The sky is dark blue, little white dots scattered. The birds are quiet, the leaves are quiet, just like how you had wanted it. Silent, alone, yet unsettling. You wanted so badly to be wrapped in a cocoon of silence and solitude when you got home, away from all the problems. Yet you never had realized what it would be like without the people who understood you. You had never realized it would be so hard to keep yourself together when you were alone.
Small, wet, crystals pour from your eyes. Short beeps as you dial a number into your phone. Long minutes as you wait.
“Hey.” That familiar, lovely voice is speaking to you. A long exhale of joy, a long hug, a long time of happiness. The only person you had ever wanted to stay, was right here.
