I will always put my friends first when it comes to relationships and social interaction, but i will always put my career before my friends. Your friends are not going to pay your house or feed you, but a job will, always put your job first.
For me the list is very clear and simple
-Me
-My health
-My family (kids, partner, parents, siblings pets)
-The planet (I'm extremely, environment, animals rights, ecology oriented)
-My money (and whatever generates it)
-My friends
-My colleagues (although most of them are friends).
-The rest of the world.
Love Andrea Parker but wish she wasn't relegated to " gal pal #2 " or however she is credited here.
The first episode was pretty interesting but this two dates at the same time trope is overplayed.

Sorry but we are supposed to believe a VP investment banker making 250k/year loses everything when she gets fired? Lawyers maybe but high level finance professionals? Hell nooo, all of them by this point have million dollar portfolios on the side and it wouldn`t matter at all if they get fired or not.

I think she was living too much beyond her means and thought what could go wrong? Then it went wrong lol I have family members that try to keep up with the Jones and are in debt to maintain an image. I think the irony is she was an investment banker but didn't think to make any investments for herself lol
@@arson135 Hm, yes maybe they were going for some kind of irony but it is still absurd. People in that field know the value of money and how to preserve and grow it. Then again, there are actually people completely educated in Finance and refuse investing, so essentially complete morons. Just it is very hard to take it as plot, like I said, I am completely fine if she was some dumb big shot lawyer that doesn't know anything about Finance like in real life.
I get your point, but when you get a chance, pick up Tom Wolfe's Bonfire of the Vanities. There is a part early on where he lays out how his bond trader protagonist doesn't have two bits to rub together at the end of the year, despite hauling down 1 mil+ annually.

Ideally sure...but she grew up with domestics. Most kids like that don't have cooking skills.

Why not just be honest with her friend Dyna and tell her that she wants to meet that guy who might help her get the job she wants ? That's as simple as that . True friends understand career choices, you can't just blow away your entire life just to please your friends. I think Dyna is toxic, i think jennifer is way too stupid and complicated, and i think ALL the relationships between EVERY character in that ENTIRE show are all completely dysfunctional.
