An amazing performance by both, and perfect embellishment on the mandolin! I was thinking about tackling this myself, but I know I'll never make it sound like this artist has done.

Many thanks for your comments, John! Regarding your doubts about tackling this work yourself, please give it a try. Maybe It won't sound as Alon's version, but whatever serious effort that you will make is going yo bring you lots of shared joy and many personal benefits. Best regards.

Beethoven composed these pieces for his rich students who played the mandolin. Beethoven was at the piano. The piano part is much more than an accompaniment. Alon Sariel and Michael Tsalka give a splendid interpretation.
