This is how all advent calendars should be: worth way more than what you're paying for, cause you already purchase them with the "catch" that you are NOT choosing what you're getting, so you might get products that you don't like or use, but you won't feel too bad about it cause they're still worth the money you spent. And you can always give the stuff you won't use or like to friends and family as actual christmas gifts, since they are good products and not just some throw-away merch that even the company didn't know how to get rid of (looking at you, Netflix advent calendar). You should feel excited to open the next little box and see what you got, cause it's meant to be 24 little surprises. This is also marketing done right, cause you might fall in love with a product you didn't know before and decide to invest in it, therefore both Harrods and the brand would potentially gain more customers from this. 10/10, such a shame it's sold out.

I was wowed by the Tom Ford lipstick! I am so glad to see an actual wearable lipstick color instead of the usual bright red that most people don’t really wear.
The MSRP on specialty grouped packages, especially like this one, should always be more than what you would pay if you were to purchase each item individually imo. That's the whole reason for buying it in a package form like this. It should also introduce you to items you may have not purchased on your own otherwise in hopes of you liking it and wanting to start purchasing it from here on out. So good job, Harrods! Other companies need to pay attention because this is how it should be done!
Love that this calendar actually was value for money and not just beautiful packaging (which it also was). If I'm getting a beauty Advent calendar, I want it to be a less expensive way to try new products.

Ok, it might be hideously expensive, but gosh, this is how you do an advent calendar! It looks absolutely stunning and even though I'm not really into beauty products, I know these items are good quality and worth the cost. It's beautiful and fantastic value for money.
Def worth it. But it pretty much tells you the mark up on all those items. I doubt they're losing money on the advent, so the "cost" to manufacture all those items, would likely makes us cry, if we knew.
I thought that she was going to put the total price results at the end ,now I'm just going to have to watch again to get the total myself. She could also do it while omitting the products that she didn't like. (Mine would be for "in a perfect world", kinda way) I love the way she doesn't hold back on her own feelings, but she's still nice even with the yucky ones!

An expensive Advent that is actually well worth the price. Personally it wouldn't do anything for me but I'm very impressed. That Charlotte Tilbury lipliner is very popular and I believe sells out a lot. Face creams are so expensive, they included some really posh ones in there. For people who love nice beauty calendars, this is really great. I love watching these and look forward to watching them. Being a man, none of these products except for the cologne means anything for me. I personally use "Bleu of Chanel" for special occasions. But to see your reactions to each item and the packaging of the calendar was very well made. Out of all my you tubers that do openings you will always be my favorite Cherry. You put so much emotion and flair in all of your videos!!!

If they can put all these products in an advent calendar AND still turn a profit, it tells you all you need to know about how much these products actually cost to make. As with most things, you eventually reach a point where you’re just paying for the brand and most of the price is mark up. Btw, that blush was actually really nice. Just a light natural glow.
They're probably not turning a profit, brands are probably giving away the products to the store and writing it off as promotion, and the store is charging for logistics and packaging only.
After two slightly disappointing calendars, third time’s a charm! I LOVED this advent calendar ❤ As a person obsessed about makeup and skincare, I was so excited about all the products! Can’t imagine spending that much money though, but it seems to be worth it, as the items do not disappoint. Thanks Cherry for opening the calendar for us! 😊
I'm definitely not familiar with almost any of these brands, but even I can tell this calendar was a lot more thought out and the size of the products were very nice. I could see someone splurging on this if really like different skin care!

Wow, what a calendar! I live in Australia now,but I went to a private girls school in Yorkshire in the 70s and my uniform came from Harrods. We had to make a special trip to London to buy everything. I remember it being an amazing place to shop and even then very expensive.

I've only just stumbled upon this channel. I mjust say your videos are very professional. The background and the way you coordinate with the branding like the way the green of your cardigan matches the Harrods branding/colours/logo. Loving this series. I thought I spent enough this year on the M and S chocolate one. It's the most I've ever spent on an advent calendar but I do love luxury and Harrods definately exudes that. I would love a Fortnum and Mason one and would love one of them if they did one and would like to treat myself to one of their hampers or a Harrods one next year :)
Harrods put all the value into the beauty advent calendar and very little into the food advent calendar. If you’re going to get a food one go for the Fortnum & Mason one.
Cherry box it all up and open it all again in December, wipe it from your memory and start again hahaha really wish I had ordered this one, when I looked over a month ago it had sold out but now I know August is the go time, I will deffo get next years

Vs a calendar for Netflix or Harry Potter that is trying to turn a profit on the actual calendar.

As someone who has work with perfume for years. You never rub your wrist together after spraying as it destroys the smell, you pat them together 😊

Fortnum does a beauty advent, as well as a tonne of others (food, drink etc) every year.
Harrods put all the value into the beauty advent calendar and very little into the food advent calendar. If you’re going to get a food one go for the Fortnum & Mason one.

Someone commented on another one of these videos that calendars that are for beauty/ make up products have an incentive to put good things in bc they’re trying to sell you on buying the bigger version later. Vs a calendar for Netflix or Harry Potter that is trying to turn a profit on the actual calendar.
