Well done to Gerwyn Price for his recent win of the PDC Darts World Championship :) This is a review of the recently released Red Dragon Darts Gerwyn Price Blue Ice Special Edition darts. I was not planning on buying these but when I saw how nice they were I could not resist lol I like the fact its actually a different grip to the other Price darts too, makes it more of a special edition rather than just another slight change.
There is also 20g soft tips available now, same price as steel tip :)

Just got these today (in soft tip). Lovely dart.
To be honest, I ordered them after a few beers and feel a bit guilty straying from my shot collection....but I'm glad I did. Really lovely to throw, esp as fairly new player.

I put supergrip stems on these and they are awesome. They just glide out of my hand so smooth. The grip (for me) is awesome, my fingers lock into the valleys so it’s a good grip but not sticky. Awesome set.

I’m a huge RD fan I have all of wrights and prices darts apart from new sets that’s just came out and I think they’ll do a world champion edition and spruce the packaging up like they did with wright , I’ll be putting a lot of money into wrights and gezzys new darts end of month , came out the only time I’m skint cos of Xmas 😫 lol
@@Chelskie-darts can imagine a gold set of gezzys being released or maybe gold instead of the blue colouring on them
I am sure they will make a few WC editions now :)
@@Pct98 : yer gold and blue would be nice but I was thinking more a reversed price colour so all blue and just silver were the blue usually is maybe even diamond fusion like the other diamond fusion set he has out , his got the back to black aswell which are beautiful plus his lunar 50th anniversary darts so maybe we’ll see a mixture of them all blended together

Thanks mate! I no longer have them but as with all coatings they all wear, they will wear at differing rates depending on many factors though, some people can wear them off quickly with close barrel on barrel contact if they are very good players and play a lot, some people have almost acid like sweat which can wear it too lol I know a guy who literally wore a coating off in just a few hours once!
@@DartsReviewChannel Yeah, I've used some black coated darts where they chip straight away, but a recent set of Shot Tribal Weapon Savage darts I used, no matter how much they got battered the coating was phenomenally durable and stayed looking new! Anyway, thanks for your reply and I think I'll order a set of these - great looking dart with the right set up 👍👍
@@shaunpassey3588 yeah I think some are definitely better than others, I think Voks have a good coating too because I think they do some kind of process to make it harder.
Yeah, and some of the voks barrels I've seen are crazily priced 😬 definitely depends on the brand. I find Harrows coated darts wear rapidly!
@@shaunpassey3588 well the guy I mentioned wore the blue off some Harrows Aura. But I used them for much longer and never wore off the way his did. He was a smoker though so not sure if his sweat was a problem?
I really like the look of the dart. That grip is something I would try in the future. Nice one darren.
I like them, grip helps with a bit of forward thrust which I think I need lol :)

Another good review! The grip on the front reminds me of the grips that Target darts do. The new flight from RD, Ionic look great too, though I would go with white version of them. Btw how do you fit flights into the Nitro Tech stems so flawlessly? For me I found them quite tight and tricky to fit them in past, though it might be my handling, anyway keep up with reviews for 2021!

BDO ended a while ago now, sad but was inevitable
@@DartsReviewChannel yeah, I used to see it on tv sometimes when I was younger! It’s sad how has gone down the hill, thank goodness for PDC being strong and some previous BDO players Qualifying to get PDC tour to compete in these events 🎯
Hey hey... Darren.if not for the blue zig zag I would never guess these as Gezzy’s. I like them but, man are they different! I noticed that you have the one80 board up for the slow mo but the Samurai Ii up for the main video. Do you do a ton of slow mo camera work and then catalogue barrels footage?

Always wanted to test a hexagonal shaped dart. Would you say that they are/feels like hexagonal for a rear gripper?
You like green too👍 no it's just the axis grip section that has a slight hexagonal feel ☺️

My wallets going to be alot lighter soon too, really tempted by the Cullen darts 🎯 and also like new Jeff Smith darts and Scott Mitchell ones, the RD Scott Baker darts look great Aswell.... Spoilt for choice...

I think the triple axis grip is a reference to being machined on 3 axis.
No idea to be honest, if that is it then the average punter wont know what it refers to either lol :)
I'm thinking about buying a set
I bought them as soon as I saw them come on sale, not done that for a while but just liked the look of them, one of them darts I had no idea if I would like but just a buy them for the looks set lol but I do like them now :)
Which one would you prefer harrows predator or winmau Cullen?
I have the Cullen but not tried them yet but I dont think they will suit me as much as the Predators :)
I got a set of these last month after a recommendation from a dart shop owner, never would have picked them up myself in a million years but as you mentioned in the video you really wouldn't believe to look at them how nice the grip is, I normally hate razor grip but this one isn't aggressive at all. Lovely darts to throw, one thing I'd mention for anyone who doesn't like the blue, mine basically peeled off like a sticker after about a week. I think they look much better in all silver and black but for anyone thinking about buying because of the colour, it might not last.

Not a huge fan of gerwyn price style darts but the colour on these are lovely.
I really only bought them as I liked the look of them but I much prefer the grip on these to his normal style :)

LOL its a nice dart, now I had more time to play with them properly they fly well, need to play with them a little longer to be sure if I want to keep them or not though :)

Yeah looks like they are now, when I looked though I could not find the ST, may be they had not added them to the site yet. They also did not have them when checking all the Price darts. But then a lot of the darts were not even able to be bought when I first went on to get them, I must have been too quick for their web master :)

I just bought some amberjack 15, 25g great quality but shorter then I expected but real nice

But I will say it's my first darts and I got my first dartboard for Christmas btw so I can't compare to anything else fyi lol 😅

I'd have the zig zag removed. Doesn't feel right. And that's where I hold my darts. I sold my black versions because of it.

Another good set of darts ruined by the shitty Nitro Tech stems. I don't know why Red Dragon continues to put Nitro Tech stems on their darts. Darts cost enough money without forking out even more money on new stems.

Pretty ugly dart imo, but good to see they have 22g Price darts available now.

I like the barrels but those darts are fucking ugly. The stem and flights don’t match with the barrel at all. Just looks weird. A see through dark blue stem would be much better
