You should surf in the Seaside cove or Shortsands (Oswald West). Seaside has a nice elevator (rip) on the left side along the rocks which means less paddling!

Woo-Hoo!! Ya finally made it to Oregon, and it's blowing like Hell out here right now!! Head just North, and hit up Hubbards Creek Beach, just South of Port Orford. Most consistent wave in Oregon. And just a bit further North, is Coos Bay, and here we have Bastendorf on Lighthouse Beaches. In for the WIN!!!

Somehow, you made that spot, in those conditions actually look do-able! I am really hoping you go up the road to the best left point in America, ignore the hype and session that spot. If anyone can do it, you're the guy. That spot is on my bucket list, for sure. Yeah boys!
BEN - Solving your upper back pain - I GOT YOU!!! Believe it or not, it comes from tight hips, caused by surfing, pretty sure it is from sitting on the board.. but either way, this is easy to fix, I get it often after a long surf session. There are 3 yoga poses that I do after a surf session that work miracles, right after the third pose I get an instant relief, totally gone... I got it from a Yoga for Surfing video back in the day (part 3 I think?). First is child's pose - hold it - then reach to the left 90 degrees, hold it, then reach to the right, hold it, and repeat all three at least once more. Child's pose stretches your back and going sideways stretches your lats and this feels great after a sesh.. Second is cat stretches (up and down) a couple times or so, breathing properly.. The third one I dunno what it is called, but it is similar to the "bridge pose" but you grab your ankles and put your feet a couple feet apart. Push your pelvis up as high as possible and hold. Then you try to pull your left knee down to the mid-calf of your right leg, hold, then put it back up, and then right knee down to your left mid-calf, hold, put back up, and hold with your pelvis back up as high as you can, then repeat a couple times or so. When you come back down from this pose, slowly, flattening your back on the floor, you might feel your upper back crack a few times as the vertebrae align with the floor. When this happens, and I stand up, it's like I'm a whole new person, feels amazing. Hope it helps, thanks for the stoke.

I used to have reoccurring nightmares about 1 shark ... like he would always try to get me, but I'd always catch a wave and make it to shore ... like a super stressful game ... but it was understood by both of us that one day he would finally get me ...

Sometimes the notion of a skull fracture from getting pitched onto rocks in ankle deep water is more appealing than the alternative of being the ball in a game of pitch and toss between a couple of Great Whites. you need to spenmd time at the gym, seated rows and pullups using the triangle bar will fix the issues in your upper back, you basically need to sisolate your traps and beat them up a bit . also in a pinch finding something to hang from will help stretch that area

I'm just getting back into surfing and bodyboarding after 12 years of not. 2 things stick out to me about your channel: Your stoke for any waves, none of this "Ah it's only waist high... fuck it I'm playing video games"; your positive attitude. Those two things really draw me to your channel. As a delmarva surfer it also helps that you show east coast spots too!!

Did you surf in Humboldt? There are so many novelties in that area it's stupid! When the swell gets big there are some spots that turn on heavy!
We passed through and checked a few waves, but I don't know the area..I needed a guide !!

I watch one video from you every day and your channel has grown on me. I'm just getting back into surfing and bodyboarding after 12 years of not. 2 things stick out to me about your channel: Your stoke for any waves, none of this "Ah it's only waist high... fuck it I'm playing video games"; your positive attitude. Those two things really draw me to your channel. As a delmarva surfer it also helps that you show east coast spots too!!
