You responded to someone else asking "how far out are the droplets electrostatically charged?" by saying "16-18 inches is the optimal distance for electrostatic wrapping", so, does that mean you want your target to stay at this 16-18 inch distance, or, are you saying that the droplets are electrostatically charged for all distances past the 16-18 inch point?

I am purchasing a Hurricane ES fogger for the purpose of performing Covid-19 disinfection services. What real benefit do I get from using this piece of equipment vs doing it with a backpack sprayer or B&G 1 gallon sprayer with fine tip at 30 psi of pressure?
Handheld and backpack electrostatic sprayers are very similar in flow rate and coverage. This video: ua-cam.com/video/3_oVXBrBG7Y/v-deo.html shows the difference between standard electrostatic sprayers, electrostatic pressure sprayers, and electrostatic foggers.
For doing large areas quickly and efficiently for infectious disease control, electrostatic foggers are the best option. If you need to use a heavier coating of decontaminant for Fentanyl or toxic chemicals, an electrostatic or pressure sprayer is the better option.
What is the droplet size range of your electrostatic model? And how is this controlled? Thank you.
Will the hurricane ultra 2 model work well for residential and smaller office space for sterilization etc or the would you recommend the ES? ES Is more expensive
The Hurricane ES applies an electrostatic charge to the disinfectant particles which allow for more complete coverage using less liquid. This is the only Hurricane model with has electrostatic capability and the only ULV cold fogger of this type.

A manual is included with the device. It is always recommended to rinse the tank and run the fogger with clean water prior to storage.
Is this well suited to office environments and cubicle areas, or would you say this is too much of a machine for smaller places like that?
The Hurricane is best used by hand carrying it and directing the fog onto a surface. It only takes a second to completely cover a surface. The only time it is overpowered for a job would be if you are in a situation where you absolutely do NOT want to get disinfectant or liquid in a certain area. Most office electronics can tolerate a very fine mist, but all electronics should be turned off before applying disinfectant and allowed to completely dry before being turned back on.
For situations where a more precise application is needed, the Victory MG200 and MG300 are very good options.

Where can I buy the yellow tester?
Can this device be used with electrolyzed water? or HOCL? I dont see any reason why it wouldn't be, I just wonder because its making a fog vs. a sprayer... but I guess even with a fog its still a liquid. Any thoughts on this?
Yes. We recommend liquid chlorine dioxide, however HOCL can be used in the same manner. Just ensure to wear the appropriate PPE and ensure surfaces stay wet for the correct amount of time according to the EPA label instructions.

How much coverage can it do or do I have to point in direction I want covered have a 30x30 showroom
If you are covering flat surfaces it will the cone will cover about 15'x15' at 15' away. If you are trying to coat complex surfaces like the backside of handrails or door handles it needs to be closer for the electrostatic effect to wrap, within a few feet.

Can you spray a water based anti microbial paint with this unit or would that clog it up ..thank you
This fogger is designed for water and oil based disinfectants and pesticides. It all depends on the viscosity of the paint. E-mail training@firstlinetech.com with the details of your formula and we can help out.
What is your recommendation for PPE while using the fogger?
Recommended PPE is based on the disinfectant used. However it is normally a half-face respirator with appropriate filters, eye protection, and gloves.
in highest setting how many minutes is it to finish 1 liter?
The Hurricane ES will run through 1 liter of decontamination in roughly 4 minutes.
