parsi words and some urdu words. Always had to either ask someone to help or went straight to google search for the meanings.

please do with English commentary for many kids born abroad including my kids who read shakspear and use to tell the afterter reading iqbal when I read shakspear I felt like drank viniger after honey. unfortunately children in these western countries have no idea of iqbal poetry!
Totally agree with you and this is my pain as well . I see our buzrug having so much of wisdom but this generation is not able to harness it only bcuz these book are translated into Urdu long time back and now oy few is putting effort to convert to today language .. we also trying something on this subject let's see if we can achieve something
