This song came out around the time my son was born. Sweetest little boy ever. Smart, had so many good friends, but nearing his 20s his brain took a detour. It happened pretty quickly and he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. He's in his 30s now and lives with me. He's unable to work or socialize. He knows how much I love this song and on some level he knows I think of him when I hear it. On a good day he'll find it on UA-cam and crank it up. We don't talk about it, but its kind of like a "thinking of you" card. Life is full of surprises.

When i listen to GNR, I am always reminded of an old friend, British Army infantryman, who loved GNR. We would sit around playing cards for hours, listening to GNR all night. He such was a good friend for many years. His life was taken years later in southern England in a MVC . When I listen to GNR tonight I am reminded of our friendship. Good memories!!

One of the great bands along with ACDC, Credence and The Eagles. Absolutely excellent. Great clip. I'm 60 and this takes me back to that special place just like the song. Youth...cherish it.

My fav band of all time. Slash and Axl together are just pure electric. It's like Axl is the Thunder and Slash is the lightening, individually they are so exciting but put them together and you got the perfect storm. For me no one will ever top them. Pure genius.

I hate it when a good song gets run into the ground. Stairway, parqdice city. Some radio stations just ruined great songs for me. Now when I normally hear GnR "hits, I change the channel. I still need a break. I prefer all the other songs more now, mr brownstone, rocket queen and anything NOT played on radio or MTV.

This is the original video from the 80’s. I have no idea why they cut out the intro in the new official video. Kinda like how they cut slash’s solo down in the radio version when it first came out in the 80’s. This will probably be noted as one of the best songs ever recorded.
