A lot of the people there don't know and/or appreciate old school rock. Legends like Slash, Joan Jett, Billy Corgan, or The Misfits(despite Jerry Only being a sellout lol) weren't really well known or received by the crowd because it's a younger generation that is used to the modern rock of today and don't really know much about bands like Duran Duran, Korn, etc, despite some of them still existing to this very day. There's nothing wrong with that though. People of old school rock constantly bash the younger generation for liking these modern rock bands when it's really not their fault. It's 2014, not the 1980s/90s and music evolves and develops. People are entitled to listen to what they want to. Personally, I love modern rock and old school rock equally.
Leora Ojadi i agree with what youre saying. but I hope they know that without those old school bands the modern music today wouldn't exist. I don't really care for these "scene" bands or whatever they are called. they all sound the same and they are too whiney to me. asking Alexandria is pretty much the only one I kinda like.
I hope for the same thing. I think these bands that exist today are keeping things fresh while utilizing their past influences instead of just repeating/copying the past, despite the similarities. I actually think they all sound quite different, but I also hear a bit of each other in their musical content.
Most award shows or big televised events with a band performing In it. The band are typically pre recorded. (Not saying all are this may or may not idk)
yeah i think kellin was also sick, or saving his voice/losing bc he in the middle of the making of a new album. Also he havent preformed live in a long time so.
Sleeping With Sirens performance was the worst one of the night, if kellin is just going to use backtracks when he performs then he just give up. Cause that's the easiest way to show you're a lazy performer and the easiest way to lose respect in the industry.
people are so dumb.. they pay tribute to a song and scene kids, butthurts, and close minded people are like " oh this is painful to watch" Don't watch it then, it's just a tribute
I popped my eardrums with a rusty flathead screwdriver rather than just stopping the video. I don't wanna accidentally hear it again later somewhere else. #hopetheyburnedthestageafterwards
I watched a video with Danny being interviewed about this and he said it was all thrown together at the last second he said him and JD aka Johnathon Davis were reading the lyrics backstage right before performing this haha
That was fucking AWESOME fellas. Fuck all the haters, that was sick. Bottles up to danny and the boys and also Jonathan davis. One of the best covers ive seen
Well, the only thing that is shameful to watch is that Danny W. is acting like a star which he actually isn't, while Jonathan looks like an ordinary guy singing while he is one of the most influential vocalists of metal/alternative/heavy music scene for about 20 years. Almost every 90's kid knows Korn and grew up listening to their music, which was deep and very accurate at that times (about bullying and all this stuff, that being different doesn't mean being worse). That's why I kneel before Korn and still, I like Asking Alexandria and it's my type of music but for me it's Jonathan who's an idol for me.
***** Just because Danny is wearing a suite? It is a fucking award show he probably was to lazy to bring some clothes to change just for the performance.
+AllTimeHustler look how he acts! And I know he always acts like a rock star, which is not bad, but he was with Jonathan Davis! There should have been a little more of respect. I don't know about you, but I grew up listening to Korn and that's why is so sad and disappointing
Diana Corona Listen i know Jonathan is probably a legand but Danny and him are friends, they toured the world together, so maybe he is a freaking rockstar but when your friend becomes a rockstar or famous do you treat them different than before? I don't think so...
Audio recorded from a flip phone inside a popcorn bucket. You can't hear Danny, Jonathan, or Sams bass. You can hear the cymbals cutting through, and a little guitar
Right I am a massive Duran Duran fan! I am also a fan of asking alexandria, I will see them November of this year in concert. Ben was good as was the rest of the band. For a mans who's voice is so strong he sounded weak *danny* It did ruin a perfectly good song. But I'm just gonna listen to the original. John Taylor here I come xx
I find it hilarious that people actually think that Danny is a better front-man than Jonathan Davis. JD has way more power and emotion in his voice, and also brings much more charisma and energy to his performance. His mic was hardly working therefore, Danny's voice seemed to out power his. Listen to JD sing a song like Good God or Oildale, and compare it to any song that Danny sings with cleans. Jonathan blows him out of the water. Danny is a good, no a great vocalist, but Jonathan Davis and Korn are ten times better than AA and Danny
I was there with my brother and just by the people around us you could tell that no one knew who Jonathan was. The crowd was dead which I get it if people are tired by the end (I wasn't) but even at the beginning of the whole thing, half the audience was brain dead and the other half were on their phones.
"Not a good song to begin with, then they made it worse". This is how your comment should have read. Please think about how your actions will effect others int he future ok?..... ok.
Ruin? If you think this band is guilty of ruining a song you havent heard Punk goes Pop esk, type albums. AA probably does the best covers of any band to have ever been in that genre.
The crowd was absolutely horrible. If they have the APMA's next year, I really hope that they have a more lively crowd. And I love this combination of singers, although you couldn't hear Jonathan that well. It was an alright performance.
I'm disappointed that this is such a lazy performance. You could barely hear Jonathan over Danny's random and obnoxious glam-metal screams. Maybe it was just a poor choice of song but neither Danny nor Jonathan utilized their signature styles to cover this song. That's not to say it was all horrible, I just think these award-winning and iconic artists are capable of something more profound and memorable.
It's not Danny's fault. Both of there much could be turned up- it's the first award show AP ever did, there are going to be difficulties. Plus he wasn't that loud in the first place.
HereItLoveIt Jonathan was just HORRIBLE. Also, the song wasn't a good one. They should have done something a little more heavy. I'm not saying they should go back to their old shit, but they should have definitely done some Motley Crue or something.
Don't normally agree with people on youtube its a rule of mine, but well said. Danny is capable of so much more, Jonathan hasn't been relevant since Brian Welch.
I felt like neither of them were in their element here. Jonathan was barely there. It seemed like a terrible afterthought - the whole thing. Which is of course to say nothing of their talent as artists. They are all great.
I don't even think the rest of the guys even wanted to play this. What probably happened was Danny won some kind of bet (like a drinking contest or something) and JD was forced to sing along cuz he owed Danny a solid
you can tell that none of them knew who johnathon is, which is immensely disappointing.
Not really; I'm definitely not the first to say this, but the crowd was disappointing the entire show.
Well, they all seem pretty young to me. But, I don't know how they were raised. So, they could listen to Korn. It just didn't seem like that.
A lot of the people there don't know and/or appreciate old school rock. i thought this was one of the best performances of the night. not a huge fan of asking alexandria but danny has such a good voice
Agreed
i feel like jonathans mic was muted
Nah, the mix is fucking awful
@@chokeyoursoul I agree with you. There was many technical issues during the entire event.
I really enjoyed watching this performance yesterday. Asking Alexandria did a great job of covering this song.
Also the microphone seemed off in this video, I've noticed it in multiple other videos too. (cough sleeping with sirens cough)
it was the inaugural show....all of the performances had glitches..but for their first time all in all not that bad of a show..
Most award shows or big televised events with a band performing In it. The band are typically pre recorded. (Not saying all are this may or may not idk)
Vic's microphone started working in the end though
yeah i think kellin was also sick, or saving his voice/losing bc he in the middle of the making of a new album. Also he havent preformed live in a long time so.

never thought I'd see Asking Alexandria and Jonathan Davis covering Duran Duran.
i feel like im the only one here who knows Asking Alexandria, Korn, and Duran Duran.
+Zachary Kendall your're not alone
I On,y know Asking and Korn...
+Zachary Kendall no i know them all
All great bands
+peter wise Agree
It was a nice performance but you can just tell that the crowd wasn't into it at all
Well for one, the majority are probably riding the "Asking Alexandria sucks" train and two, a lot probably don't know the song nor who Duran Duran is.
The crowd was like this during every performance
Monika Rycyk that sucks
Haha so many kids there would have been so confused.
I was thinking that as well haha
***** because a lot of them wouldn't have had a clue who Duran Duran is.
people are so dumb.. they pay tribute to a song and scene kids, butthurts, and close minded people are like " oh this is painful to watch"
Don't watch it then, it's just a tribute
Chad dude didn’t even know the words lmao. What a joke. He sounded like a drunk idiot
If it’s a tribute, it needs to be good....
I'm just here to see Jonathan Davis.
More than a year later, still don't get how this happened
+Nelson Cuevas que cosa ?
This is actually pretty fucking good.
Welp I think the crowd probably wasn't expecting this
Can barley hear Jonathan
I popped my eardrums with a rusty flathead screwdriver rather than just stopping the video. I don't wanna accidentally hear it again later somewhere else.
#hopetheyburnedthestageafterwards
So excited to meet and see them live twice in Glasgow in October :D
We Trust!! KoRn!!! ♥
Danny's voice is so damn badass, rock & roll all the way!
This is why I love AA and Jonathan Davis. YUUUUUUUUSSSSSS sir!
They were amazing live !
The violinist are so lucky to be up there
How so?
Because, they were so close to some of my favourite bands xd
***** lol yeah
Lol the orchestra was more talented than half the bands that played.
I watched a video with Danny being interviewed about this and he said it was all thrown together at the last second he said him and JD aka Johnathon Davis were reading the lyrics backstage right before performing this haha
JD knew the lyrics.
I'd never thought id see this happen...I mean I was never waiting for a collaboration like this but dang so random it is beautiful!
This is actually pretty sick! Loving it!
man this is good!!!
That was fucking AWESOME fellas. Fuck all the haters, that was sick. Bottles up to danny and the boys and also Jonathan davis. One of the best covers ive seen
Danny looks awesome in that suit
This is hilarious while baked!😂😂
lol I am sure it would be, too bad I am on a t break
Im very impressed with this bands progression. Not at all a fan of the previous stuff. But their musicianship has grown tremendously.
Doesn't Danny look fabulous in his selected attire? ♡
3:16 one of the rarest power chords you will ever see asking alexandria play xD
dat sneaky guitar and bass change in between this song and killing you
This video was published on my birthday!! I feel special ^_^
Such a great cover (said nobody ever)!
everyone gets all excited for asking Alexandria. Then when the lead singer of korn comes out no ones screams. what is wrong with you people?
Wow! sings great as usual :)
Asking Alexandria playing in a major tone?! gawd, what is going on?!
Unusual, huh? XD
They were drunk
Just the title of this video makes me happy.
Danny's voice OMFG Oo
Yeahhhhh they rocked this song I love it woooohooo:3

well said
He's a star
***** Just because Danny is wearing a suite? It is a fucking award show he probably was to lazy to bring some clothes to change just for the performance.

Awesome 👏🏻
LOL i bet 85% of the people in that crowd never heard that song ever in their life and probably thought it was an original song...
this is perfect for korn or Jonathan Davis solo
sounds awsome
Vocalist of suicide silence?
yeah and the guitarist
😂😂😂 that crowd was buzzing lol
Jonathan has te best voice ever
title says it all
lol
I'm still waiting for the breakdown...
this is my dads favourite song..
it is not anymore.
That introduction from Eddie was so fucking it’s hilarious lmao
First reactions are wtf is danny wearing?!
lmao😂😂😂
I like How jd is like what the fuck is up.
Whatever the fuck was at around 3:30 that Danny did...that was fuckin awesome.
fuck Ben looks so good in this
Ben looks good all the time let's be honest😂
the guy from korn killed it
Thinking this could've been WAY better
Love Korn and AA!
TWO YEARS LATER I'M STILL QUESTIONING DANNY'S OUTFIT
this video is just weird
Audio recorded from a flip phone inside a popcorn bucket. You can't hear Danny, Jonathan, or Sams bass. You can hear the cymbals cutting through, and a little guitar
Where I can buy the t-shirt that Ben's wearing?
God Danny got so much better live.
I'm confused as to whether this is perfect or despicable
Right I am a massive Duran Duran fan! I am also a fan of asking alexandria, I will see them November of this year in concert. Ben was good as was the rest of the band. For a mans who's voice is so strong he sounded weak *danny* It did ruin a perfectly good song. But I'm just gonna listen to the original. John Taylor here I come xx
i'm not sure how i just found this! but holy hell!!!!!!!!!! this is what i imagine the afterlife to be like!!!!!!!!
What a lame crowd.
New Corpse and an even lamer performance
Cleveland?
80% of the kids there must've been like "the fuck"
Duran Duran es una banda que hay qie escuchar y davis como grqn fan intenta hacer qie escuchen a duran !!
danny did an amazing fucking job
The microphones for almost all performances have been all fucked up.
What does Jonathan Davis say at 3:50??? The wife and I have been arguing for years what he is saying. For the love of God please someone tell me.
"what's that hair do"
"what's new? can do?"
fuck idk
I dig.
did they mess up the words or was it just me?
La voz de Danny es tan hermosa :3
so... did Danny shaved his awesome beard or is this actually old?which i doubt since Eddie was there
the whole orchestra thing is weird but I love these awards
Fuck what anyone says. This is fucking awesome.

Ghost Certified 👏👏👏 well well said
AWKWARD!
Brutal Carai vem pro BRASIL Vem porra
Korn and Asking Alexandria my life is complete 0v0

When the singer from korn says he loves those parediddles to the drummer xD
Jonathan was totally underutilized in this performance.
How to ruin a good song!
Reed Leighton AA didn't even like the cover they did.
Grymhowl That doesnt mean they didnt do a good job. You can do something wonderfully and hate it.
Grymhowl That just means they hold themselves to a true artistic standard.
Danny - the Best !!!)
need to turn up JD's mic!!!
The singer of suicide silence
nice suit Danny..
did they know the lyrics at all
Does anybody else notice the orchestra teacher just dancing or is it just me ?
The crowd was absolutely horrible. If they have the APMA's next year, I really hope that they have a more lively crowd. And I love this combination of singers, although you couldn't hear Jonathan that well. It was an alright performance.

Es enserio?... que viene ahora, Coal Chamber con Alesana?
Yeah Fucking Scene \mm/ . I Love Danny Worsnop , Asking Alexandria
I don't even think the rest of the guys even wanted to play this. What probably happened was Danny won some kind of bet (like a drinking contest or something) and JD was forced to sing along cuz he owed Danny a solid
