my favorite caliber.... finally the 22 250 gets its day...
Cheers
Agreed
And btw, kudos to Sam. That lady can spot, and shoot as well. Take care.
Thank you, cheers
Great shooting Sam! Glad to see you having fun and putting bullets on target at such a long distance. You did pretty well too Mark. Love seeing you both working together having fun. Greeting from the central west of NSW.
Cheers Dave, thanks
I swear you guys are psychics...ive been researching a 1:7 twist build for the 95 smk for the last couple weeks, then this Wonderful video appears
Cheers
I just built a 7 twist 22-250AI. Haven’t shot it much but I’m liking it so far.
@@mandagrath what barrel length did you get? I was looking at a criterion but havnt settled on a length yet...thinking about the 30
Mine is 25”. I build lots of different stuff to see if I like it. It’s just a green mountain blank. Nothing fancy. I like short barrels so I go AI to get some speed back. After watching this I’d probably go 8” twist. Good luck on your project.
This thing is freakin sweet!!! I have two 22-250.... 1 my grandfather had built for him back in the 80's that he gave to me and a Ruger M77 Hawkeye I bought a year ago. It's such a cool cartridge and I've always wanted one with a faster twist to shoot the high BC bullets. Good shooting guys and great video as always keepem coming!!!
Cheers Daniel, thanks
The Mrs. did not want to stop!! Loved that laser beam.
I did not know there were 90 GR. for the 22-250’s. Def. helps for those long pokes.
Wind looked in your favor also.
Great looking rig! $$$$$$$$
Cheers Man, thanks
Nice work! Y'all seem to have that rifle tuned in perfectly for that distance. Sam's grouping looks great!
Thanks Paul, just first shots, but good so far, cheers
Awesome shooting guys. Gotta love that 22-250. One of my favorite cartridges.
cheers
Always have liked the idea of a fast twist 22 250
Yep, cheers
Excellent video as always! Always look forward to seeing videos from Mark and Sam pop up. I REALLY REALLY like the intro, panning over the rifle and showing us what it is. Fantastic! And 22-250! Very interesting. I literally just got an old Ruger Model 77 Mark II heavy varmint 22-250 put into a new stock last night, floated the barrel as the new stock was a little tighter than I would have liked, and did some trigger work. Love the caliber. Be safe Mark and Sam!
Thanks Todd, glad you liked, and yours sound great, Cheers
You two are quite the team, it’s such a joy watching the both of you. You give so much respect to each round you send.👍
Thank you.
Thanks Rich, Cheers
I am amazed how smooooth rifle's action is! Great job!
👍😎
So much fun to watch you two do these videos. That round was hitting hard at that distance, impressive. Stay safe everyone!
Cheers Man, thanks
1200 yards. 2 shooters. NO misses. Well dayum! Ya'll make that look so easy!! LOL. Thanks for bringing us along.
Cheers Man, glad you liked, thanks
Wow, that’s some awesome marksmanship there! And that little 22-250 what a stinger!!
Well done guys. From South Africa 🇿🇦
Cheers
Looks like a very nicely balanced set-up shot by two pro’s! Enjoyable video, makes me look forward to my next shoot.
Well done!
Thanks Wynand, glad you liked, Cheers
Love it when you guys shoot actual feasible shooting distances!!
Lol, Thank you. Cheers
I really like the look of that chassis. Plus the OD Green is my fav and really impressive. Great shooting
Cheers Tim, thanks
Nicely done. Im envious of all the shooting you get to do, not to mention having the components to load for it all. Cheers guys!
Thanks Mike, Cheers
Very nice shooting from both of you and great to see the 22-250 preform so well great grouping
Thanks Steve, Cheers
They are fun to shoot, but had no idea they would reach out that far! Great shooting!
Cheers
Thats working real nice! Nice shooting from both of y’all. Always enjoying the content. Cheers ☕️
Cheers man, thanks
lol, i love her giggle. Awesome shooting the both of ya.
Thanks Nathan, Cheers
Really liking the 4AW Bipod. You both have done amazingly well 👏👌
Cheers Man, thanks
Impressive this mini mag ! I was waiting for a video since the first time you talked about a 22-250 project. I'll order a 1:8 twist for my next barrel. My factory rem. 700 is so accurate and easy to tune, I really love it. Cheers
Yes shot great, glad you liked, Cheers
Love seeing the ripples in the atmosphere from the bullet.
Cheers
Awesome video, that was cool seeing the vapor trail.
Thanks Sterling and it's "bullet trace", lol, cheers
Thank you for the information. You two are great.
Cheers Charles
One of my all time favourite calibers I just bought my self a nother 22 250 tikka t3x varmint and it's a grate shooter
Awesome, Cheers
Great rifle and and an awesome old school cartridge!
Yep, Cheers
That is absolutely fantastic. Love it!!
Cheers Man, thanks
You both make that look so easy
We work at it, lol, Cheers
Great shooting. Love the 22-250 so much fun
Yep, Cheers
Gobsmacked, unbelievable 👍
Cheers Mike, thanks
Still hitting with authority at that range. Very impressive 👏🏻
Cheers, man
Thats what I have been wanting to build. I have been saying that the 22-250 1-7 twist with 90 grain or 88 grain pills is the Valkyrie killer. This is what they should of released.
Lol, glad you liked, Cheers
Great video guys! Nice trigger time Sam, legend!!
Thanks Gareth, and yes, lol, Cheers
Always been partial to the 22-250. That 7.7 twist and 90grs does quiet well.
Glad you liked, Cheers
Really enjoyed the detailed look at all the bits and pieces on the rifle! Would love to see more of this in future videos
Cheers Lex, thanks
That's some real shooting right there. Thanks for the great video, as always.
Cheers Man, thanks
My dream rifle! The perfect build
Cheers
Thanks Mark & Sam 👍👍
Cheers
Great video and great shooting. When my 22-250's barrel (1:14) is shot out I will replace it with a 1:7 twist barrel and try to duplicate your results.
Great plan, Cheers
That’s awesome shooting from both of use
Cheers Mike, thanks
Parabéns Sra Sam , continue atirando você vai ficar melhor que o Mark !
Cheers Tiago
Great shooting Mark&Sam a nice Tac-Driver
Cheers Jeff, cheers
geeeeez that 22-250 is hammering at long range well done !!!!!!!!
Cheers Edi, thanks
That’s some great accuracy fella.
cheers
Liked the new intro with summary and close up of the rifle certainly allowed us to get a good appreciation of the set up, fantasticly consistent shooting, a bit suprised to see how much energy the round was carrying at that distance (plenty of speed with decent weight guess not so suprising really). Hope to see you reach out a little further and take it through trans-sonic, would guess just the logistics in detecting hits will be challenging, cheers
Cheers Dan, thanks
Great shooting with a great little rig!
Thanks Larry, Cheers
Nice ! I love the Howa action. Wish they would make a true magnum length.
Cheers
As always BRILLIANT.
Cheers Man, thanks
Great shooting guys! The 22-250 is a cracking wee round a friend of mine swears by his
They are, Cheers
my first purchase savage 110 / 22 250 great hunting rifle
Cheers
Awesome! I have a .22-250... but shoot 55 grain projectiles. And, my longest shot is 603 paces 🙂, while hunting vermin... but never tried it on targets beyond 300 yards. That was the max distance at the range.
Hi Mik, glad you liked. All the best with your .22-250. Cheers
I had planned to do an almost exact build this spring but went on another project. Maybe next year ill rebarrel my 22-250 with a quicker twist. Good shooting
Yeah, sounds like a plan. Thank you. Cheers
That may be my favorite rifle you've done so far.
Sweet shooting Sam!
Cheers man, thanks
Brilliant shooting u2. Must admit I love my 22.250 rem.
Thanks Bryan, Cheers
Nice, I’ve done the same but Ackley improved mine with 1/8 twist
Awesome, Cheerws
Nice project, I love the 22-250 accuracy.. Forwarding this link to my Byron Bay mate who shoots the Tikka 22-250 on foxes and wild dogs. He has not seen your channel as yet, he WILL NOW!
Thanks Tom, cheers
Proper Job ,,as we say in Cornwall ,great shooting team
Thanks Col, Cheers
excellent shooting!! nice looking chassis
Cheers
Hi guys another great video
Very nice shooting both of you what an awesome couple and team you two make l wish my wife had the same interest in shooting that Sam has your a lucky man Mark but I can see how much that you appreciate her she’s a one off gem , nice rifle setup as well Steve.
Thanks Steve, Cheers
The 22-250 is just a shooter. Love mine beyond imagination.
Awesome, Cheers John
Great shooting Mark and Sam.
Cheers Rich, Thank you
So nice to see you behind the trigger Sam. You need to get there more often so it will encourage other women to enjoy shooting disciplines in long range shooting. My wife is so competitive, she loves out shooting me at times. This gives us something else we enjoy doing together in a marriage that is now 44 years of loving her more each day than I did yesterday.
Great idea, glad you liked, Cheers Craig and all the best.
Unbelievable shooting from you both, awesome!!! Makes me second guess getting into long range shooting myself, lol!!! You both make it look so simple
All about practise, glad you liked, Cheers
22-250 CAN do it! Albeit with a 90 grain bullet and loaded well,... interesting shooting. One thing with using mild steel target, at least we can easily see the hits.
Thanks for this.
Cheers Reg, thanks
Great shooting that was awesome
Thanks Darrin
Unbelievable shot…wolf creek all over again
Cheers
Sam I think you are a rockstar. Hope to see you shoot more
Cheers
What a group!!
Yep, Cheers
Fantastic shooting!
Cheers Jerry, thanks
Awesome shooting guys 👌
Cheers
Awesome shooting Sam!
Cheers
😮😮😮😮 man i like the 22-250!!! I have my dads savage 12 with 12 twist! Id like to get more out of it but dont wanna change it much cause of what it means to me!!!
Yeh, get it, FYI, new barrel isnt that bigger deal....Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork right!!! Id like to go with a heavier bullet like 75-80gr!! But im not hunter just like to shoot!
Very nice shooting Sam.
Thank you, Cheers
Love that bullet trace 😃
Cheers
Great video! No one would ever expect 22-250 at that range.Really not that extensive of a built rifle?Sam sure enjoyed shooting it.
Thanks Jay, glad you liked, Cheers
Sam’s so adorable 😂😂
Cheers
I'm impressed. Two Shooters On Target with the same rifle, nothing wrong with that.
Cheers Rus, thanks
Great Video!
Cheers
Nice!! good shooting Sam !!
Cheers
Looks like 22 250 with a hot twist barrel takes advantages of those high bc .224 caliber projectiles. That looks like an absolute perfect gun to spot your own Trace !
Cheers
Very nice!
Cheers
That's brilliant for a 22.250 cracking shooting by both.
Cheers Man, thanks
Nice comments from another great marksman Simon!
Gotta love the old 250 don't know why more people dont use it for extended ranges???
Yep, glad you like, Cheers
Slow twist barrels aren’t offered for many factory rifles, it’s also seen as an old cartridge, not as sexy. But those who know, know
Fast twist, smaller number faster twist....Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork corrected, cheers mate
Great vid. I'm guessing the "everyday" cartridges (22-250, 30-06, 300 Win Mag, etc) have been shooting just as good on this channel as all the exotics.
Cheers Man, thanks
Great shooting. comment for the algorithm
Thanks Taylor, cheers
Impressive!
Cheers Man, thanks
Federal premium is coming out with a 100gr fusion for the new factory .224 Valkyrie loads. I’d love to see such a super-heavy projectile out of something like a .22 Creedmoor or indeed the .22-250.
I didn't realize Federal has a 90gr fusion .224 bullet now. might be worth a try. I'd like to see these 100gr, for my 22 creed.
CHeers
That's a sweet little rifle
cheers
That was fun!
Cheers
Well done guys 👍 mark you don’t look as cute as Sam squatting behind the spotting scope tho 😂
Lol, Cheers
Awesome!!!!...
Cheers
Sam: cozy and comfortable and perfectly at home behind the spotting scope.
Mark: folds himself up into an awkward, temporary, and uncomfortable looking half-squat behind the spotting scope.
Always wonderful content. Have you ever considered doing a .25-06 project or is that cartridge just completely irrelevant outside of North America?
Cheers Man, and well we pay for 90% this ourselves, maybe if we got more help?
@@markandsamafterwork Yes indeedy. Planning on getting a coffee mug next paycheck and within the next month or two getting a break for a 300wm project I am putting together.
Thanks Man, but only if suits, we all gotta pay them bills, lol, glad you like, Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork Bills are paid and coffee mug purchased just now. Happy to support the top-notch content. I have learned a ton and been inspired by your videos to expand my own shooting repertoire and take on some new projects. Thanks.
gees you could pop rabbits in the next county with that thing
👍😎
Quiero comprar ese calibre. Aquí en España no es muy conocido pero yo tengo interés en el. Buen disparo. Saludos desde España
Awesome, Cheers
1200 yard bunny buster...cheers
Cheers
Good video ..... shootin the small pill ..... a really good round though
Thanks Jay, glad you liked, Cheers
