  • If you sign hazmat shipping papers or the Hazardous Waste Manifest, you need hazmat training that meets US DOT standards found in 49 CFR 172.704.
    When you're the one who signs the shipping paper, it's your name on the line.

    I am a hazmat employee and my hazmat employer requires all drivers to sign their name in the shipper, carrier, and driver section of the BOL. Why is this? We didn’t manufacture the product, we don’t own the trucks that we drive, but the hazmat employer does.
