The country is not governed today like how it was in the past under king , so you could arguably say the whole country is saying that. 👍. People often want their cake and eat it too. Can’t see things one way and have it be another. Have complete rule under a king just like you did in the past. Go back to becoming a serf, peasant and commoner. Stop being halfway about it. Because there’s plenty to argue from people who are native to that country against monarchism. Just like those who weren’t. That wealth from other nations wernt brought back to the British people to help them. It was brought back to increase the inequality divide and the issues that are harming them. We keep the people elsewhere way poorer than we do the people over here is a foolish way and reason to be happy and content. Denying people their potential to become great themselves. It’s like being happy because somebody took away two arms from someone else and left you with just one. That’s a ridiculous way to measure happiness. If you’re capable of achieving a lot and don’t get the opportunity to do so. Then you’re not free and you are oppressed. Under this idea of none merrit entitlement and bloodline supremacy rule. I think people want to go back to feudalism as a slave under a lord where they have no rights and their owned as property. King wouldnt mind that, but the people now have too much power for that to happen. That woman does have a solid point come making a plate like that to a person is ridiculous. If it’s for a country and its values and god, then that’s different.

The irony of this video was that when the British "King" was crowned, the so called "royal" family invited dignitaries from all around the world to attend the coronation ceremony. It was not only astonishing that the African heads of state actually responded to this invitation but on arriving in the Uk, the African heads of state were disrespectfully all shipped onto a single coach and driven to their places of residence. Notably, other heads of state from other countries who attended this coronation had private specialised and dignified treatment befitting of their position of heads of state.

It was the United States of America and France who came with their entitlement dignitaries in each of their own fancy vehicles. If I'm not mistaken, I stand corrected but it was only Ethiopia who was the only African country who refused to be heardled into the coach like cattles, to avoid scandal the British government allowed it. Cited by the monarch or British government that it would help climate change that Africans and Caribbean heads of state weren't allowed to refuse their place of this 'royal' occasion! Yeah whatever

I am an African living in the UK. I am not a royalist either, but at least we have to appreciate that you can say this in the UK and the royal family can't end your life because you are against them. In the developing world, if you publicly speak against a minister, let alone a president or king, your life is finished.

Every leader of a land defaults as king. Presidents often want to be kings once they get enough power, they'll try put their family & sons in positions of leadership. I think monarchy is a default setting for most nations.

    To Wongel Zelalem:
I don't have anything against the monarchy, us black people, we have kings in Africa and even in the Caribbeans we used to have kings. You must understand that not every country runs well with a president or prime minister. Secondly, sometimes in certain countries, if you are a president your power will be equivalent to the power of a king because some presidents are tyrannical and remain in power decades after their mandate is over. My only problem with the British crown is the fact that they enslaved and committed many atrocities against black nations and never gave reparation to those black nations. But again, even if the UK was governed by a president or a prime minister, their actions towards African and Caribbean people would be the same.

Hi Wongel, there are people in Ethiopia that want to bring back the Ethiopian monarchy. Monarchy has some benefits like consistency & long-term stability. Monarchy is not democratic but the people's voice has never been mute throughout history & wise monarchies know that. I wouldn't mind seeing an Ethiopian Emperor again but I'm not sure what Ethiopians would want. Democracy can work alongside monarchy or a constitutional monarchy. Many monarchies today are better than democracy. In a corrupt land, democracy is sometimes the worse option.

Many know their history (they are German and changed their name to English sounding to fit in) , to the point they mock them. When the late Queen died ohh mate, the insults were brutal.
