I am American, nearing 50 years old. I played "soccer" as a child, maybe through age 8 or 9, but baseball was the sport that clicked with me, and I did not learn to truly understand and see the beauty of soccer. UNTIL- for some reason maybe 10 years ago i clicked on a few Messi highlight videos, and they amazed me so much that I began following the game and Messi in particular. And sure, I'm no expert, but I appreciate the beauty of the sport so much now. And along the way I looked into Messi so much more, and yes, everybody has bad days or bad moods or whatever, but Messi, literally perhaps the most famous person on the planet, tries so hard to make everyone feel apprecated, help those who need help, stay humble. You can tell by the way he smiles, hugs, touches the children on their heads or faces- he really values the interactions, and he understands how much a small gesture from him can literally change someone's life. I truly thank God for the richness and depth that Messi has added to my life just from watching him. And now I live barely 100 miles from his home club stadium! Gracias, Leo.

Only evil people with hatred and jealousy in their hearts would hate Leo. He is a christian believer and respects everyone. He's a family man and always gives his fans a feeling of closeness despite his status. Ronaldo is good but not a GOAT! Nobody can match Messi in terms of football. And like you said, Ronaldo has an arrogance in him, and not just because of the phone he broke from a little boy. But also that he always claimed in the media that he had to win more than leo and that he was better than him, Ronaldo's sister always talks bad about Leo on Instagram.
