Musk miners might be a good hosting company, or maybe you have preferential treatment - however in my experience it’s well worth shopping around for hosting providers that don’t mark up their ASICS to extreme levels and allow you to buy externally. Don’t rush into a contract just cause a UA-camr told you so.

@@f.duarte5276 may you suggest other stores and hosting please? Thank you

You can 100% buy the machines from resellers much cheaper, but those resellers will not host the machine for you. You can also find hosts that will have the machines at lower costs, but they always have additional fees that Musk does not have. AND there has been an alarming number of these "cheaper" hosts that people have talked about in my comments that have either completely failed, had terrible uptime, had other problems, or been total scams. I've heard from lots of folks that initially went with the "cheap" host that they switched to Musk and were much happier (if they didn't lose their machines).
I will not pretend there are no other options out there that could potentially be cheaper AND better, but I have zero experience with them, and Musk Miners having a 3-4+ year track record and incredible support means a LOT to me if I am going to recommend them to people. I have not found any other host I can comfortably trust and recommend yet.
And to your last point: DUH. I literally say "Don't buy machines just because I am" in the video. AND at no point in this video am I telling anyone to do this. Like ALL my videos, this is a video of me sharing MY experience and investing decisions. If you get an idea from it, great. If you don't like the idea, great.

@@YourFriendAndy appreciate the vid, but saying you haven’t found other trustworthy option doesn’t mean they are not out there… you simply are happy with your choice and that’s fine. I’m been with 3 hosting companies and I think it’s good to have some diversification for better capital allocation and risk management.
I believe people should know that shopping around is worthwhile. There are MANY options out there DYOR people and think for yourselves

      @YourFriendAndy  4 місяці тому

@@f.duarte5276 And I appreciate the open and reasonable discussion! I did say in my previous comment that "I will not pretend there are no other options out there."
But like I said in another comment reply to you on a different comment, I have to balance that with what I recommend. Since I have an audience and I know that people will be swayed based on what I say (no matter if I tell them not to), it's hard for me to recommend something I have not tried and have no experience with.
So yes, anyone reading this, DYOR. If you find a better option that what I use that you are convinced will serve you well, go for it. Why would I have an issue with that? As always, I'm sharing what works for me and where I am willing to trust my money. Maybe that will change in the future!

@@YourFriendAndy would highly recommend getting the Bitmain K5S Pro (August batch) currently sitting under 11k - I don’t even want to guess what Musk is marking them up at. :) anyways many roads that lead to profit, everyone must put in the time and effort to achieve their own goals.
I urge people to stop letting the middle men take your profits… be bold and go directly to the source. Hosting has grown since a couple years ago… and you should too. Every has risks but the biggest one is not trying.
This is a fast paced market, keep your tap dancing shoes on and when it comes to Kaspa get the one that mines the most cause that halving cycle is nasty and more powerful units are coming out every day. Slow and steady doesn’t win here, and getting ripped off from a greedy middle man doesn’t help. Think different, get different results.

$8850 bucks for a miner that makes...around $20 a day (after paying min $0.10 KW) ...or you could buy a KS5L for $4800 bucks, shipped to USA new facility pay $0.08 KW and earn $35 a day after paying electrical. For the same price of one KS3 you could have almost bought TWO KS5L

      EDIT: I'm only paying $6 a day for hosting/electricity through Musk ($0.08kWh).
But the big reason I'm not doing what you suggest is something I explain in the video. I'm very hesitant to go with Iceriver units again. I'm also hesitant to jump into new facilities without a long track record. I've watched too many fail. If you want to take on that risk, that's obviously your decision! August Batch from Musk will be half the price of the ones they are currently selling (like pretty much everywhere). And Bitmain RARELY ships its batches on time. You are comparing to different things. And you will also pay tariffs direct from China. And again, the Musk machines will be wayyyyyy cheaper for later batches, like EVERYwhere else. You pay a premium to get it NOW.
Good luck getting it direct from China at that price right now. Every reseller than sends me price lists only offers those prices for later batches and again, Bitmain traditionally does NOT deliver those batches on time.
Your comparison is disingenuous and you're just spamming my comments. If you like a hosting company better, make your own video and share it. I have had a fantastic experience with Musk Miners so far and they have a great 3-4+ year track record. I won't recommend someone else who I have no experience with to my audience.

The KS5 Pro can be had for under $10.5k in August batch (and in August it will be cheaper) from sources direct from China with connection to bitmain and without extra taxes when shipped to the U.S.. I’m not selling, I’m not shilling I’m just saying… there is another reality out there if you’re willing to go find it.
So people out there DYOR, and stop making the middle man rich. The bread crumbs are out there if you are willing to put time in and find them.

      Your comparison was this:
      Musk miner: 24.5k
      Direct from China: 10.5k
And that's disingenuous. If you bought from Musk for an August batch (which again is often delayed), it will be around half the price of the $24K number. You are comparing two different things. You are comparing Musk's TODAY price with a resellers NEXT BATCH price.

@@f.duarte5276 "Stop making the middle man rich."
I dunno what to tell you. The host needs to make money. That's how a quality host actually gives you good support. They have people that have to get paid. It's a business. The differential on electricity costs that they make is NOT huge. Most hosts who do not upcharge on the machines, often do so with other fees. "Setup" fees, "maintenance" fees, etc. And many of them haven't been in operation for a long time.
Resellers don't have that problem. They don't need to think about maintenance, etc. They just dropship you a machine and take a tiny sliver of a margin and they are good. A successful host cannot do that.
If you go with a host that has cheap ASIC prices, just make sure you do the longer-term math on what any extra fees will cost you.
My opinion is also based on owning 30+ ASICs.
You say things like "I’m just being honest and whether you like it or not I think people can use their own brain and DYOR." Which is just further being disingenuous. I have stated several times I'm a very pro that too. I really do not care if someone goes with another host/etc (unless they get screwed). I am just presenting what works for me and why. You act like it's an affront or scam. And you've gotten many simple facts wrong. It's a crazy overreaction.
**EDIT: I don't want to keep spending time on this, but I'll leave this edit for anyone reading this exchange. The reply to this says "not sure why you’re surprised someone has a different opinion than yours"
I'm all for differing opinions and as a youtube I'm obviously not surprised by them. Different opinions show up by the thousands in my comments. But I will reply when you get the facts wrong or if you are being disingenuous... especially when you cannot even see that you are.**

Both KASPA OR ALPH are predicated to go up in price as for the coin, but idk if it’s too late to get into mining KASPA as ROI would be much longer than the ALO mining ALPH but at same time PROFITABILITY for ALPH is going down by the day, it was just at $15 / day with the AL0 last week now it’s like $10 a day . That’s still good but still that’s with the AL0 not being out yet and is pre order to come early September ish, idk, what do you think ? Should I grab the GOLDSHELL KA BOX PRO and mine KASPA , or the IceRiver AL0 and mine ALPH? Or just put that money into buying crypto or what ?

Depends on what "early" means to you. If you mean "early" as in "is buying a miner today earlier/better than waiting until Kaspa is $1+" then yes it's early.
If you mean "early" as in "will I get a crazy outsized reward for my time/money?" The answer is more a "yes" than a Bitcoin machine, but overall is a "no" compared to if you had started mining Kaspa 1+ years ago.

I wrote a reply to you, but when I tried to post it the comment you left was gone! Not sure if you deleted it or if youtube sniped it. Here was my response to buying KAS vs ASICS:
If ALL you are interested in is getting as much Kaspa as possible, then just buy it. You are guaranteed to get a specific amount based on the price today.
With mining I'm interested in several different angles:
      1) The hardware itself. In a world where Kaspa goes to $1-5 in the bull run, I have no idea what this hardware will be worth at that time. Could be worth the same or more (or less of course).
      2) They are trying to launch KRC20 tokens on Kaspa soon. There will potentially be a massive uptick in transaction fees if this actually launches and gets a bunch of use in the bull run. Miners will get those fees. Coin holders will not. I have no baseline for what these rewards could be like. If they go seriously crazy, I could stand to earn a LOT of Kaspa from this. Total unknown though.
      3) I have no idea when the bull run will actually kick off. I have no idea how long it will last. I have no idea how long I could keep these machines going. That's a lot of unknowns that make me interested in having a passive income source like these machines.
There other thoughts here too, but it's worth a gamble to me since I already have a pretty large Kaspa bag. But you should 100% do what you feel is right for you and not change your mind just because I'm doing something different. Best of luck!

I digress, so IF Kaspa actually does launch KRC20 that would be huge and would incentivize and reward miners longterm and sustain currently miner values (thus resale values) for longer... meaning absolute longterm mining has the potential to be much more profitable.

The difficulty has been skyrocketing for a long time now and yet I've beat every single break-even target so far. If the price of Kaspa goes up, what you said largely does not matter. Mining Kaspa for the long-term has been a fantastic idea and will likely continue to be.

@@YourFriendAndy This is not sustainable, which means that the ROI is further and further away, unless the price increases more than the % of difficulty, and this is not happening. Kaspa is a very-early stage project and it could fails as Kadena as well. in other hand KAS ASIC, will be depreciated -90% after 1 yr +- , meanwhile BTC ASIC, you can resell it in the reselling market.

@@h4d3s666 We don't know if it's sustainable. You are very correct that it is very early. It's too early to know if it's sustainable or if the experiment of Kaspa will work out. BUT if Kaspa hits even my most conservative price targets, it will be incredibly worth mining now because I mine and hold. So far that bet has paid off big for me and I have a sneak suspicion it will continue to. If it does, the machines will also hold their value very well. But I cannot know for sure until we arrive in the future. I will continue to make this bet though.

Kaspa has no chance of competing with Solana… Why do people think hash rate equals token price… It doesn’t… Kaspa has come along way. But it seems to be bottlenecked after KRC-20 launch which was not a success

Just depends on the price of Kaspa. Rewards going down aren't super relevant if the price goes high enough. In the bear market I made wayyyyy more BTC rewards each day, but at the beginning of this year I made way more per day in USD despite much lower rewards. These comments keep you on the sidelines. I'd encourage you to think bigger.
