What it should do is have it where Bowser's Castle will show you what world it's hiding in. So, you could start looking at other worlds but if you blaze through World 8 to see the hint you know what world it's at.
Like, how cool would it be if someone made a romhack that instead of victory boxes at the end, there are pipes that lead to a random level , combine that with this and you got a psuedo metroid-vania thing
Depending on how this randomizes the levels, this could be like the "100 prisoners problem". In that case the strategy that should give the best result on average, is starting with the original bowsers castle location. Then go to the original spot for the level that is there, and so forth. But I guess the math gets a lot more complicated when you have to go trough levels to get to specific ones. And this also rely on the randomization forming 1 big loop.
I see what you're thinking, but that doesn't terribly apply here. In essence, this is the 1-prisoner problem, which already gives a 50% chance of success, which larger than the ~30% chance of success of the 100 prisoner problem. But besides that, the biggest limit in this case isn't the number of drawers you check, but how fast you can check drawers. The 100 prisoners problem has a far different solution if you have a given amount of time to check the drawers :p So I'd wager that starting out by warping between stages with a lot of level choices near the front of the stage would be the fastest strategy on average, then heading to stages with back-ended level choice (like stage 2), and then heading to stages with very linear progression, (like stage 1 or 8).
What about hide and seek where you actually have to find another player. They can enter the level to hide, but if they die, they are on the world map seen be everyone. They have to beat certain levels to give themselves flutes and if you leave the world, everything respawns.

Think definitely randomizing the world 3 spades/mushroom houses w/o a rock n adding additional levels if possible makes things more interesting ... Also Start off with MORE LIVES! If this is really going to be a race, you sacrifice alot of lives to find it then you need to start off with MORE LIVES 😃
4:23, the funny thing is I tuned in about 5 minutes into the first run and never saw you in world 7, so that was funny when you reacted to my comment on it being in world 7. I just didn't know but awesome anyway to be pointed out in a Mitch video!

I do not like this mode because it remove the purpose of the randomizer, the purpose of the randomizer his to see where all the level are being randomize to, you will never know what the entire seed as in store, since once you found Bowser you start a new seed and ignore the rest of the level, also I know I could do that once Bowser is found I die and do all the other level and keep a flute to get back their, but since warp whistle are in the item mix, I could end-up with unused hamer brother arena that only contain the warp whistle, because they are a lot of unused hamer bros arena that contain the warp whistle.
The way it is edited is good for kids who are used to TikTok. it’s absolutely garbage content that isn’t engaging unless you have extreme attention deficit disorder and need constant stimulation from quickly changing images,. Video is filled with all the UA-cam clichés that have ruined grand Poo bears videos like extreme close-ups and just random jump out cuts that don’t even seem to make sense. I don’t know how anybody watches this. It makes you sick because the images are constantly being chopped up without reason to make it more fast pace.
You can get as many lives as you want from 3-4 Using a turtle shell and the Cloud dude throwing Spikey boucy balls.. There's a spot in the middle the level to build the machine. Between the wooden blocks. Stand on the 2 blocks under the pipe. That's the spot. (Don't slide and kill all the turtles on the 2nd Big Hill) Kill the piranha plants and the Goombas here.. they'll be in the way later. Grab a shell from the big hill you passed before the pipes, then run right past the Spot, All the way over to where the 1up is to grab the cloud dude. He spawns at that row of bricks. Once he's on your butt, run back to the Spot, stand on the blocks And kick the shell which hopefully you managed to keep.. (the shell will be stuck bouncing underneath you between the wooden boxes) Now watch the grinder tally up as many lives as it can until the timer runs out. The faster you are at setting up the machine. The more lives you can get in one Turn. Watch for stray Spike Balls from above you. The pipe overhead can deflect balls straight at you if the Clouds movement allows it. You want the cloud to have a wide movement pattern, not a tight pattern. Enjoy. Should be a good strategy for this hide and seek game. Only takes 1 turn to get like 60lives once you learn the old ways.

3:14 when you found level 1-2 here you should have farmed the goombas for about 80 1ups, then continue dying on every level that doesn’t have Bowser.
I think this videos a great idea with how popular SMO and BOTW hide and seek has been. 2 player I feel would be fun at a GDQ event too

Fun looking game, there was a point when you moved worlds with 0 lives, need to take a death and continue before moving on so you get the extra lives!
