Buddy this was fantastic ... the perfect balance of humour, interest and camera work ... class tunes as ever well picked. Seriously mate .... even the ending was enjoyable and I normally hate when they end! Worth all the effort fella!
Great to see you again! Loved the vlog, and the walk around the marina and docks was brilliant. I love exploring the whole area around boats and the work that goes on around them, so your vlog was bang on. Take care, 👋
Superb filming and commentaries Robbie. May I say without any criticism intended rather a preferred option of mine. We cleaned out and capped off our pump out toilet and went to the cassette route. I hope you're good and keeping well. Great to see you on our screens again. Keep safe warm dry and virus free.
Good video and chat as always. God bless you Robbie and all the chosen ones who are able in good conscience to empathise and fund your uniquely well described vision, to teach us about modern life from the waterway and canal environment. I am in awe.
Robbie I really enjoyed this vlog and although born and bred in Sheffield never actually knew where Goole was or how big it was so I found it most interesting. Cheers and keeeeeeep cranking!
Aloha Robbie from the big island of Hawaii agree with many of the others your blogs are a nice break. I love the peaceful attitude and history you provide viewers. Always a joy to watch you and CHG as well Fran and Rich. Yes our volcano is making news our farm in Captain Cook is safe so far. You and the pub of the week rock!
Decidedly neither boring nor disgusting. 🏆Cracker job with your backing tracks - fresh beats! Whatever wind noise suppression tech you employ ... it works quite well. Videography, patter, canal and local history, pub culture ... all aspects engaging ... all top shelf! 👍💯🖖
Boring? I think not. Loved everything about it. Well, maybe not so much the pump out or the poor animal. But, the rest... Wonderful. Especially the last part. I love seeing the canals through your eyes, Robbie. Be well!!! Xo
45 years ago my late husband bought me a classic Jag....he took it out onto a not finished state highway and buried the needle. I don't think he even checked oil ...needless to say he blew the engine..when they brought it back on the back of a lift truck I wanted to turn it into a flower pot..he didn't think it funny. ..........I am enjoying your roami g around this town. Seems like we seldom get to see much of the villages etc....your pub of the ---- week or what where is always fun for me. Thanks for taking me out of these 4 walls and down the canal.
It was a cracking DJ set, and a lovely hot day for a pint. Good to see some local sites. Looking forward to the Pocklington canal vlog. It's where I grew up, so hope you enjoyed it.
Thank you Robbie for a cheerful vlog. I was a bit down until you shared the full toilet and dead fox shots. Lol I thought things were going to pick up when you said beavers, but a let down. On a serious note I really enjoy your work. Thank you.
Great to see your in our neck of the canals. Hope everyone at Goole Marina treats you kindly. That is where I am moored. Lovely people. Cheers Les and Anne on Glendyne
Quality cranking Robbie. Wind, floaters, and toilets all in one vlog. Truly spoilt 😄 I'm heading out that way, in the new year, all going well. Looking forward to it all the more now
Brilliant mate, nothing 'boring' here! You put so much heart and soul into every video in a way no-one else does, and it really shows. You're a damn good film-maker! Of all the youtubers I follow - you are the only one I can say hand on heart I've watched all your videos and right to the end, never skipped one or had to press fast-forward. You always make me laugh out loud, and I always wish they were longer! I've already watched this one 3 times, and will no doubt watch it again... Keep doing what you're doing mate, keep moving forward, and keep crankin' it!
What a crack up, brilliant. Now I always make sure I've got a brew or two on hand when hanging round with you Robbie, dont know why. An excellent vlog, heaps of everything you never realized you had to know, perfect. Your mic acted perfectly throughout. Thank you Robbie, take care.
great vlog Robbie. I turned right onto the New Junction Arm, so was great to see the journey upto Goole. looks a very interesting place. pub of the week looks like the venue to visit though. cheers pal... 🤗😉🍻
So pleased to see you cranking on my iPad ….. does that even sound possible ? Well thankfully it is possible and I enjoyed this journey, not finding it boring or disgusting. Always creative, always the authentic canal life with its ups and downs. Can’t beat it . Hope you’re keeping well , that the holiday was a good break for you and that we see you again soon .
You've run out of beer? That's extremely bad planning - how dare you! 😁 (We've all done it - although I've now reached the point where I take steps to ensure it'll never happen again!)
Very interesting; thanks for the upload. I am a relatively late arrival to your channel so I am playing catch up. Looking forward to the next new installment.
as soon as I saw the start I thought, ah Pollington Lock, I know it well. You heading to Goole, you madman, my yard is in Goole only a few min from the marina by the Dutch River (at 8:47) but as you know I don't moor up there LOL. We used to do circus workshops during the summer program when it was a museum @ 15:00 Tis funny seeing the town I have been attached to for the last 22 years, being a Sussex lad.
Robbie, hello I've watched your TV series and thought it was great, a real sort of chill feeling when watching it, but this....its miles better!! I really loved this VLOG , the info and the humour . So , I've subscribed , have a great day
Main cars imported through Goole were Renaults. You missed the Tom Pudding Hoist, the big Green one in most of the video, great history, you even went to the namesake pub and the lowther is now the oldest Hotel in England. Also the water towers, Salt & Pepper Pot. Infact theres a pathe news video showing it being built in 1926, worth a watch. However you did do a lovely piece on Goole.
Thanks Peter that’s very kind but I’m sorry to say 1) I wasn’t talking about the cars imported through goole, I was talking about Southampton, 2) no i didn’t miss it I’ve already covered it on instagram and will pass it on next vlog AND 3) the Lowther is not the oldest hotel in England - it was built relatively recently 1824- 1826. Please everyone do your research before posting you could be misleading thousands of other people
Hi Robbie loving your Video's especially as your in our area at the moment. Love the Lister twin in your boat! If you ever need parts or mechanical knowledge then give us a shout!! Especially love those Listers! Taa Tom from Scunthorpe.
Yeah, you have take each canal or river as it comes - it should always be enjoyable but you can’t have fun and excitement all the time. My home patch, the River Great Ouse, is a good example, having really attractive sections and some really boring bits!
Very nice vlog, as always and good to see you posting again. If you're going to go up the Pocklington canal you should watch Narrowboat Will's most recent series to prepare for what you'll be up against. It's quite something for sure. Take care and stay well.
Aye up Robbie! Enjoying the good weather on the Naughty Lass? I know you enjoy your music...thought you might appreciate a recommendation...Beluga Lagoon-'The Small Boat and the Big Sea' I think you may enjoy! Keep up the fine work mate. Regards Mike
Watching again before another flamin' work meeting. Dare I suggest at this time of year ... I can't help suspecting you are dipping in and out of series 4! (now sub 1.5 years till i plan to be on the water)
Re Sooty, Harry Corbett's son Matthew continued the Sooty Show, and on retiring decided to crank it, bought a narrowboat and uploaded (or got uploaded) some footage onto YT (him cranking it on the Leeds & Liverpool).
Another fab not boring one Robbie. Love the buildings the docks the heritage so so interesting! Glad you got your poop sucked out. How often do you have to empty it? Does sink and shower water go anywhere?
Oh Robbie's got a new vid; so I quickly grab some supper and a drink..... yet over flowing toilet and dead fox somewhat dented my appetite. Keep it real Robbie, keep it real.
Actually not bad at all! The toilet, well, that's part of life. The pub looked like great fun. Keep paddling and cracking on, my dear! -Kathy Schauf---@----@.
You’ve taught me something new this week🇺🇸.. there are two Rivers named Ouse… the Regular River Ouse and Ouse The Great and Powerful🤣…. Thx for taking us along
Different is good. I've just watched boating on a budget on the same stretch of water. (I think) can't be many canals that have reservoir linked in that area. They came from Sheffield.
Thank you for another great video, I should've took the hint from the title as the first couple of minutes weren't the best to watch whilst having my breakfast! 🙈 😂 Can I also ask, are you able to vote in local or national elections if you have no fixed address? I've always wondered how boaters do so. Thank you
I got curious and looked it up. It's possible to register at the last place one was permanently registered, at a boatyard, or at a friend or relative's address. There are special forms to fill out if one has no permanent address. Interesting!
Another great video Robbie. Always wondered how do you decide where you are heading to next on your travels? Do you plan very far in advance or just go where the urge takes you?
Thank you Claire! Good question, honestly these days I have to plan my trips around where my bbc producer says the next series will most likely take place! But I am quite spontaneous so most of the time I just like to wake up (slowly lol) and get cranking™️
It's not exactly Constable country but interesting. Get your point about'real' and manufactured pubs. They mightn't be as pretty or clean ,but better the real thing than someone's idea of what one should be.
That was a roller coaster of emotions. And the most times the word 'beaver' has been used on a video outside wildlife documentaries, I imagine.
Buddy this was fantastic ... the perfect balance of humour, interest and camera work ... class tunes as ever well picked. Seriously mate .... even the ending was enjoyable and I normally hate when they end! Worth all the effort fella!
Aw thanks chap makes all the knob tweaking worthwhile 😜
Totally agree. I pop in and out with you Robbie (sorry mate) This one was a really goid mix. Thanks a lot.
Great to see you again! Loved the vlog, and the walk around the marina and docks was brilliant. I love exploring the whole area around boats and the work that goes on around them, so your vlog was bang on. Take care, 👋

Hang in there Robbie. Sometimes a pump-out of the dunny is the highlight of the day 😃

A third fox that definitely wasn't afloat. Nice to see that disco legends Chic are still remembered at 11:19"

A little disgusting!
Thanks so much yep a lot of tweaking the peaks in the audio!
Bring back pub of the week theme music??? It makes my heart sing…
Great content and some surprisingly different ships in Google. Good to see you doing a vlog in these trying times . Keep smiling.
Thanks Robbie for another cracking vlog. Seeing Goole again brings back some great memories. Not a bad place. Must get back there.
Random classical painting in a frame on a fence - love it! lol
Definitely not boring at all. Thank you Robbie for sharing your adventures.
Great to see you again, no matter how mundane you may feel it is. Take care out there.
Boring? I think not. Loved everything about it. Well, maybe not so much the pump out or the poor animal. But, the rest... Wonderful. Especially the last part. I love seeing the canals through your eyes, Robbie. Be well!!! Xo

It looked like a dead badger to me Robbie?
Thanks for your continued insight into living on the canal.
All the best.
The tour round the DockYards - Brilliant! Robbie 👏👏👏😎
Hi Robbie watching your vlog from Capetown, South Africa , love them, keep going. Thank you for keeping us entertained!!
Great to see your in our neck of the canals. Hope everyone at Goole Marina treats you kindly. That is where I am moored. Lovely people. Cheers Les and Anne on Glendyne

Lovely how full, and clear that canal to Goole is.
In contrast the Lancaster is a nightmare, full of weeds n shopping trolleys 😢

No way boring Robbie, nice cruise into Goole, nnever did that bit on our narrowboat. Well done
Oh the joys of canal boats toilets! Toilet stories unite!😉
Lovin it Robbie 👌
I was wondering what was the disgusting bit then I saw that thing in the water 😦 Interesting video as always mate 😘
You've run out of beer? That's extremely bad planning - how dare you! 😁

Another fab not boring one Robbie. Love the buildings the docks the heritage so so interesting! Glad you got your poop sucked out. How often do you have to empty it? Does sink and shower water go anywhere?
Every 5-6 weeks - shower etc just gets manually pumped/drained into the canal 👍

@@RobbieCumming Oh no ! That's bad. Ah well, stick to the lagers !

You should have taken the fox out of the water robbie, and gave him a proper burial.
Are their many facilities for your pump out toilet and would you recommend that system over others?
I can recommend it as it most closely resembles a household toilet but it’s expensive and no there aren’t many facilities
@@RobbieCummingfrom the experience and knowledge you have, which system would you recommend?
Any with plenty of marinas along it’s route such as T&M as the crt machines aren’t reliable
