I’m pretty sure Apple can tank any devices they got stolen anyway, assuming you weren’t stopped from leaving with it by a security guard before that
This is also true for south korea. Most of the devices on display aren't connected. Honesty is also a big thing here 😀
When I lived in Japan near Tokyo I once saw a one hundred yen coin on the ground. People would walk by and look at it but never pick it up. They knew it wasn't theirs so they simply left it. I could never imagine something like that happening in almost any other country
Apple could disable their devices in the shop making them expensive paper weight. They could also track it too.
For touristy areas, it's a different story.
Someone stole my walking cane right beside the Lost & Found booth (which I checked every hour) at Universal Studios in Osaka, and I just KNOW it's a tourist that stole it.
All of those phones would be gone under 5 minutes in the US. That’s crazy. Respect.
Every time one of those devices is unplugged a red light goes up in the control room and you are being watched.
I didn’t know Apple Store in Japan, there are not any restrictions when you pick up any products.
This kind of making me surprised because when I went Apple store in Bangkok, Thailand, I touched iPhone and tried to take off charging cable then it rung some restrictions and staff came up to me and told me try not to do taking off charging cable.
Went to a cafe (cafe soiree) 1st day i arrive in Kyoto. Left my wallet with $3000 (I just arrive in Japan!!!). Retraced my steps and after 3 hrs remembered. Went back...thay had it wrapped in a bag & kept it in register. LOVE Japan & Cafe Soiree (kissaten).
I love this ❤
My partner lost her phone in Kyoto castle and 30 mins later it showed up at the police station and they verified her identity with her passport as we were tourists and they gave us back the phone after verifying that her biometrics worked to unlock it
It also helps that display products only work in the store. But, yeah, in the States even the display models are tethered to the table. Sigh.
"Japan is so safe😇😇 these phones are attached."
Also japan *potentially getting gropped on crowded trains*
It also is the same in Dubai when I went there❤
I’m glad I live in Japan 🇯🇵 ❤
Love the re4 jacket
Love that thumbnail of this video.
I accidentally left my keys in my Bugatti when I was visiting my mansion just outside Tokyo and someone actually drove it to me to return it. How thoughtful!
When I lived in china this was almost the same. Many a time I forgot stuff in public places only for police to bring it to my house or just go back and find it well kept.
Sending a cousin to Japan to steal all of this. There are always bad actors. - Some dude
We will never see this happen in the States 😅. You can't even pickup the phone anymore at some stores. Its literally glued on 😅
You don't have to name the country that it's not possible in, I will. It's the USA lol
It’s more of a certain population in America that makes it not possible
Or France, Kenya, Indonesia, Brazil, Canada, et cetera
@@ABCowlyea Americans 😂
@@waldoiswhereEFC55 basketball americans maybe
@@waldoiswhereEFC55 No, it’s a certain population
It’s normal for people to go into a casual restaurant, place their purse on their seat and to save it and then go order, use the restroom etc with their bag unattended
Certain countries🇺🇸🇺🇸
Truly an amazing country!
🇯🇵 ❤ 👍
In America, a store with such a setup would be cleaned out in under 5 minutes 😂
if this is mizoram there won’t even be store worker they’ll just put QR code for payment and leave it like that
They probably have a setting where if they leave the Apple Store, the alarm goes off
So incredibly safe getting stalked by strange men😂
I always watch your videos. I want to live in japan sooooo bad. Im going to visit one day. Lol
Japanese are racist
As female solo traveler, I walked around during 10pm, no one harassed me. Very safe.
Apple Store in Singapore is like that too.
Meanwhile, in my country, if you left your slipper for just a moment, somebody will stole it
Target in the US locks up the underwear and soap in a cabinet that staff has to open. 😂
There are ninjas hiding near every device 🥷
It’s a culture and respect thing. Something a lot of western countries don’t have.
When your culture is built on being honorable, you create paradise
No, there is a dark side as well. Phenomena such as hikikomori. Japan also has a high suicide rate.
There are downsides to honor cultures as well. Quite a few videos up talking about the challenges faced by the Japanese.
Look without camera all over the place, without credit points and shaming everyone who have low credit and some sht a country can be this amazing some county need to learn
Haven't heard of the disappearing umbrellas 😂
The thing is you need a civilise society which is nurtured from the start in a rigid discipline manners. Trust society is not magically happen . Some countries based on disciplines manner and helpful mindset while other using strict law and heavy surveillance .
If you want people to be good and mind others, then you also need to be good and mind others.
