Some redstone secret rooms are activated by lighting up a normal redstone ore block meaning hitting it once and getting it to activate

So when in the chest room, there was a single block of lava. Try going through that lava.
Pro Minecraft Terms Tip:
A Strip mine is when you remove large chunks (stripping entire areas).
Vien Mining is a form of branch mineing and the name of a popular mod.
Branch Mineing - Mineing in 1 block or two block wide areas and branching off into different directions mostly randomly.
That long two by two wasnt a strip mine. It was just a mine.
