- Опубліковано 5 чер 2021
- Michael James delves into Bhagavan's teachings of "Who Am I", self inquiry and surrender, shares how they look different at the surface and explains how both are one and the same as has been clarified by Bhagavan in many cases.
This talk was part of Saranagathi 2021 program celebrated on May/30/2021.
Michael James is absolutely beautiful being…when he speaks I have tears in my eyes… big commotion…..
When one engages in Self Inquiry for prolonged periods, there is a surrender that comes naturally. That is at least my experience. Thank you Michael for your beautiful voice and exposition!
Namaskar Brother, I am happy to see your comment, you are graced soul ❤️🙏.
Surrender..surrender and surender this is living in awareness where thoughts are nowhere. It should be practiced and this is the only sure practice that will hasten realization of the true self.Go on living in awareness..where thoughts disappear.
This verily true.Self enquiry is not a cup of tea which you enjoy and forget..taste and flavour will be forgotten as a distant reminiscence, but prolonged enquiry hits you from all sides, even pin pricks you emotionally and intellectually till one day suddenly you remark that you Are walking on the path inadvertantly without any effort. Each word of the scripture will take you in it's embrace moulding and sublimating lower energy to higher ones.
With heartfelt thanks to our beloved Bhagwan for this talk, organised by Ramanasram and great devotee Michael,. Who is an inspirational devotee. We r blessed. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Thank you 😍🙏
For the last question, I am reminded of "The 'I' does not get liberated. The liberation is from the 'I' ".
Who says Sri Bhagavan didn't leave disciples? He didn't give mantra diksha in the orthodox manner, but he transmitted the highest truth to his direct disciples like Muruganar and Sadhu Om, and then we have people like Michael James who was with Sadhu Om for so long in Tiruvannamalai. The lineage is clear: Sri Bhagavan--Sadhu Om--Michael James (and many other similar lineages: Kanakammal, for instance, had the privilege of learning both from Sri Bhagavan and then from Muruganar). We as devotees are in the same lineage, and there is no greater blessing than that! Om Namo Bhagavate Sri Ramanaya.
Beautiful Brother ❤️🙏
sanjeev nath, jnana is our real nature. Sri Bhagavan Ramana Arunachala Siva is omnipresent and infinite jnana. Therefore Bhagavan and jnana have no lineage. Having a lineage is at most an idea of devotees. Of course, we all should be grateful for hearing the profound explanations of Michael James.
@@josefbruckner7154 Well, it depends on how one sees it. The greatest Advaita texts such as the Mandukya Upanishad declare that there is no search, no seeker, nothing to attain. In fact, to do sadhana is in a way is a sign of weakness. I am the truth, jnana swarupa, so what do I have to try to achieve? But for most people, sadhana is necessary, devotion is necessary. All sadhana is dualistic, and it is through dulaistic sadhana that one finally realizes the Advaitic assertion that one is jnana swarupa. And when we talk of sadhana we talk of lineage. Sri Bhagavan Himself began with the deepest devotion possible. The young Venkataraman who wept before Meenakshi Amman realized His true nature incredibly quickly, while ordinary mortals like me plod through sadhana slowly...Anyway, thank you so much for your response.
@@sanjeevnath4350, so long as we identify ourselves with ego-mind-body sadhana and devotion are necessary. Even young Venkataraman seemed to be an "ordinary mortal" till July 1896. Therefore "plodding through sadhana slowly" is the best way for us. Atma vichara is to be considered as a dualistic sadhana only in the early stage. Kind regards to you.
@@josefbruckner7154 I think you meant to say “plodding through sadhana slowly”
Arunachala siva Arunachala siva Arunachala siva Arunachada🙏🙏🙏🦋
Sivani priya, what is Arunachada ? (perhaps a typo ?)
Thank you! 🙏🏼❤️
Arunacala Siva.🙏🏾
Thank you!!!! 🙏
Profound

Arunachala Shiva
If a person would just sit and do nothing surrendering every thought and action to God both good and bad, giving responsibility for everything to God, the "I" will disappear and the Self will be revealed. The reason people don't realize God is because they cling to the "I" thought and the things of the world. You cannot serve both God and mamon.
Where I can find the verses Michel James talked about it?

Hahaha...
I wish I could understand this. I'll stick to Christianity which is far easier to understand.
