Serious question, though. Help me settle this. When you're done eating cereal, do you toss the leftover milk, or are you a complete weirdo and drink the nasty leftover cereal soup?
It depends. If it's a sugary cereal, (fruit loops, lucky charms, frosted flakes) I wouldn't drink the milk. But if the cereal was plain, (Rice Krispies, corn flakes, wheaties) I would probably drink the milk.
the finish is actually a paintjob. they paint it black first, then tape the tigerstripes off, spray it in the color (either yellow, green, or purple), take the masking tape off and sand it down to achieve the satin finish. the paintjob is a major pricedriving factor on these.
This may have been your best play-through/intro song. The guitar sounds great and the mix is great. It doesn’t sound like modern-metal chug (too much) and you get an idea of what it sounds like. Low tuned, high gain tones always kind of start to sound the same to my ears. Great stuff!
you can get satchel's old guitar Kramer Pacer Vintage tiger stripe for 759, Korean made, has the Floyd Rose 1000, Seymour Duncan JB and 59 pickups and it comes with a hard case. The non tiger stripe ones are ones 5-600 bucks
Imo, the best feeling neck on the market. Charvels combination of a Modern C with the hard rubbed oil finish, 10-16 Rad and raw maple fretboard with rounded edges. The fret size and clean edges. I haven't played a Charvel that didn't feel fantastic.
I think that was the intention. The 80s Tiger Stripe paint job is more of a homage I'd say, especially since George Lynch is probably a massive influence on Satchel.
Weirdly, Charvel DOES do a contoured neck joint on the Joe Duplantier signature - and Joe is not even known as a player who often uses the upper frets.
Very nice review! Came across your video after seeing the green one at a local pawn shop (where I pick up all my Franken/Partscasters) priced at $800. I had never even considered buying a Charvel before, and I certainly didn't think this one would be my entry to the brand (I've always been so traditional; the most outrageous guitar I owned before, spoiler, I bought this was a Jackson SL2Q MAH in the Winterstorm finish. I don't even like Flying V's as they're "too flashy" for me). The guy at the store handed this one to me and said, "Try it out, maybe you'll like it." I plinked and plonked for almost an hour through some GA-10 trash amp, but this guy blew me away. Neck profile felt tailored for me, and that satin finish plus the Fluence pickups sealed the deal for me. 9/10 Well worth the irritated retinas!
Idk what you were talking about when you said you shouldn't be making this video. The small amount of shredding you did was bad ass. Not only that but I think that was the best tone you've ever had.

Yes a lynch fan!!! I feel like no one knows who he is anymore. I wanted the charvel purely because I couldn't afford the m1 haha. I just have no idea why they didn't make it gloss because thats what satchel plays live and all 80s guitars were gloss.

Satchel more or less ripped off the George Lynch ESP M-1 Tiger.
