I’m still watching but I must say, the quote from Cartwright in the beginning is so relatable. When I left adventism I made a video about the "doctrinal" reasons why I was leaving. SDAs accused me of "just wanting to wear jewelry", "just wanting to eat Pork and be worldly". My entire family is SDA and my dad has been a preacher in this denomination for over 40years… I wasn’t thinking about eating pork., trust me. It was so silly to see a new face to Adventists that were always typically so "nice", now they were calling me an agent of Satan as I was sharing scriptures and explaining how God revealed the truth to me. After 28years of believing this was God’s church, God opened my eyes. We were like zealous Paul who persecuted Christians. Much courage to everyone finds the true gospel and decided to be bold and share it with SDAs, it’s not easy.
A lot of respect for Pastor Chris who let go off his paycheck so that he can defend the Gospel of Jesus wish more SDA leaders could be honest to admit that their theology is wrong
I asked my sda friend what is the gospel. The response was: Jesus is coming soon. I said, that’s not the gospel, that’s not the good news. If you’re not saved, the fact that Jesus is coming soon is a bad news for you. Anyway, I have to say how much I love these kind of interviews. I love to hear how others left sda. It’s always a blessing.
This was such a great interview! I am so proud of Chris for being willing to share his story and I pray that it touches the heart of those who are searching and looking and struggling with the fear, leaving all that they know behind for the One who is everything. And as a social worker I really, really appreciate that he’s taking the next step to, bring counseling to those who have been scarred by the evil system of the SDA institution. I also pray that his ministry is blessed and reaches many.
Thank our wonderful Lord that Chris so it for it was. There is no born again experience in the SDA church. I pray for these beautiful people to get out from this cult.
I have to listen still but want to comment that it takes tremendous courage to speak out.. while in the Adventist bubble it’s seen as slander and apostasy and coming after the brethren.. the truth is that for many that leave they face distancing, accusations and severed relationships of a large scale especially if you’ve gone to mostly Adventists schools and most if not your entire social network and family is Adventists. Word to the wise.. consider dear Adventist what he’s saying.. pray and diligently study the Word. If it wasn’t for a close relative of mine that showed me clear scripture and the enormous times EGW Contradicted the Bible I would’ve never seen the truth. 🙏🏽
Why has everything Chris said about what lead him to start questioning Adventism is what has opened the door for me as well?!!!! For me it’s many conversations with my late father in law, the book of Romans, but really, the whole New Testament, and the podcast with the Perry’s that is starting to open my eyes.
Because The Spirit of ABBA GOD is not in SDA, I can count on 1 hand the number of SDA’s I have known that actually have relationship with JESUS ! I heard more Ellen White say’s than I heard Bible, they would quote Patriarch’s and Prophets - The Great Controversy, Steps To Christ, Testimonies to the Church, Early Writings and have raging arguments about who was right 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Just started watching. And it's already just been so cathartic--which is weird because I've been out since 2001. Specifically, it was your comments about "basking" in the gospel in your intro. Arthur and I were battling so furiously when we left with Adventism that we never got to sit down and bask in the glory of CHRIST winning the battle for us! We need to celebrate and bask in this glory and yet so many of our family and friends are telling us we're hell bound and have given up the truth that it's very difficult. Then next the quote by (shoot, can't remember his name.... Ballanger?) Anyway, I've read his book before but just focusing on that quote of the pain of leaving is so very true. It seems more true now looking back, than when we first came out. We have a higher place to look back and see how true that was. Also, I have met Adventists who left because of someone hurting them, but they return quickly when they are reconciled.
Out over 10 years now and I'm still ask '' who hurt you? " and when I say EGW, I always get the deer in the headlights look. I read everything! she wrote and man! was it eye opening, meat eating is a sin, coffee drinking (that they serve in their hospitals) is a sin, forgetfulness is a sin, you lose favor with God if you keep a dirty house, wearing wig will drive you crazy and on and on, claiming this is all from God. I tell those that ask that, I grew a brain and started thinking and reading the Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit. NOW!!!!!! I'm saved.
Agree! How about the procedures they do in their hospitals to un alive babies! I worked in a catholic hospital and they refused to allow that! SDA hypocrisy! Glad you got out.
The first red flag for me was the sabbath will be the seal of God and Sunday worship will be the mark of the beast and I said voetsek I need to test EGW And I ran from this cult
Great video as usual. It's always great to have guests. It really shows that SDA do have extra biblical influence. Someone I know who is SDA and told me there is a movement of people who want "less" of Ellen White as she was listening to a sermon that relied heavily on her. I tried to explain to her that the people that uphold her wrtings are the ones that are in line with SDA thgeology and that removing EGW is losing the proof that they are the remnant church. SDA theolofgy is very heavy. I visited an evangelical church and when I read their confession of faith, it was very simple with only a few articles, with I agree with. To be SDA is to believe the 28 complicated fundamental beliefs.
Adventists have to literally skip over clear scripture to maintain their stances on sabbath, salvation by grace and food laws It’s like they cover their ears and yell ‘lalalala’ when you read these scriptures to them. It’s amazing how an otherwise intelligent person can get theology so wrong.
To SDA or their cousins: Ellen > Jesus. Or Taze Russel > Jesus or Joe Smith > Jesus. If they would read the Bible without the influence of those apostate false prophets, they would understand it.
What clear Scripture are you talking about? You have clear scripture over God's grace giving permission to break God's commandments? Let's see these "clear" verses. Food laws?
Well said! It's funny (but sad at the same time) how adherents to Sadventism can demand to see the clear Scripture, yet when it is presented to them, they twist themselves into pretzels trying to explain the plain truth away. For example just a couple of the Scriptures that anyone who is both literate and has one shred of honesty would confirm completely abolish dietary restrictions for anyone who follows Christ are: "So He said to them, 'Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?'" (Mark 7:18-19) "Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him. Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; [a]and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks." (Romans 14:1-6) I'm sure Sadventists (including the ones in this comment thread, if they bother to respond at all) will try to explain these Biblical proofs away so they can continue feeling as if they are better than real Christians and feeling as if they are justified in slandering real Christians. Any non-Sadventist, though, will see the truth and avoid the trap!
@DamonNomad82 If you are dying to eat bacon and ribs that is on you. God said don't it because it is unhealthy. It eats crap and you eat it. You are what you eat... Not healthy. Not a salvation issue in my mind, just disobedience. I am saying, did Christ's death on the cross grant you permission to sin? Keeping the commandments of God out of love makes me a "SADventist"? I don't see it that way and the Bible tells me, neither does God, in fact the opposite. This group is toxic and evil.
Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. John 5 24 this verse is the one that sealed the deal for me. This proves SDAs wrong on so many points.
When I was 17 and a new Christian and a firebrand, I had a job delivering pizza . Every Saturday night a white bus would stop to fill up at a gas station across the way from the pizza shop where I worked. It was the ‘ Moonie “ bus headed north to Boonville California. The pizza shop was 40 miles north of San Francisco where the Moonie cult leaders captured runaway young people. The Moonies love bombed the captives who were starved for love. The leaders hated me because I tried to get the teenagers off the bus. I preached the gospel message to the literal captives on the bus. I never was successful getting even one person to get off the bus and not continue north to the Moonie cult compound. Chris was love bombed by non Christian demonic cultists - Adventists.
The only real difference between Moonies and Sadventists is that the Moonies were founded about a century later on the opposite side of the world. The end result of being either one is about the same...
Check out the William Johnson and Walter Martin debate from the Ankerberg show and see how they went after pastors just asking questions. Also, look at the comments there and here and you will find Cainright was absolutely spot on.
At the 1:00 mark Myles’ comment about grace is worth the price of admission. Myles is teaching about the Adventist language barrier, and their definition of terms. Myles says Adventists view grace as an enabling force. Here is Ellen from The Great Controversy page 425: “ Through the grace of God and their own diligent efforts they must become conquers in the battle with evil.” So much is talked about ( Myles is a firehose of info) this gem can be overlooked. Is there any more previous concept in Christianity than grace? Adventists can’t even get grace. My understanding is grace is simply undeserved favor. If you have a more in-depth definition please share it.
1:50:33 EGW PP stating Abraham passed through the cut animals??? Another Bible contradiction 🤯 ABRAHAM WAS ASLEEP biblically. God alone passed through the cut animals as an indication of his faithfulness in the covenant he did with Abraham.. good grief! No wonder in Adventism we don’t understand covenant theology someone literally needs to comb through her “prophetic” writings to see how many times she places man to work with God’s work for salvation.. this presentation is so insightful. I pray our ministers listen. That appeal at the end from Chris was 🔥 I can see the hurt in his eyes and the burden for fellow Adventists. God bless you brother!
Correct, she did. “The Lord condescended to enter into a covenant with His servant, employing such forms as were customary among men for the ratification of a solemn engagement. By divine direction, Abraham sacrificed a heifer, a she-goat, and a ram, each three years old, dividing the bodies and laying the pieces a little distance apart. To these he added a turtledove and a young pigeon, which, however, were not divided. This being done, he reverently passed between the parts of the sacrifice, making a solemn vow to God of perpetual obedience. Watchful and steadfast, he remained beside the carcasses till the going down of the sun, to guard them from being defiled or devoured by birds of prey. About sunset he sank into a deep sleep; and, “lo, a horror of great darkness fell upon him.”-Patriarchs and Prophets, pg. 137 (PP 137.1) She has him sleeping AFTER passing through the cut animal which contradicts scripture. May God wake up many Seventh-day Adventists.
@@answeringadventism amen! Thanks for what you’re doing Myles. We want truth, my family and I, more than friends, relationships, money and anything else. Thank you Chris how you said don’t be afraid.. follow Jesus! Follow what his word says. God bless you brothers.
@@answeringadventismsheesh what a quote🤦🏻♂️ this has to be one of the most subtle and therefore one of the most evil twists I’ve ever seen her put on scripture.
Can I explain? We can both agree that the Bible does not contain every detail that occurred, but we can use other texts to fill in the blanks. Looking at Jeremiah 34:18-19 we see that the covenant ceremony required everyone participating in the covenant to pass through the cuts. So it is safe to assume that although it wasn't mentioned Abraham did indeed pass through the cuts. But you might say, "No, the Bible only mentioned Jehovah passing through the cuts as a symbol of only God being under obligation, and not Abraham", but that is simply not true. It would be necessary for Abraham to pass through the cuts since he was promising obedience to God. The first covenant found in Genesis 12:1-3 required him to leave his country (obedience), he also had to follow the command of circumcision (obedience), and he also was tested by the attempted sacrifice of his son (obedience). So although God was making a covenant with Abraham, Abraham was also making a covenant of obedience to God. Which is why James 2:20-22 says that Abraham was justified by faith + works. So in summary, EGW is not wrong, because based on Jeremiah 34:18-19 Abraham did pass through the cuts first (God first requires consecration from us, before He delivers on His eternal promises), and by showing his act of obedience God followed and also passed through the cuts. Love you all, let's keep reading our Bibles!
@ I appreciate you taking the time to voice your perspective. But the Bible is clear. Only God passed thru the pieces. The Covenant was unilateral; just like the New Covenant. This is in start contrast to the Sinai Covenant which was clearly bi-lateral. Ellen added to the text (per usual) and her additions completely change the meaning of the story (also per usual). If this was a one off I could look passed it, but this is Ellen’s typical M.O.
In my observations, it appears that many, many SDAs consider "defectors" The Enemy, especially if they are not able to shame or scare the Wandering Lambs back in short order. Some exceptions are a few sane friends and some relatives.
Your observations are correct! That isn't unique to Sadventists, though. Mormons, JWs and many other "Sadventist adjacent" groups feel the same way about "defectors" from their groups. Some individuals even within legitimate churches feel the same way about those who leave their churches.
I was an ordained elder when I left and had dozens of friends in the SDA church, NONE! of them will even speak to me now. I have even heard that they tell others I joined satan. Kinda sad but I'm right with God and that's what counts.
1:41:15 Bingo!! I’ve said this same thing while reviewing the matter of the seal.. like hello what are we saying! Is the sabbath a greater seal than the Holy Spirit. Even if, for arguments sake, both were the seal; which seal would be the one we should encourage ppl to be in; the seal of the Holy Spirit, or the Sabbath. Keeping in mind that if the Sabbath is the seal than our salvation is definitely works based, if you’re not keeping the 7th day sabbath than you cannot be sealed; regardless of your faith in the finished work of our Messiah.
Great video. My experience in various non-SDA churches is that everyone needs to read the Bible in context. In my experience, different churches are off in different ways. Just as the understanding of the seal of God affected many things, one's understanding of salvation and the gospel affects understanding of the Old and New Testament.
@@BillTony2 this is true, no one is immune from mishandling the Bible. The problem for the SDA church, though, is their outlandish and grandiose claims regarding having a monopoly on the gospel and truth. Protestants are not making such claims.
Jesus Christ established the Catholic Church in 33AD. It is attacked precisely because it is the one true church. It never attacks other churches or religions. With the authority Jesus conferred on it, and with divine guidance from the Holy Spirit who revealed ONE truth, the Catholic Church assembled the Bible over centuries and canonised it in 382AD. This is the same divine authority it has its sole interpreter for Christian doctrine. Many Protestants promote falsehoods about the 2,000 year old Catholic Church. When they learn the truth and discover a relationship with Christ closer and more beautiful than anything they had experienced before, they convert. Teachings from Jesus and the apostles passed on and documented by the early church including those who knew the apostles and were taught by them in the 1st century. Not a modern misinterpretation. 2,000 years of wisdom and truth.

Just like a human government traffic law has a fine connected with the over speeding law to show drivers that they will break the speed law sooner or later, so was the Ten Commandments. In Exodus 20:25-26 God commanded for Moses to make an altar to offer the required offerings, meaning that sooner or later the people will break the commandments thus they have to pay with their offerings. Moreover God required that the altar be made of natural stones and not hewn stones to indicate that only what God has created will be accepted as a picture of God's grace in order for sinners to be counted right with God.
This is so great. I really enjoy listening to so many Adventists and former Adventists because they help me better understand how to show Adventists Christ. Since I don't really have anyone to speak with about this, I will kinda work things out in my head in comments, hoping that God will send someone to correct me if I'm wrong or anyone who just likes to talk about these things. So, you asked Christopher if he believes Adventism is a Christian church. While to me, a much more important question is: who gets to assign what is Christian and what is not? I personally don't think we should ever have opinions about that. God's opinion is the only one that matters and anything we say is just a guess, and I'm not sure we are supposed to be guessing about what denomination is or is not Christian. Having written that, I do think we can safely say that some SDA doctrines fall in line with historic Christianity. And some are so far out there that they can be said to be heretical, false and antichrist. While Adventists can be saved within Adventism, God is saving them DESPITE Adventism, not because of it. And actually, while that may sound harsh, that should make us love Christ even more, that while we were sinners (and I'm assuming that category includes heretics), He saved us. But that doesn't take the responsibility from us to move away from heretical and anti-Christian views.
Hello Myles I would appreciate if you could do an explanation of the book of Daniel and revelation Because what I see is you doing is refuting SDA's interpretation but you don't give a specific explanation for those books
I think she might have something in the many posts about Danial and Revelation. But the question is interesting. I noticed Adventists focus so much on Daniel and Revelation they miss the truth of the other 64 books of the Bible.
@@charnelallan7159The Bible never has nit content. Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
Faith, hope and love make a whole. They work together as components of one unit, and they abide forever, that is they will always stay that way. Take away one component and the unit breaks down and stops working or will work inefficiently. Without faith it is impossible to please God. But what is faith? faith is to be sure of things hoped for and faith is expressed through love. These three are interconnected. They are individually members of each other just like in the body of Christ we also are individually members of each other although we have our own individual characteristics. But the greater of the three is love which reminds me a bit of God the Father being the greater in spite of being one with the Son and the Holy Spirit. Philippians 4:20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it, we await a savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will change our lowly body to conform with his glorified body by the power that enables him also to bring all things under subjection to himself. I think that verse shows a view on the phase of eschatological salvation.

You guys are the fruit of the radical reformation, not the Protestant reformation. Your own scholars are on record stating this. Go check your homework again. “North American Protestantism of the nineteenth century was a child of the sixteenth-century Reformation. Many Adventists are aware of that fact but have mistakenly concluded that their church is an heir of those branches of the Reformation initiated by Martin Luther, John Calvin, or Ulrich Zwingli. While it is true that Adventist’s concept of salvation by grace through faith came through the mainline Reformers, the theological orientation of Adventism really finds itself most at home with what church historians call the Radical Reformation or the Anabaptists.”-GEORGE KNIGHT, SEARCH FOR IDENTITY: THE DEVELOPMENT OF SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST BELIEFS, PG. 30 He’s talking about people like you, Tony 😅

And we could never join a movement that has a false gospel that’s cursed by God. Belief about the condition of Hell and the nature of the soul doesn’t even come close to as important as having a false gospel. Being wrong about the gospel will damn you. Being wrong about the hell and the soul will not.
@ we believe that the millennium is for the world of mankind to come to God. The world is not being called by God right now. What about those who have never heard? What about the 10-year-old that just died?

Such a bright young man.
Adventists have to literally skip over clear scripture to maintain their stances on sabbath, salvation by grace and food laws
It’s like they cover their ears and yell ‘lalalala’ when you read these scriptures to them.
It’s amazing how an otherwise intelligent person can get theology so wrong.
yes even Jesus got it wrong right?
For example just a couple of the Scriptures that anyone who is both literate and has one shred of honesty would confirm completely abolish dietary restrictions for anyone who follows Christ are:
"So He said to them, 'Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?'" (Mark 7:18-19)
"Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things.
He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks." (Romans 14:1-6)
I'm sure Sadventists (including the ones in this comment thread, if they bother to respond at all) will try to explain these Biblical proofs away so they can continue feeling as if they are better than real Christians and feeling as if they are justified in slandering real Christians.
Chris was love bombed by non Christian demonic cultists - Adventists.
yes the demons are those that refuse to follow Christ and how He worshipped and taught
@@brmead3133Jesus kept the sabbath and taught keeping the commandments. Who is teaching the opposite here???
The only real difference between Moonies and Sadventists is that the Moonies were founded about a century later on the opposite side of the world. The end result of being either one is about the same...

At the 1:00 mark Myles’ comment about grace is worth the price of admission. Myles is teaching about the Adventist language barrier, and their definition of terms. Myles says Adventists view grace as an enabling force. Here is Ellen from
The Great Controversy page 425: “ Through the grace of God and their own diligent efforts they must become conquers in the battle with evil.” So much is talked about ( Myles is a firehose of info) this gem can be overlooked.
137 (PP 137.1)
She has him sleeping AFTER passing through the cut animal which contradicts scripture.
May God wake up many Seventh-day Adventists.

Hello Myles

Hello Myles - Can you post a "code-index" as to what it means when the little flags on your videos are in different places, please? Thanks.
The Sabbath seems to be a real problem, I wonder why? 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏽♀️
