- Hi Everyone! Thanks for stopping by. If you enjoyed my ramblings please like and subscribe so we can hang out again!
If this is your first time, my name is Laura and I am always wearing my frugal pants! We are a family of 4 with one coming in April. We have too many pets to count who often make an appearance in some way.
On this channel you will find food pantry hauls, cook with me videos, organizing and food prep. I am beyond awkward and ramble a little too much but hope this is your style and you keep coming by!
New Subscriber!! Yes....if you need help with food security Please go to food pantries ❤ I help with distribution to seniors once a month and it's such a blessing to serve them. I also get blessed with whatever is leftover. It helps my family tremendously.
What a wonderful service you are doing for them. I was a CNA for 5 years and they have a special place in my heart.
Nice haul like the muffin and congrats on the baby cute baby.☃️👍☃️💯☃️😋☃️👏☃️💓☃️🍀☃️🎈☃️💃☃️🌍☃️
Thank you! 🤗
I freeze my bread and anything else I can fit in the deep freezer until I need it. Lol.
I need to freeze some. I mead bread crumbs last week I had so much!
Our church pantry used to get damaged groceries from Hy-Vee but no more. We were told they have to donate to Harvesters Food Bank now.
Bummer!
If you can’t figure out what to do with all those onions you could always plant them.
Nice haul, your daughter is so precious!
Thank you! She's definitely as into everything as she is cute 🤣
Those are my fave pickles and they truly are so expensive. My 10yr old is crazy about any pickle haha so they don’t last long.
It's crazy how good Pickles cost so much more!
Hi Laura Your little girl is adorable I understand you're anxiety of the birth of the baby next month so.much to do so little time .The food haul was not bad at all and I'm sure you will utilize every bit making tasty meals the chicken with sweet potatoe fries sounds yummy. Well you take Care and try to give you some grace. God Bless
Thank you!! I appreciate your words. I know in reality not much is really needed in prep for her coming home but it my mind I keep finding things I need to do.
I live in Arizona have been for 46 years and not one time (where i live) have they ever charged for a food box. But it is possible in other parts of AZ
That's great! I am thankful we don't have to pay but am sad for those who do.
Great haul!
I have watched you before, but I do hope that you are a reseller and that pyrex is yours. I would be selling that stuff, it's worth money. I don't know your situation at all and am not in judgement of you. You have to do what is right for you. However, just an idea to come up with extra side money hustle start selling stuff around the house. We have been very fortunate that we don't have small children and we can hustle and do things to make extra cash even though we are a lot older than you. Make sure your hubby gets a lot of rest, and doesn't feel to much pressure, they can't keep just working all the time. He has to have joy in his life also.
I like to move my dehydrator into the garage when I dehydrate onions. I have also found that if I chop onions and freeze them, then dehydrate them, they don’t smell as strong while dehydrating. I also just use the chopped onions straight out of the freezer for cooking. Hope these ideas help with that big bag of onions.
I cannot wait to have an attached garage. We rent a house that no one had cared about for years. It is actually 100 years old this year! Our garage isn't car friendly...or really suitable for much. But my dream is having a connected garage one day since we live in the snow.
Thanks for the tips!
Very good food haul
Yes, when I lived, in AZ, they charged for food boxes. It was crazy there.
I wonder why it is different there? Food will still be tossed if not given to food banks from grocery stores. Very interesting.
I buy those pickles every week for my son. They are 9.98 for 1 container so that's a big saving for you.
DANG! That's crazy they are so expensive!
You can freeze bread .Take out night before you need it .❤
Thank you!
Hi Laura. New subscriber here. Pleased to meet you. I am currently working in West Virginia and there is no taxes on food.
Welcome!! I am from CA and no food tax there either. I was so confused the first time I bought something here. It was a $0.99 drink and I handed her $1 and could not understand why I owed her more money. She thought I was nuts!
dehydrate the pickles too and make pickle powder for popcorn
Oh, great idea!
Pyrex 😍😃
Other than glasses, its my one addiction and thing I collect. I can't really add to it right now but I love to just sit and look at it!! HAHAHA
If you cant give it away dehydrate it(bread) and use for breadcrumbs
I saw someone make pickled red onions to put on sandwiches and salads.
That sounds great! Before I had my older girl I wasn't a huge fan of onion on sandwiches. When I was pregnant with her I craved it and realized I love it!
@@FrugalPants It's funny how that happens. When I was pregnant with one of my son's, I craved salami and mustard on toast. Never liked it before or after. But when he was old enough to eat sandwiches, that is what he asked for on his sandwiches. Your doing a great job with your channel and your family. Hang in there, it gets easier. Mine are all grown. But it's fun to watch your channel and remember those days.
Chicken cordon Bleu is swiss ham and chicken with mayo
How many pair of glasses do you?
Too many :) I have been collecting for 8ish years!
Takis are a dangerous food , I would highly recommend to limit the amount they eat .
Oh, I need to research this. I personally hate them.
How many children do u have new to ur channel
Hi Kim! I have 2 girls, 10 and 16 months, as well as one coming in 1 month!
