I saw the 550 GTS in Le Mans 2006. Didn't do well this year, the best placed 550 ended with only 222 Rounds. But absolutely wonderful cars, they looked so sharp and fast and had this special something. You could almost hear them to the second chicane if you stood at the entry of the mulsanne straight. I am also remembering the amaizing Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT from the J-LOC guys, which had the exhaust pipes from both cylinderheads of its 6L V12 at the middle of its beautiful back. It screamed to you through all 6 gears along mulsanne straight to the first chicane. Then you heard it braking hard, shifting back through the gears to third entering the first chicane on the right side. Then hard accelerating at the apex out of the chicane, back through the gears to 6th. Second chicane, same thing. This time entry is on the left. Again accelerating from 3rd up to 6th, still hearing the Murciélago scream towards Mulsanne. Then hard braking through a right bend before entering mulsanne corner. After 6 km of beautiful loud V12 screaming, the roar slowly faded into a harmonic whistle. Most of the time it wasn't possible to hear it that long because of other cars on the track. Sorry for this long text ;) Thank you for sharing this video
