Being from the USA, I just love watching these videos! One thing my husband and I enjoy doing is visiting grocery stores wherever we travel to, so these videos really are enjoyable for us both. I remember when we were in Germany, we would go to the grocery just to look at everything! :)
Awhhhhhhhh, Cheryl really miss going to my loca! Sainsburys , haven't been able to go for ages now , with my mobility problems , after spending all of my years working in an operating theatre 34 in total , I now need 2 new knee replacements !!! Love your shopping hauls , I am totally sold on your chicken , mushroom and Philly cheese recipe , wonderful , love your recipes they are brilliant , rocky road next. , great , love Jasper , such a cutie !! Hugs
hi! I just wanted to say thank you for posting these videos. These and your meals of the week videos have been so lovely and helpful to watch. I have a few issues around food and figuring out what to eat became a huge stress recently. Videos like yours have been immensely helpful, and you're so friendly :) thanks !!
Cheryl, I love hearing you speak. My parents and my sister and I emigrated from Scotland when I was a young child. When I was in 1st grade, I was put in speech therapy. The therapist never realized that my "impediment" was actually a Scottish accent. The therapist met with my mum at the end of the school year and only realized then that I had an accent.
Oh bath time for Jasper. That strawberry cheesecake ice cream looks amazing. I could very easily have a snacksident with that and eat the whole container. Have a blessed week everyone. From Central New York.
Now that Mr. What’s for Tea has time in his hands you could teach him to make all those homemade foods you don’t have time to do! Keep him out of trouble ;)
Hello there I've been having morrisons delivered. I liked the look of Gastro chips. Those chicken burgers look like a treat. Well done at your weight watching. Can't wait to to see your recipes, in the week.
I have that Lo-salt on my kitchen bench in Australia! Bought it in the UK in December 2019 before coming home just in time before - you know - that virus.
I love watching your shopping spread. I wish I could be in Largs right now. Miss British food very much. Do you remember mr Kipling treacle tarts. And chocolates. Greetings from usa
6:19 McCain Gastro Chips. I'm jealous. Even though McCain Foods is based in Florenceville, NB, a 90 minute drive from my front door, I can't get Gastro Chips in Canada!
Love your grocery hauls Cheryl! Can I ask, what are those Richmond meat-free sausages like? I normally buy the Linda McCartney ones, but these sound quite nice!
Now I want a hotdog! I had a chili dog recently. ❤️. I'm must say ketchup on a hotdog makes me shudder. I love onion and some type of mustard on my hotdog.😊 Do you eat your Heinz beans with hotdogs in Scotland? You eat them with a lot of meals I would never pair them with, so I'm curious, because pork and beans are a very common side dish with hotdogs and hamburgers in America. I don't call it lemon squash, or diluting juice. I think powdered mix is used almost exclusively. Great to see Jasper. 😺
Just curious - do you folks have any issue with bagged salads getting recalled for e-coli or listeria, or anything like that? Seems like we have that come up at least once a year, here in the States.
Yes we do, there’s also been a couple of programmes on TV where the salad bags were tested and found to contain E. coli. The scientist pretty much said that she wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole
It's always good to see Jasper...such a good boy, even if it's him soaking up the sun. :) About the music, I told my hubby that if I ever decide to turn my channel into a Dashcam bit, he's going to have to burn me a CD of his bass playing so I don't have to worry about copyright issues ha!
by the way if you put the bananas in a paperbag they will ripen quicker as the chemical it produces stays inside the bag, can't remember the name, sorry?
I watched the first one of the Stovies upload and just thought the second one was a mistake and I didn’t watch again - should I have done? Does it affect your numbers? Love your videos!
You are not allowed to rant about prices until you have tried living in the United States one of the blessings of moving back to Britain will be cheaper living:-)
So true! I go back and forth and miss the decent food prices in UK. I also miss the Alpro puddings, but could never find real NY style bagels in Scotland.
Hope you're not referring to your channel as a "cooking channel" considering the prepared foods you buy nowadays. I must admit I tended to enjoy it more when you bought fresh produce and meats then showed us what you made with it. We're all too busy to cook so its becoming watching the same old story of our own lives. You were my inspiration and encouragement! BTW, my family has become addicted to your tuna on mashed potatoes with beans! Sigh.
Hi, she mentions that she shows what her family has for tea during the week, and includes recipes for what she makes. She has said she's not a chef or a baker. I hope that helps, See. Cheers. :)
@@danielvallelunga1596 same here. I'm 44 and have a hubby and 2 teens. I wake up early to make breakfast and get dinner prepped so that when I come home from a long day at work, dinner is easier to cook. But I'm an early bird so waking up at 5am to get the day started is easy for me. And yes, I'm perfectly fine cooking for my family, I like to do it for them and don't like anyone in the kitchen with me lol

I just love seeing little Jasper!!
Always a joy to see your videos. You are a sweetheart and we wish you and your family very well. Take care. Much love from the USA!
American here, and I’d love to see a video on how you typically prepare beans and toast as a meal.

Cheryl,

Thank you for posting these videos. An oasis of normality during this age of plague.

Aww,Jasper! I love seeing him and hearing your voice.
Awwwwwwww, what a great family that you have. Jasper is a beautiful kitty. Reminds me of one I had many years ago.
Now that Mr. What’s for Tea has time in his hands you could teach him to make all those homemade foods you don’t have time to do! Keep him out of trouble ;)
Lol my poor husband doesn't cook...and I'd prefer it that way as I consider the kitchen my domain
pro tip : watch series on flixzone. Been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Dominik Alvin Yea, I have been using flixzone} for years myself :D
So looking forward to your rocky road:) loving your recipe videos!

Those crispy onions are delicious sprinkled on a salad too :-) xx
That's so funny (new subscriber here)....hete in the US, Heinz makes ketchup either low in sodium or added sugar, but not both! I wish they did!
OMG! I just saw a Flake package! My favorite! Hard to find in US!
You have neater items than we do in the US...would love to shop there, I would go nuts!
I never seen Cole slaw with cheese, does your family enjoy it?. Great video.
6:19 McCain Gastro Chips. I'm jealous. Even though McCain Foods is based in Florenceville, NB, a 90 minute drive from my front door, I can't get Gastro Chips in Canada!

I like Häagen-Dazs Rocky Road ice cream. The absolute best rocky road I've ever tasted.

More like once a month nowadays. There's always some food or drug being recalled. Last year was the worst ever. It figures.
So glad to hear you like ketchup on your hotdogs Cheryl.
What about the mustard?
I made my Floridian Stovies today, added green pepper, lima beans and garlic, thyme and bay leaf
👍👍👍👍
How old is Jasper my oldest one is 5 and I’ve been told to break her into senior food, isn’t it 6 or 6 and half I should be doing that!?!
P.S. would love a scottish pie right now
I love the gastro chips!
I call it diluting juice lol
Squash for us!
Crispy potato slices are the best thing ever xx
ah that's why I had a deja vu yesterday, I did see it before haha.. sorry you had to pull it down, but i liked the reminder i got from seeing it again
by the way if you put the bananas in a paperbag they will ripen quicker as the chemical it produces stays inside the bag, can't remember the name, sorry?
Yeah and bananas ripen other fruit faster too 👍
Ethylene 🙂
@TheRenaissanceman65 ah chemistry .... the subject I never was able to grasp!
Nice haul.
I watched the first one of the Stovies upload and just thought the second one was a mistake and I didn’t watch again - should I have done? Does it affect your numbers? Love your videos!
Yes. She lost the money from the first video. She asked for us to watch the 2nd video
@@texastea5686 I’ve just watched the second version now, thanks for that! It’s such a funny way of doing things by You Tube!
It's better without music, then you can hear the blethers better lol xxx
bless you
Love the butchers steak pies too yummy
I'm doing intermittent fasting and keto , why do I torture myself watching your shopping and food videos?!
Lol
I did wonder why you had uploaded twice 🤣
Ooh its dilute 🍊
They are the best hotdogs.
Juice concentrate
4 pounds for Jasper’s food?!? It’s his fault for the big bill! 😉🤣
Lol I buy a 16lb bag!

Victoria Foulger and Wright at Home have not fallen into the pre packed/convenience trap.
YOU PUT KETCHUP ON YOUR HOTDOGS? For shame! Everyone knows that you put mustard on hotdogs. Ketchup is for burgers and French fries.
Oh geeze
