Honestly, I would live in that outhouse lol yes but no lol its amazing, you did a great job! Edit, everything is so well thought out, from the solar lights to the black pipes to solar heat the water. Amazing use of space!
great job Jenn, so different since the last time I saw it. Great idea about the filter,. I was wondering about the fan for your vent, is it on a timer? thanks, take care , Bob
@@TheWildYam I *HIGHLY* recommend using sealed (AGM) batteries for your application, Jen. That's what I use, and they are perfect for indoor use. They can be installed in any position, too, and require NO maintenance. Good luck with the project!!
We have a cabin like yours with a really old outhouse (we are just south of you in Ontario). We usually go home after 2 days max because we don't have the means to truly wash. This would be ideal for us. Do you have any sources for plans for this type of 'outhouse'? Did you need a permit? Also how do you deal with the mosquitoes!!? They are so horrible this year. ;-)
A comfortable place to sit and think. In Australia, they call outhouses a dunny, not sure why but a good name nonetheless. I recently went camping with a Canadian expat friend, and he referred to the camp site outhouse as a kybo - which is something I remembered from my scouting days back in Canada. So many names for a basic human requirement need.
That is a dope ass outhouse. Almost makes me wanna try it out for a week just so I know what I’m not missing. 😂 very cool though 🤟🏼 Btw, I searched for “biggest outhouse in the world”. 😮
This is nice and love the setup. I have a 12 acres and my house is at the front of the property where is the road is, which I want to build a bathroom with shower in the back of my property. It be perfect to use restaurant and shower if needed after maintenance the property and guest can use it too without going into my house. Only thing im trying decide and how to setup for the toilet as black tank and let the septic company come out and clean it or connect to my septic in the back. Any suggestion?
Thank you very helpful tips as I’m setting up my off the grid cabin. The insurance tips were just super. Curious how many watts your winter solar panels are on the old house? 50 each??
I'm impressed you really do jump in with both feet and do a project correctly! Nice clean setup.
🙂👍
Thanks so much. The hard work was worth it.
A throne room fit for a Queen!! Nice job!!
Lol! Thanks. It is a pretty sweet set up.
I live off grid and use a Natures Head composting toilet. I use a solar powered fan on end of the vent pipe.
That is truly amazing. It’s far beyond calling it an outhouse. Nice job building and planning.
Thanks. It's a game changer to have something like this out here
Awesome job with the outhouse have a great day
Thanks, Wallace! It really makes such a difference. Also nice in winter, too. Might do a propane heater in here, too. We'll see.
Great setup CJ, now get that barrel painted lol 👍😃✌️
Hahaha!! Will do LB.
You have a very well thought out system for waste handling, power and water. Nice job! Your pride is well earned!
GM! What a fun thing to do- I am impressed w your outhouse! Hugs to Royce! Thanks for sharing! ❤️😎🐾🐾
The decorating is still in progress. It's so nice to have running water that's a bit cleaner and to be out of the bugs.
Great decorating on the outhouse . Makes it a pleasure to go .
Yes! No bugs and no cold drafts. Thanks for watching.

Totally. I thought of making a bunkie like this with a fold down bed and a bathroom area. It would work. Thanks for watching
@@TheWildYam a Murphy bed would be great!

Hey Bob! Currently runs all the time. Will be wiring it in a bit differently soon, to be on a switch for off and on like the light
@@TheWildYam 👌😊 right on, thanks
Jen you and your partner did a great job on the out house.
👍👍❤
Wow, Jen. Nice "outhouse!" LOL You have more solar panel power than I have for my house backup! Note to self: get more panels! Thanks for the tour!
I'm thinking of more panels for the cabin now. First, I have to change out the cabin batteries as they are quite old. Thanks for watching.

Morning!

Such an interesting comment. I had no idea there were so many names for it. Thanks for sharing!

I didn’t know you had an out house. It’s pretty sweet that you do.
It's great!
Looks amazing!
I forgot how awesome your outhouse is!! 👍😎🇨🇦💫
It is luxury off the grid!

Awesome, informative video
God would be proud to use that outhouse:)
LOL! Thanks for watching. Have a great rest of the weekend.
Nice set up. In the summer, how would you keep the shower or sink water from getting too hot?
I would shade part of the tubing. Warmer showers are between 2-5pm. It cools down fast after that.

Yam, you have rewritten the definition of an "outhouse."
Thank you.
