Octane’s jump pad upgrade does work on teammates, it’s an upgrade to his jumppad. Which also means enemies can use it, that’s why his ultimate changes color, so you can see if that jumppad has that ability.
Yeah, had a teammate Maggie throw her ult to get us out of zone faster. It bounced back and hit me and our Bangalore back further into the zone and stunned us slightly leading to our deaths to the zone. Truly an Maggie moment. So I can confirm, it'll hit 2 targets at once... Even your mates..
Newcastles +250 hp for the mobile shield is a must and if you don't have a gold knockdown I don't see why you wouldn't have the extra health regeneration for the squad. I would only pick the stronger ult for ratting last zone or if I have a really good position. You can't go wrong with his ult perk tbh
That thick shield comes in clutch I couldn’t tell u how many times someone w a rampart shows up to shred my squad and I’ve used his shield to block/counter attack
Honestly I love this new upgrade system. I definitely hope some legends get tweaks over time but I feel like it’s a great way to tweak legends without having to do full blown reworks
I like the new perk system but they have to give more thought and creativity making them because some of them are very lazy, they nerfed some of the characters kits and added the unnerfed versions of them as a perk
For Crypto, i think they should make make the 10-second drone cool down a permanent part of his kit. They should replace it with something like Fuse's "Scar sissue" perk. Take 50% less EMP damage and no stun.
For bloodhound, Odin’s glare doesn’t increase the duration of the scan, it increases the portion of the scan where the full bodies are outlined before they turn into diamonds. I still think it’s better bc for teammates who don’t use bloodhound a lot, the diamonds can be hard to see compared to the full outlines. I also want to point out that the white ravens only spawn when no enemies are nearby, so it’s not very useful into the late game

I think two drills is better than one big one as you can always shoot two drills into a big area to have the same affect but u can’t do the opposite if u just have one big drill

The Arc Star gen. perk I only use if my squad collectively just want to find centre ring and hold fort good example is using catalyst, conduit and Wattson (me 😬). In this situation defence is already tight so arc stars to keep enemies at bay or damage them behind their cover is an excellent convenience 🤓… Hope you’re still skating bro 😊👍🏿

I like murder machine in Revenant over the cooldown reduction personally. Good for having instant info, then if you get his lvl 3 upgrade where it just resets on knocks anyways, that cooldown reduction isn’t really needed
Ballistic's perk doesn't thr triple length that it's on an enemy, it just triples the length of it staying on the ground. Always take double bullet, its much MUCH better.
As a Crypto main, what you said about Crypto is spot on. There's no reason to get network traffic when its tied to purple armor, too late into the game. Would see better use in blue perk. Also the ult CD is so strong that nothing can compete against it. I would say the ult cd and network traffic should be switched. Would love double cd.
Honestly zip line zen is either way for me because it’s not just for you. It’s whenever you ult then for 30 seconds your zip line will make EVERYONE that takes it receive 25% less damage. Makes taking the zip line just a little bit safer compared to possible inting.
Newcastle main here, gotta say for his level 1 perk its the extra hp all the way for me. As you said both upgrades are great and have a point. The speedy shield is great for a hyper aggro newcastle trying to farm clips. But before season 20 i found myself frustrated by how many teams knew to just tear in to a mobile shield to destroy it. It was bad to the point you couldnt even pop a batt. With the strengthened shield though it requires all 3 enemies to shoot at you for them to break it in a timely manner. This lets you do basically whatever you want once that shield is up. Its a godsend and I reccomend it highly to any newcastle aiming to win the game rather than farm clips.
As a Octane main on controller always two pads. Can get yourself out of situations if you have roller brain and it's worth more than a singular bounce. I don't think it's even close. Two pads by far
people sleeping on big bang on fuse, if youre finding yourself running into you fuse ult so often that this matters find yourself a new legend. being able to find nades without having to sort through every deathbox is very useful especially in late game situations when looting is a determent. taking battery collection on conduit is also good for that same reason, 10% on her ult radius isnt moving the needle and i doubt it effects any aspect of a game, while battery collection can spot out batterys in the late game when all your truly need to loot are batterys, nades and, ammo. theyre just more practical perks.

Ash don't need 2 snares. The long duration is the one you pick! For your own safety is good and for ofensive is also good! You can snares and throw 2 arc stars behind their cover and they will be damaged by it. Also, when you use your ult in a defensive way, to run from enimies, you ult and snares the exit of the portal and then run away, they will chase you and get stuck there giving you the time to reposition or heal
I believe that instead of reducing explosion damage by 25%, Octane should have received a buff to his jump pad. This buff could cause the jump pad to explode when an enemy attempts to use it, or it could push the enemy back, creating distance and making it less desirable for people to follow Octane after he has used the jump pad to escape.
Newcastle lvl 2 upgrade MUST be the faster mobile shield. My favorite thing to do with him is to stick arc stars onto his mobile shield and send it in to enemies locking down a building or smth. This perk makes it soooo easy.
Exactly, she's incredibly underwhelming. For a controller legends rampart and caustic both have damage boosting abilities while cat has better area denial. Conduit gives shields much more efficiently and as a tactical. They really need to rework her kit honestly.
I disagree with the ash ones. When you do get the opportunity to scan a box. Having a full minute of live pinging on where the enemies are and which direction they are facing is stupid strong.
If u can get the lifeline self revive off its amazing and if u get fully killed and revived than you get it back unlike the care package. Self revive is always worth grabbing bc u never know if u can actually get it off and when the care package give u a dang bow in zone 3-4 it’s just worthless
Rev’s tac cool down reduction is enticing, but running murder machine until you get the tac reset on knock upgrade is a much better combo. Got 500 kills with him this season already.

I think Mirage wins in terms of good upgrades. His ult with the one perk is so fast its borderline stupid. And both of his final perks are good and work well with his kit.
It's like Respawn let their kids write down some perks on a piece of paper and the team put them all in a hat and let the children pull em out of said hat!
I feel that solo queue has not gotten better in ranked even with the mmr gone I have been nothing but unlucky with randoms that are mute and braindead. Not having fun so far to say the least

For lifeline, cooldown reduction is almost always the one to go for. The actual reduction in revive speed is only about 1 second. For lifeline, because she revives automatically, it’s not that impactful in my opinion
I choose the 1 sec revive reduction every time because in apex every second is important, I only choose reduction Cool down tactical drone heath if I am solo without teammates
That caustic advice was horrible. There is no need to ever pick throwing Q further. The bigger ult changes your entire game play and is much more impactful

When I'm playing Caustic, I'm putting down a lot more traps than I am ults, and if I'm trying to be strategic with them, greater range gives you more flexibility with play style. If you're not playing purely defensively as Caustic, throwing traps farther makes more sense than a larger ult radius.

I actually think that Rampart is being slept on. The perks make her incredible, especially the ultimate is so much more viable now.

True, but throwing and moving the shield to push wasn't an issue before imo. Especially if you play him a while
valks missiles don’t just get wider, the original 4x3 provides 12 and the 5x3 provides 15

The greedy snar is way better then twin snar, you can snar the whole team multiple times the single snar only hit one player & only once
