I'm really close to expert right now with Noctowl, Medicham, and Hypno. Hypno has confusion, ice punch, focus blast, and medicham had counter, dynamic punch, psychic. Noctowl just has its Wing Attack, Sky Attack, Shadow Ball moveset.

I wish normal types resisted fairy moves. It would help them be a little more viable.
Still love the Hypno double dark team or Nido double dark team. Kinda same team with different leads but old teams with new adaptations feele always good
I’ve been running Charizard lead the last week so it’s only right that I’ve seen nothing but basti and pancake leads haha
I swept this team with Shadow Nidoking in one of my sets today. I got it aligned on Umbreon after taking shields early on in the match and then it was nuke city

Funnily enough I started running Charizard, Goon, and Purified Alolan Raticate a couple days ago. It did very well, I had a 73% win rate with it.
Didn’t know azumarill was banned in ogl, very nice strategy to “choose a pick that wall you and pray to don’t face this pick” ggs

Hey I ran this team for a while earlier and as soon as I saw a bunch of azumarils then I just switched to nidoqueen team to counter it 😂😅

Love the idea but anything weak to water and not covering it correctly is just gonna have problems in a meta swamped in lanturn, swampert et al

I'm not saying there is an algorithm, but I'm running a similar flyer, double dark team (noctowl, scrafty, shiftry) and I'm not getting nearly as many favorable matchups. I havent seen one bastiodon in the back or grass mons. Just a lot of charmers, ice types and medichams. Similar elo.
I’m fully convinced there is an algorithm lol. I’ve ran teams with consistent bad leads and as soon as I adjust lead I immediately get counters to that lead
@Jay Courtel lol yeah, I just did 3 sets with the same team I mention above and won 13 out of 15. I guess the algorithm decided to throw me some ELO gains since I've only lost ELO the past 3 days.
@@jaycourtel4478same here i gained 250 elo with one team ad another day got countered every single match when i switched to 2-3 teams again got countered every single time

Impossible to explain it in just a comment, but in a nutshell (I'm not completely sure I've got it right, I've never really been this much into pvp, I recommend you to go watch any video explaining it): the attack stat is the one that influences the most the CP of a pokemon. Thus, the higher the attack, the sooner it reaches 1500 CP and the lower health and defense will be; the lower the attack, the higher health and defense stats will be before reaching 1500 CP. It turns out into pokemon being more bulky, but losing CMP (specially in mirror fights). Most legend rank players and competitive players use low attacks pokemons so I guess it must be worth it.

Good potential in the UL (where obstagoon is bulky), bad in GL where Obstagoon is not bulky
If you build a team around the move alone its decent but not crazy

Putting Psychic on Umbreon is the way to go. It covers more Pokemon in the meta right now with a small chance of debuff.
